Lore 3 - Battles of the Gods

As time went on, many of Life's creatures grew in power. Never as much as their predecessors, but powerful enough to tower over their peers.

Some grew powerful enough that their brethren considered them gods. Leaders of their packs and emperors of their very races.

It never came as a surprise, with so many powerful creatures standing at the top, that a hierarchy needed to be established between them. And so a battle took place between the gods, claiming many of their lives. Of course some gods didn't participate in the battles, finding the whole concept of 'the most powerful' as folly.

The battles raged on for years. Results forever changing. Some would lose, while some would win. Battles going on for days only to result in both sides weary. Collapsed from overdrawn use of their thought to be inexhaustible energy.

Eleven beasts in particular stood above the rest. The fights between them lasting, weeks on end. The results decided solely through which one the goddess of luck gave a blessing to. Each one's powers belonging to a different elemental path.

Due to their battles being unable to settle the quandary of who held the most power, the beasts came together to announce a decree. As none more powerful than the other, instead of claiming the top seat, they'd reign on the throne of most powerful in their element. The last throne untouched, as no one believed themselves strong enough to challenge it.

The throne for life never disputed over as the original Life rightfully deserved the claim. Never brought up as thrones of anything, Chaos and Void forgotten in time by the masses as they never directly interfered with any of the races lives. Chaos, content with fading, wandered. While, Void's whispers continued but none as loud as before.
