《Maverick Engineer Saga》Chapter 19: Secret Recipe # 1 (Only known to Mad Scientists)

It was mid-day, and Aachman and his friends were sitting in the shade of a peepal tree and meditating.
Aachman yawned and tried to clear his drowsiness, but after a sumptuous meal, meditation was a hard thing to do. He almost slept a few times when he tried to meditate. To stop himself from sleeping, he observed what the lackeys and the young lady were doing. The young lady was performing forms. Aachman thought it was a good workout after lunch to digest the food.
The young lady's performing forms looked similar to dance, and Aachman identified even a few stances like a cat running away from a dog or a buffalo's supreme nonchalance which made him happy since he was not so clueless about martial arts these days.
While lackeys looked like they were meditating, they could be sleeping, and Aachman could not bother to find out which one.
Aachman concluded that he was bored out of his mind, and meditation was boring without a Prana to play with. He looked around and found dried coconut leaves on the ground. He was a science nerd in his past life, so he knows a few things about science. He started to make the model out of leaves from his previous life memories.
The young lady who was performing forms stopped and looked curiously at Aachman.
"Aacha, What are you doing?" She came near Aachman.
"Ah, young lady, I am making a helicopter fan," Aachman said in a distracted tone.
"Heh, What is helikaptar?" Akalya was burning with curiosity.
"It is a toy that can fly," Aachman, still distracted, said in a matter-of-fact tone.
""FLY!"" It seems lackeys were eavesdropping on their conversation and rushed to the Aachman to see what he was doing. They surrounded him and looked amazed at what he was making.
It took a while, but Aachman expertly folded leaves using knots and loops, he created helicopter blades. He took the small stick after removing coconut leaves from it and inserted it into the helicopter propeller.
"Finished!"
"What? How can this thing fly?" Fatty, who was looking at Aachman, was disappointed.
Baldy whose father was a blacksmith by trade and did know something about science.
"Without wings, it cannot fly," baldy said stubbornly.
Aachman didn't listen to them, instead, he stretched his hands outwards. Due to the warm breeze, the helicopter's blades started rotating.
"See, it is rotating on its own because of the flow of air," All the three children looked amazed, but the baldy tried to hide it out of envy.
"It is still not flying though," said baldy in a stubborn tone.
Aachman raised his hands over the head and placed the toy in between his palms and released it by rubbing his hands. The toy soared upwards in the sky and flew for some time before it fell to the earth.
"Ah, it flew."
"How?"
The young lady silently stretched her hands towards Aachman and stared at him. When Aachman did not react, she stomped her foot and puffed her cheeks.

Aachman again lost to the cuteness appeal of the young lady; he obediently picked up the toy and gave it to her. Her whole face lit up. Lackeys also got their turn afterwards and played with it until Jaa came and ate the toy, well, it was made of leaves.
"Young lady, Jaa, ate my toy! Guys, let's catch Jaa and make him understand that he cannot mess with us," Aachman was livid because his first creation in this world was well-liked by everyone to be eaten by this son of the goat.
Even lackeys, the fatty and the baldy, were angered and ready to use violence to discipline this vile young goat. It tried to look meek and harmless, but Aachman was not buying it. He was ready to pounce on it. Maybe today was the day he could finally eat tender mutton meat.
The young lady prevented lackeys and Aachman from hurting Jaa. "He does not know what he is doing. See, he spit the toy back. Can you forgive him, Aacha?" Young Lady defended her pet vigorously.
Everyone cooled down after the young lady supported Jaa. They looked at each other's faces but did not talk against the young lady.
Fatty wanted to change the topic, so he asked "What are we going to do now"?
"Meditation" Aachman's emotions were still riding high, so he snapped at the fatty.
"Why don't you make another toy? Let's play more" the young lady said with expectation.
"I don't think Jaa will allow us to play. Whatever remains of the toy he already ate it back."
Even the young lady could not come back from this. Aachman glared at the young goat which had the gall to smirk. He was creeped out by the face of the goat with a smirk.

Mangoes were considered the king of fruits in India. It was often used as an ingredient in various Indian foods, and the most important thing to know about mangoes was that they were yummy.
The young lady and her lackeys and her pet goat were spying on the farm from the bush.
"Ah, young lady, please consider your decision again. Munna is a hot-headed person and the last person who tried to steal mangoes from his farm was tied to the tree for the whole day as a punishment," baldy was cautioning her master about the consequence of stealing from the farmer Munna.
Fatty came running towards the young lady after he raided the kitchen for a few ingredients at the behest of Aachman.
"Mangoes are yummy. Young lady, please think about the pulpy, sweet flavour of mango. Don't you want to eat it now?" Aachman tried to brainwash the young lady.
The young lady gulped and had a faraway look in her eyes.
"What do you mean by sweet pulpy flavour? The mangoes are still unripened. The young lady, please don't fall for Aacha's lies," baldy said in exasperation.
"Don't worry, young lady, I brought the ingredients which, according to Aacha, go well with the sour taste of unripened mangoes." Fatty conveyed his intention to Akalya.

"You too, Fatty! If we need mangoes, we can get them from the chief's farm which is bigger than Munna's. There is no need to steal," baldy persuaded his master from foolhardy behaviour.
"Hmph, everyone knows stolen mangoes are tastier than legally owned mangoes. It is more thrilling to steal and escape. Young lady, also, please think about all the high-speed chases and narrow escapes you can experience from this endeavour." Aachaman advocated for his cause.
The young lady started to breathe deeply in excitement and her eyes lit up like a torch.
"Ok, now what is the plan?" Fatty was eager for some mangoes.
Before even fatty finished his speech, the young lady roared her war cries and started to run towards Munna's farm. "MY UNRIPENED MANGOES WAIT FOR ME. THIS ELDER SISTER WILL SAVE YOU FROM THE TYRANNY OF OLD AGE."
Lackeys and Aachman were frozen for a second, and they could only see the dust left by the young lady's incredible pace at running.
"Shit," Aachman cursed.
"What do we do?" Baldy panicked.
Aachman emotion cooled after a brief moment of panic and shrugged. "If it is a young lady, she can take care of the situation."
"No, that is what I want to discuss before the young lady takes off. Munna owns a mean mongrel which aided him last time when someone invaded his farm." Fatty interjected.
"Psst, do you think some mutt can be a problem for the young lady?” Aachman brushed off the concerns.
"Hmm, no, Balu is right. The young lady might be strong, but she is not going to use her strength against an innocent animal," baldy reasoned with Aachman.
"What about Jaa? She was carrying him when she was charging towards the farm?" Aachman enquired.
"Jaa is useless in fights."
Aachman cursed the useless goat."Then we should catch up with the young lady,"
"Do you think we can?" fatty doubted Aachman's words.
"SHUT UP! and run" Aachman roared.
When the Aachman group reached the farm, the young lady was running toward them. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"Young lady, did you get mangoes?" Fatty asked eagerly, but the young lady did not reply or even stop but continued running and passed over them.
They all heard a dog barking noise and saw a mean black dog that was charging toward them. Aachman and lackeys stopped and turned and started running again.
"Wait for me, young lady" the baldy started running at a crazy speed.
When someone was chasing a group. The person need not be the first to escape pursuit, but at least the said person needs to be faster than the last person in the group. Unfortunately, Aachman is in the last position. There was brief competition for the last place between fatty and Aachman but Aachman was smaller and weaker than the rest of the group.
The barking noise was getting closer and closer. Aachman turned to look at the dog which was not big but had an ugly face that might make a faint-hearted cry. The dog pounced on Aachman, but he narrowly escaped.
"Fatty, help me" Aachman cried for help.
"No way."
"If you did not help me, the dog is not the only one going to bite your ass," Aachman threatened.
"Aiyo!'' Fatty was holding his ass while running might look like a silly thing to watch, but, sadly, Aachman's ass is also not free from danger, it might also get bitten by the dog.
"Shut up, just give the ingredient you got for me" Aachman wailed.
Fatty threw a pouch at Aachman, he opened it in a hurry and took a powder and threw it at the dog, which was gearing up for another pounce on Aachman. Some of the powders got to the dog. It stopped in its tracks, whined and started sneezing. Aachman used this chance to run away as if life depended upon it.

"Aacha, you were right, the chase was thrilling. I saw it all. When you barely escaped the jaws of the dog, it made me feel like a heart in a mouth, and when you threw chilli powder right at its nose at the least expected moment, I felt relieved for your escape. We need to do it again," the young lady was gushing with excitement.
Aachman felt this time plan backfired, and he thought about raising a stink for not helping him when he was in predicament, but he scrapped that notion after listening to the young lady's monologue.
"Young lady, where are the mangoes?" Fatty asked eagerly. He had already forgotten about the recent mishap.
The young lady took half a dozen mangoes from several places on her body.
"Fatty, do you have more ingredients?" Aachman questioned the fatty.
"Yeah, I got a lot more chilli powder and salt, but what are you going to do with it," Fatty asked curiously.
"Haha, you need to mix the salt and chilli powder in the right ratio, otherwise the mixture would either be salty or spicy. It needs to be in the right combination. Afterwards, you need to sprinkle on sliced mango. Trust me, it would be tasty."
All the kids worked together. They washed mangoes and the young lady sliced half a dozen mangoes with her incredible martial arts. Meanwhile, Aachman made the combination and sprinkled it lightly on top of mangoes. Each took their share and started eating.
"Hmmm," the young lady made the sound of appreciation.
"How is it, young lady" Aachman asked.
"It is very tasty. The sour taste of mangoes combined superbly with salt and spiciness from the powders which make it so tasty," the young lady replied.
"Aah, it is not just because of the powders. It is also because of stolen mangoes," Aachman promoted his theory about taste and stolen mangoes.
The young lady wholeheartedly nodded and her eyes became slanted because of happiness. She declared righteously "Stolen mangoes are yummier".
