《The Deal of Tyler Mouret》-The Underworld- Chapter 9

I got up from the floor, with a splitting headache, why I was on the floor and ¿is that blood? ¿Was I talking with someone? I don't remember... I feel all my body is itching and burning, I don't know what happened "I need a shower" I started walking slowly towards the bathroom.
I saw myself in the mirror and I know I'm not gorgeous, but I have some muscle, not like a ripped guy, more like an athletic one who at least regularly makes some exercise, I have black short hair but not a cropped style, I have a square face, dark brown eyes with a serious look and a good jaw if I say so myself, but what I am not is the extremely pale ghost that I am looking right now, I can even see my veins.
— I know I am pale, but there is a limit, I am almost translucent, I need some sun, today is Saturday maybe I can go to the park... and get Aishti the flower she wanted, but first the shower —When I entered the shower my body was very sensitive, I could feel every water drop and how it dropped from my skin, but the craziest was when I saw my hand and the water was absorbed inside, the color was coming back, but I was still pale white. I started to feel revitalized after the shower, I put something comfy to get out of the house. I was getting out of my room in my way to the kitchen, I was like 5 meters away from the door of my brother's room when I started hearing some moaning and hard breathings coming from the bedroom, I was curious but I felt my father was behind me.
— Hello, Son ¿did you sleep well? it looks like you saw a ghost.

— ¡Oh! Hello dad, hey ¿By chance you don't hear moans? —I signal up to refer to the hall and the bedroom by my side.
— ¿What do you mean son? I don't hear anything and I have a good ear, either way, is time for breakfast, come on.
— Right... — My mother was waiting with the breakfast made in the dining room.
— Hello dear ¿got a good sleep?
— Hi Mom, yes I think so... I am starving too... —For a reason I was feeling ravenous, I always have a normal appetite, but now I need food...
— Well, that is a first, but I like when my family eats, so go on — She serves me eggs, pancakes with honey, bacon, and orange juice. It only lasted 5 minutes and with shame, I asked for seconds. My mother was surprised of seeing me eat so much for the first time, I told her I was going to the park, so I prepared a backpack with everything I could need, and some crackers. With everything ready I left home and walked to the avenue that goes directly to the park.
"Now what I can take to Aishti. Mmmmm, ¿A Lila? no, there isn't any in the park, ¿a Tulip? maybe, but there are a lot of variations, this is harder than I thought... ¿what about the hidden rosebush? My parents always sneaked to that place when they were boyfriends in university, they told me these roses were pink in color with stripes in red and white from the center, that is a pretty weird flower if you ask me, anyway I already found my objective" While I was walking in the street I saw one of those cyclists that go out in the weekends, He was waiting for the traffic light to change, I always liked competing with these guys to the next traffic light, but is really hard to win against a bicycle, but it was always fun trying, ¿so why not again? I got by the side of the cyclist and waited, he got the signal because he was smiling.

— ¿Ready kid?.
— Always — I waited for the green light and both started gaining velocity, obviously I was first because I was on foot, but he passed me seconds later, from nowhere my legs started trembling and got tense, it was ridiculous when I passed by the side of the guy and showed him one of my best smiles, the perplexity in his face was worth taking a picture. I kept running until I saw the park, I observed my legs being marked but they were getting relaxed and got they normal aspect.
—¿What happened to my body?.

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!
