《In Z Finite》2 - The Idiot

Caelum stares in shock at the person that had just fallen in the middle of the fountain.
Caelum thought
-He... He doesn't have wings!
The "prophet" screams
-Aa-aah, THE ENTITY OF PROPHECY!
Everyone stares at him in terror.
He starts talking as he leaves the fountain.
-What? Where? WHAT IS HAPPENING?! WHY ARE WE SCREAMING?!
Leo quickly shifts his focus to the mysterious figure.
-No, it can't be...
Leo then tries to hit him with his spear.
The young man narrowly dodges the lunge but ends up falling backward.
He then speaks while sitting on the ground.
-WHAAAHHHH!!! What a danger! Are you trying to make me more screwed than I already am?!
Leo proceeds with a diagonal cut with the spear against the figure's chest. But when he started to move the spear to execute his attack, the young man reacted quickly, putting his hand on a bracelet on his wrist, which was adorned with a beautiful jewel.
A portal appears in front of the spear, the spear passes through said portal as the jewel on the bracelet glows.
While the tip of the spear was inside the portal, the figure took his hand off his bracelet and the portal disappeared.
The spear, now with its tip cut, ended up becoming a simple staff.
Leo steps back and speaks.
-What kind of abomination are you?
The young man answers.
-Hey what are you talking about you fruit zoophilia?! I'm normal! You guys are the weird ones here...
Some angels in the crowd start throwing stones at the young man and Caelum.
He then places his hand on the bracelet on his wrist again, a wall of portals appears blocking all the stones.
The young
-Hey what are you doing?! Someone could get hurt you idiots!
He fiddles with his bracelet again.
The young guy
-Think...
A bunch of portals appear above the crowd, the rocks they threw earlier now fall through the portals.
The young guy
-About your actions!
The stones start to hit the angels who run away screaming.
The young guy
-Humpf! These idiotic pigeons must have nothing in their heads to do this! Do you think you can beat the great Zarco with stones?! I'm...

The spearhead falls through a portal, Zarco catches it in midair and extends it, lifting it with his right arm, then he places his left arm around his waist, striking a pose.
-INVINCIBLE!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Caelum was shocked by everything she saw and remained motionless. Her attention turned to the individual's wrist, and the bracelet he wore.
Caelum thought.
-A crystal?!
Leo thought
-It's not possible!
Zarco
-MWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!
Zarco is suddenly hit by a silver staff in the pit of his stomach.
Zarco simply reacts to the blow with a:
-UGH!
Leo then swings the staff hitting the back of Zarco's head and knocking him down.
Upon being knocked to the ground, Zarco released his grip on the spearhead and let it be thrown to the ground.
Leo slaps the staff on the fallen Zarco's back and speaks calmly and firmly to his men.
-What are you doing standing there? Quick, surround him!
Some soldiers leave Caelum to approach Zarco.
Caelum as she starts to get up (Thought)
-Now is my chance to get away!
She looks towards Zarco and sees him on the ground surrounded by spears.
Caelum thought
-Okay, bad, but he has that artifact! This will be nothing to him.
Zarco tries to reach the bracelet on his wrist with his left hand
Zarco
-AAARRRGGGHHH!!! - He screamed in pain.
Leo steps on Zarco's left hand
-Do not even try…
Leo says looking directly at the bracelet with curiosity
-So there are more than one crystal like this...
Caelum remembers herself screaming on the floor.
Caelum
-Damn it…
Her hand catches the spearhead from the ground. She runs and attacks Leo, piercing him in the chest.
Leo takes a step back and yells.
-CAELUM!!!
Leo tries to hit Caelum with the staff.
Caelum holds the staff in his hand.
Caelum
-Hold on Leo, you must lose... In the name of freedom.
Leo stares at Caelum with a look of pure hatred.
The soldiers shift their attention to Caelum who has passed them by.
Zarco opens a huge smile and jumps towards Caelum with his left hand on the bracelet on his wrist
Caelum is taken by surprise.
-AAAAHHHH!
While still smiling, he takes down Caelum, throwing her against a portal he just opened.

Leo backs away, frightened by it.
The soldiers advance with spears drawn and attacking.
The spears enter the portal just before it closes, cutting off three more spearheads.
Caelum and Zarco ended up falling into an empty place, a deserted alley.
Caelum on the ground begins to analyze her surroundings.
It was a dirty alley between two houses, not that far from the main square, but far enough.
Caelum
-What happened?!
Zarco
-I opened a portal to a random place I saw while falling, and here we are!
Caelum
-How?!
Zarco shaking his wrist with the crystal.
-With this crystal here, huh.
Caelum
-I can't believe it, so there is another crystal beside the Firmament? And it is in the possession of one of the inferior...
Zarco
-Inferior?
Caelum
-Yes, your people, right? Those born without wings.
Zarco
-I have no idea what you're talking about, but, you don't have wings either.
Caelum
-I have wings, they… I mean, I had, but they weren't able to make me fly.
Zarco
-Got it, they were screwed.
Caelum
-I prefer not to talk about it anymore...
Zarco
-Meh, the choice is yours, oh, and by the way... who are you and why the hell were those guys attacking me?!
Caelum
-I have the name Caelum Somnium Volare, and those were royal soldiers, under orders from Basilius Regis Salvatore, I presume.
Zarco
-I didn't understand even half a word… But, ok, you're Caelum and those are grunts sent from a certain Ba… Basi… Basilus…
Caelum
-Basilius.
Zarco
-Yeah, Basilus.
Caelum
-...
Zarco
-So, you don't want to know more about me? I came up with a hell of a backstory and stuff…
Caelum
-I certainly have many questions about your person, but they will have to wait until we are safe...
Zarco
-Ok then, what is the plan?
Caelum
-Plan?
Zarco
-Yeah, what are we going to do now?
Caelum
-We…
Caelum thought to herself
-Yeah, I need a plan… I'm really being chased now, I need to run away, but why? Do they really think I'm a traitor? Well, technically I just attacked the Regent General, so now I am indeed a traitor...
Zarco
-Hey! Hey! Back to reality!
Caelum
-Oh, excuse me... well, I live on a remote island, I got here with my mount, since we both can't fly, we'll need to get the rest of them to escape... If the guards haven't already captured it, he must still be on the edge of the capital, I need to get there.
Zarco
-Wait, how are horses going to cross islands?
Caelum
-Flying, of course.
Zarco
-Winged horses?! Does everything here have wings? All that's left is for them to call themselves pegasus!
Caelum
-Yes, this is the species name.
Zarco
-Creativity 10/10.
Caelum thought
-I don't understand half of what he says, what dialect is that?
Caelum
-Anyway, I need to get to my mount, go to the island, and return with my guardian and a pegasus for you, it will take a long time, plenty of time for me to be captured, so I'll need your help.
Zarco
-I hate escorting...
Caelum
-No, I'll need you to cause a distraction, but don't hurt anyone, got it?
Zarco
-I get it, I'm supposed to destroy the entire capital and kill everyone!
Caelum
-No, no! NOT! It's just to cause a distraction! Nobody needs to get hurt…
Zarco
- FILTHY CAPITAL OF DETESTABLE PEOPLE! GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO CHAOS, DESTRUCTION AND MASSACRE!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Caelum
-Hey, are you listening to me?
Zarco
-THIS WILL BE YOUR REWARD FOR MY PREVIOUS TREATMENT! THE CARNAGE!!!
Caelum
-What did I do…
Zarco
-Mwahahahagwha!
Caelum thought to herself
-He's an idiot, maybe even insane, but...
Caelum
-Are you really going to help me?
Zarco
-Mwaha! Hum, ah? Well, these people here are very aggressive and seem to kind of hate me, so I don't think I have much choice.
Zarco
-But! Now you don't have to worry anymore! With the great Zarco at your side, you can be sure! Everything will be fine.
Caelum looks at him a little in disbelief but then she smiles.
Caelum says softly almost as if saying it to herself.
-Good.
After she said that, Zarco noticed something, right behind her was a soldier with his sword raised, ready to execute the blow.
