Chapter 03 – We are going to war
In the western jungle of the large continent of Regal, at a certain location just inside the Tezireya tribe’s borders, two young chimpanzees can be seen fighting. They shout loudly to each other, releasing barrages of kicks and punches.
This is me and my good friend Pergek.
“This is the end!” using the tree to the side as multiplier for my strenght, I jump to the thick trunk and propel myself from it toward Pergek like superman, trying to blast his head off!
“Oh no you don't!” as an answer to my very reckless attack, Pergek tries to lean backward in order to avoid my punch.
But I’m too fast, and even though he tries to dodge, my fist hits his shoulder. He falls to the ground and rolls away in pain. Taking this opportunity, I quickly throw myself at him and overwhelm him with my weight and strength.
“Haha, this is your win, Metric. But hear my words, the next one is mine!”
Pergek swallows some blood as he lies on the ground completely defeated. I sit on top of him and hold his hands in place like the police do in my old world, Earth.
“You can try!” I snort jokingly
I release my iron lock, help him up.
We only wear leather to cover our private parts, and aren't allowed to wear other clothes. Only by being recognized as a true warrior is one allowed to do so, and we are far from it.
Removing the dirt from his skin, Pergek looks at me.
“So Metric, where are you at?” He asks me, his eyes twinkling with wonder. “How far are you from igniting your your blood?”
“I really don’t know.” I let out a helpless smile.“I have to fight more I guess, but I also think that I need more than just friendly skirmishes like the one we just had. Maybe I can only ignite it in a battle of life and death. How about you?

“Yeah, I got the same feeling.
But you heard about the orangutans? They're preparing for the big war against the gorillas.”
Pergek smiles and then says “We might be drawn in too, since we are the third part of the ape faction. You know what that means, right?”
“Yea. if we’re lucky, we might get the chance ignite our blood and gain the recognition to become true warriors!”
“Exactly!” Slapping his thigh, his eyes burn with fiery passion. “We won’t be in the bottom layer of the society anymore, we will be proud chimpanzee true warriors!”
I place my hands on his shoulder, and reply jokingly. “Mm, but only I can become a warrior, you don’t have it in you. You’ll just get afraid in battle, won’t you, little Pergek?
“Eh?” He hears me, and his face becomes sour. “It’s you who don’t have it in you!”
He punches me in the stomach, I drag him down to the ground, and we begin to fight again. As that, out entire afternoon passed.
…
It’s dark when I drag my sorry body home to the tree crown we live on. Since I was born into this new chimpanzee life, some couple of months had gone past I think, soon half a year. My mother has gotten a bit older, and also a bit more quiet.
“Baby boy, you got home just now?” my mother scolds me. “Where have you been, I’ve been worrying sick for you!”
“I’m not a baby boy anymore, I’m soon going to become a chimpanzee warrior!” I back away and say to my mom. She immediately tunes down.
“What chimpanzee warrior…” her voice is filled with sorrow as she speaks. “You’ll just turn out like your father did... You don’t want to leave me completely alone, now do you?”

That’s right. Father died. He was sent as one of the messengers for the chimpanzee tribe to the upcoming war a while ago. But instead of being friendly greeted like messengers should be, he was ambushed by the a gorilla assassination squad, and could not resist death.
“Sorry mother…” I look down with me head. “But you know, I want to take revenge for his death. And as I do that, I will ignite my blood and become a chimpanzee warrior!”
This world is really strange compared to Earth. Here, the life is much tougher. I don’t know about other animal tribes, but the Tezireya Tribe has to offer sacrifices to the ancestors every time they want to bless a child.
They don’t want children in their tribe; children are just deadweight, and aren’t suitable for this type of environment. Therefore, the blessing allows chimpanzee children to become adults in seconds. Of course, their minds aren't completely adult yet, but they shortly learn what they need.
"Goodnight mother."
"Goodnight Metric."
I cleanse my mouth with some water, since I can't really stand going to bed without doing this. After making my normal routines, I lie down inside the tree crown, at the only spot where the branches don't cover, and take a look at the stars. Even though this world is different, they still have a similar space like we have on Earth.
Maybe this is just another planet, far far away from earth in the wide space? Perhaps there’s a way for me to get back to Earth?
“Hehe.” I chuckle to myself, letting out a helpless smile.
”So what? This is my new life, I’m not a human, nor do I live on Earth. I just got to accept what I have right now and make the best of it. When the war with the gorillas and orangutans start, I’ll have to perform good enough to become a true warrior of my tribe."
...
As darkness covers the jungle, and most chimpanzees are sleeping, there exist a secret meeting inside the lavish building where grandfather priest of the Tezireya tribe lives.
“Chief, the messengers of the orangutans came yesterday, they want us to help them push back the gorillas!”
A dark skinned chimpanzee dressed in tight leather armor bows down to grandfather priest. A dagger hangs to each side of his waist, and his everything up to his eyes is covered by a black veil, similar to an assassin in Joe’s old world Earth.
“Terryk?” the grandfather priest turns his gaze to another chimpanzee. This one also have leather armor, but this one’s is brown, and by his waist there hangs a sharp, shiny sword.
“We can move at any time, but we need more forces if we’re to make significant difference in the battle. I presume that the younger generation are itching to learn the ways of war?” Terryk says with a hoarse voice.
Grandfather priest takes a look at everyone in the room, then slams his skull staff into the floor. "I've come to a decision."
“Kerot, ready the assassination squad. Pick some recruits to it from the young generation when we move out tomorrow.” He says to the chimpanzee with a weil on his face.
The chimpanzee rises up from the ground and salutes. “Yes chief.”
“Terryk. Make our forces more than battle-ready, they'll need it for the upcoming battle.”
“Yes chief.” Terryk salutes too.
Grandfather priest slams his staff into the ground again.
“The Tezireya tribe shall support the ancient orangutans and repel the evil gorillas. Terryk, Kerot. Move out, prepare our forces, we are going to war!

Everyone deals with bullying, racism, judgement on their romantic inclinations and their family's economic status and just general shittiness, right? All of Kellan's friends sure did, and for all of them, entertaiment media were a welcome escape from their painful, dreary lives. After all, who wouldn't want to sail the seas with Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhats, or help Meng Hao con increasingly powerful and influential people, or join Cecil Harvey and his friends on their weird journey to save the world, or make friends with Peter Parker while pretending to not know he was everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero? Kellan certainly wanted to, and while he pursued college to seek out a career he saw himself enjoying, something felt inexplicably empty about his life. So when a decidely sinister force kidnaps him and the prettiest man he's ever seen saves his life and offers him his wildest dreams, Kellan becomes the shopkeeper of a mysterious, dimension hopping shop, complete with a system that helps him acquire items. abilities, materials, and other cool shit to stock it with, as well as some other neat perks. Will Kellan become a boring overpowered MC, like the kind from web fiction that he reads to sate his boredom? Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute. The art, along with more of Nicholas's pieces, can be found at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/51bXz

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!

Gon And Killua Fanfic
Ok similar to my last story this is a fanfic about Gon and Killua. I don't feel comfortable writing about them at the age they are now so I'm aging them up so they will be 16. I have cute pictures to go with the story and some of them they don't look 16 or whatever so we're just going to pretend :)
