《Watson&Holmes》Case2 Two diamonds - ch20

"Honestly, why do I have to go to Brentford?" Mycroft Holmes sat hand to cheek, mumbling. Give harsh stare at the person sitting next to who drove him into the carriage, insist him to followed by. Even if it was this late, he should have been in his own house, sitting on his favorite sofa, sipping tea, reading a book with pleasure.
"Oh, every once in a while, Mycroft, you should join the investigation from start to the end," said Sherlock.
"Lazy. Difficult. Cumbersome. Annoying"
"But you haven't been to Brentford either. Think about changing the atmosphere or ... come on a trip with your little brother."
Sherlock grinned at his brother's frowning face. The young man tilted his face to the window of the carriage. The touch of the wind bathes the cheeks. From this point, he saw the hand that was driving the bridle of the horse. And if he looks from the Mycroft's window, he will probably see the figure sitting wrapped up in terrifying.
Immediately decided to go to the house where Behrouz lived in Brentford. So, they chartered an entire carriage and had Watson take a drive. With Behrouz sitting beside him to give directions, of course, Behrouz’s thoughts of fleeing were spelled by Watson's green eyes. No matter what the reason, Sherlock sensed that Behrouz was terrified of Watson.
"Now you're busy again," said Mycroft, referring to the client who came to Sherlock before they left.
"Well, his name is Griswald Armstrong is hired to find a missing relative," replied Sherlock Holmes, recalling when they interrogated Behrouz in the room. And Mrs. Hudson called, saying a guest had come. Because he wanted Watson to watch over Behrouz. Sherlock went down to meet the client.
"Mr. Holmes, I came to ask for progress about Wainwright." Griswald Armstrong said immediately when Holmes entered the living room.
"I am very sorry. Right now, I haven't had a clear clue about Mr. Wainwright's disappearance."

Sherlock Holmes recalls his search for Wainwright's clues at an abandoned building in North Swandam Alley brings unrelated matters. Despite how he met The True Watcher, he got a ticket to attend an underground auction. Met Irene Adler. Watson was kidnapped. And the story of Behrouz Zakaria.
Griswald frowned at the detective with a frustrated expression as nothing progressed. Wainwright was like half part of the Armstrong family. Not knowing whether he is alive or dead, and disappeared with a family treasure bracelet diamond. It was something that made him unable to wait patiently. But to vent his emotions on the detective he hired reduces the value of the Armstrong family leader.
"Did your assistant not come to listen today? Or did you send him out to help find a clue?" Griswald asked, changing the matter.
"Watson is up there, Mr. Griswald, to be honest. Before accepting work from you, another employer brought the case for me to do first. And I'm going to close that case. After this, I will give my talent to find Mr. Wainwright," said Sherlock Holmes.
"Can't you split with your assistant? If you work it separately, the case will be done faster. Am I right?" Griswald said in a connotation: you send an assistant to close the first case and quickly find Wainwright for me.
"You not wrong. But it depends on the case."
Griswald stared at the Holmes's polite face and sighed.
"Well, It can't be helped. I have to wait then. I'm not going to interfere with your work. But hopefully, I'll get your good news soon." Griswald said, then left the house. After that, Sherlock and the others rented a carriage and set off.
The disappearance of Wainwright Armstrong if he was taken by kidnappers or mafia gangs. The opportunity for Holmes's network of children to find Wainwright was difficult. He was thinking about the news seller, The True Watcher. If he bought the news from that person, he would get a clue faster. But because Griswald didn't want to be a big deal, he rules it out. While Sherlock was planning a search for Wainwright's clues. Mycroft Holmes suddenly asked.

"Sherlock, recently ... been playing some weird drug?"
"... a little ..."
Non-interrogative words or scolding made Sherlock not know how to respond, thinking that his brother was still as sharp as ever. And talking about the drugs from the organization urged Sherlock to think of him accidentally saying bad things to Watson. Mycroft glanced at his younger brother before turning out the window.
"When you with that guy, you have changed, gentler. Probably because of many influences."
"Huh? The one who different is you, what is it suddenly saying ..." Sherlock laughed in his throat. Look at Mycroft, who now blushes all the face.
"Because of who's forcing me to do hated things, like changing the atmosphere going outside, traveling with little brother, heh," Mycroft reversed Sherlock's sentence back. "When thing didn't go the way it used to, I raved a lot."
Finished speaking, Mycroft pulled the scarf up and closed his mouth. Sit and listen to the sound of the wind merging with the sound of horse footsteps. Perceived the rough path through the body with suffering expression until arrived at Brentford.

"Here"
Cheryl spoke to the boss when they arrived at the not sizeable fenced area. They can see the fence on the opposite side if the grass is less overgrown. They got off the carriage at the back of the house. The House of Behrouz Zakaria used to live with his wife before got debt until having to escape. It seems they didn't sell house or land to pay for their debt.
"There are traces of people who have walked in recently," Irene returned to report. "Based on the size, footprints are adult and male footprints. Expected to be the footprints of Behrouz Zakaria."
"The reason for not entering the front is probably not wanting to be seen," adds Cheryl.
"In a house that hasn't been cleaned for years, if that guy hid the treasure here, there would be a trace," said the boss and then jumped over the fence. Before turning to tell the two women who wear long dresses, "If you two can follow in, then come in."
But he had just passed halfway through the grass. William ran in to report.
"Boss, reports surrounding from the surveillance unit. Two fleeing men were coming to the front door with two other strangers. Total four men."
"What do the other two look like?" Cheryl asked.
"One of them wore a hat, looks quite young. Another man wrapped a scarf a little older. They both are more than 170 centimeters tall and have black hair."
"If John H. Watson came, one of the two black-haired men would be Sherlock Holmes," Irene analyzed.
"Command everyone to hide, waiting for orders," the boss said to William. "Wait for them to go in and get the treasure first. The target is treasure and John H. Watson. Watson's weakness is Sherlock Holmes. Capture the two men, forcing the target to surrender, kills Behrouz Zakaria immediately. GO!"
"Yes, sir."
"Boss, John H. Watson has far superior potential than a normal human. What if he was conscious that we were watching here?" Cheryl asked.
"When facing a person who fights directly won't win. If were you, what are you going to do?" The boss smiled.

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!
