"What in Sam Hill ya think yer doin'?" Leroy asked as he dodged rapid blasts from Vecto's gun, noticing that Vecto's rage was resulting in the destruction of the forest below. "Have ya lost yer marbles?"

"I'm not going mad!" Vecto yelled, delivering an uppercut in midair.

Leroy shrugged off the punch and followed through with a roundhouse kick that sent Vecto tumbling toward the lake.

Vecto quickly regained balance and activated his thrusters, stopping above the lake. Water gushed up from beneath him as waves rippled away on all sides. "Even before the Alpha Squad was formed, you could have killed Morphaal!" Vecto yelled, hovering over the water. "Then Gyro wouldn't have died. You could have saved us all from Morphaal's murderous path of destruction!"

"And you all A.S. wouldn't be," Leroy said, using telekinesis to hover in the air. "Ya said it yourself. Ya'll A.S. came int'a bein' just to beat Morphaal."

"I don't care about that!" Vecto roared. His shields glowed a darker yellow as he thrust his fists downward, causing the water to shoot up again. This time, Vecto's shields formed a sphere around him, digging into the water as carbon atoms sucked into the mysterious Force Field Shields. Carbon that was absorbed in the water from sunlight rose from the lake as the air swirled around Vecto, supplying his shields with power. "You're a traitor!" Vecto yelled, dashing across the water and jumping to strike Leroy.

He came at Leroy and did a backward flip, bringing his foot up with an arc of dry ice trailing behind. His Air-to-Ice system at the sole of his foot pressurized and froze carbon dioxide as he kicked Leroy in the face.

Vecto executed punches and kicks as Leroy tried to block them. A few hits got through, and Leroy's straw hat flew off.

Blood ran from Leroy's mouth. He punched Vecto aside the head, knocking him back. Then he dropped down and snatched his floating hat, settling it back on his head to hide his shaggy hair.

"I cain't leave these parts, Vecto," Leroy explained.

Vecto didn't care what he had to say. He fired zero point energy blasts down at Leroy.

Leroy swooped low, flying over the water as the blasts scattered around him, gushing water in the air. "I cain't leave!" Leroy yelled. "Or I ain't got no power. I couldn't beat Morphaal!"
