~POV change[Felix]~
"Now what the hell is this thing?"
I stare down at a mysterious little creature the size of a rat. It has green fur and an orange beaver tail, other than that; it pretty much looks like a normal rat.
This is the first to-be "monster" I thought I would fight, but...it looks a size too small and a tad too weak for my taste
Ding!-
[Rat trahentium]: A species of creatures from the planet [Trail]. This species rose from the bottom of their food chain to the last species of their food chain. They are scavengers cursed with ever-lasting hunger and the need to consume. They decimated their planet into a barren ghost land in just a few centuries.
Strengths: [Numbers] Weaknesses: ???
I take a sharp breath before slowly walking away without turning around.
This isn't something I can fight. Plus my instincts are screaming at me to retreat.
So I did just that.
After creating 20 meters distance between me...and that thing.
I turn around and run.
...
Wheeze!
Wheeze!
Huff!
Finally...I don't know for how long I ran...but it was far.
"Now...where am I?" The scenery was yet again the same, so I didn't know where I was.
ROAR!
CLANG!
"ARAGH!"
"Don't stop! It's almost dead!"
CLANG!
ROAR!
Multiple voices and screams sounded in the distance.
I hesitated, but I knew I had to see this monster...I-I mean...people?
So I ran in the direction of the noise.
Soon I reached a small cliff, slowly I glanced down. A buffalo-sized alligator with a rough-looking giant turtle shell on its back rushed towards 15 fleeing individuals.
But three people stood in its way.
A broad and muscular-looking man was armed with a shield and a sword tackled the creature from the side with his round roman buckler.

The creature was only slightly shaken by his tackle and responded by flinging its giant spiked ankylosaurus tail at him.
THUMP!
It banged against the shield sending the man flying several meters.
While it was distracted another man came in and struck it with a long silver spear.
The spear penetrated deep into its eye and it screamed out in pain.
"I got it!" The man screamed in a British accent.
"Good. My turn." Another voice declared in a deep American accent.
The creature swung its tail in defiance but was blocked again by the man with the shield.
"I'll cover for you." He promised with a strained voice.
"Thanks." The mysterious voice replied.
The man had no weapons...if you didn't count his fists.
He sprinted towards the creature and ducked down under its speeding tail.
"HUUUUAAAAAH!" He screamed in determination.
Under its "chin" his hand coated itself in a layer of glowing neon blue down to his elbow, and he struck.
"BOOOM!"
The impact created a shockwave and a wave of blue fire in every direction.
The creature's head shot up with a snap and its body was flung into the air.
"Thump!"
Its body crashed to the ground on its back with a thunderous thud. It struggled to get up and was flinging around its arms like an infant, its belly was exposed and was smoother and more delicate than anywhere else on its body.
The three men were spent.
The shield guy's hands were shaking due to the impact they received. The "glowing fist" guy was gasping for air on the floor and the spear guy was trying to help them both recover.
Unfortunately the creature was starting to get get back up.
"Hmmm...I hate to be the guy to steal people's kill...but-"

I smiled-
[Acute mind] has been activated.
My eyes glowed a faint blue.
I picked up a random sharp metal pipe and breathed in.
I ran off the cliff and jumped at its exposed area with my "spear"
I positioned my weapon to hit its chest...I hope its heart is somewhere there.
The sharp spike hit the soft flesh and due to gravity and my strength, penetrated deep into it.
A small gust of wind was pushed away in every direction and I looked up at the three men.
Their jaws were agape and eyes wide.
You have gained experience!
"Hello, gentlemen!"

Rekindle
My Newest, and at the same time, Oldest novel. This is a Rewrite of my very first novel that I begun when I was just starting out. It follows the story of Mark Floyd, a broken man who once tried to do what he thought was right... only to be stabbed in the back and thrown away. Now, pulled into a conflict that spans time and space, Mark has a choice to make; Stand up once more, even if it means facing an unknowable future, or let the Embers of his heart die and sink back into darkness. ----------------------------------- “For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity”. Once part of a Special Ops team in the US Army, Mark Floyd thought he had seen the worst that Humanity had to offer. That was until his final mission, one that would leave him a broken and shattered man, betrayed by the Country he served, and abandoned by society as a whole. His dreams filled with nightmares of the ones he failed to protect, mind and memories clouded by booze and more, Mark finds himself stumbling through life without purpose or desire. Life isn't done with Mark yet, however. For as long as even a single ember remains in a persons heart, here is still yet hope for the flames of Passion and Hope to be Rekindled. When the dying embers of Mark's heart catches the eyes of a Being far beyond his understanding, Mark finds himself thrown into a situation not even his years of training could prepare him for. Will this new chance be Mark's hope at both Redemption and Recompense? Or will it simply be the final nail in the coffin for a man already dead to the World? [This is a rework of my very first story. The general story will remain the same, however a few details have been tweaked, the chapters have be Edited better and some chapters have been broken down into smaller chunks for better flow and consistency. The biggest change will be to the System itself; It will be a lot less "Game-like", meaning no stats, levels or similar aspect, though skills will still be present in the form of "Programs". Instead, It'll focus more on the Sigil's nature as super-computers and how they change the world around them. This should make for a much more "natural" and less info-dumpy system.
