It was as he thought. He had a free point he could spend on skills. He thought about what to spend it on. Powershot sounded nice, and would probably give him the ability to shoot a powerful shot.
Rapid shot would probably allow him to fire off multiple arrows quickly, it would be effective for shooting quick targets. Focus probably had the same effect, putting him in a heightened state of mind and allowing him to more easily hit a small target.
Currently, he wouldn’t be fighting anything that took more than a well placed arrow to kill. That’s why he didn’t go for powershot. And then it was left to, quality over quantity. Many badly shot arrows, or one well shot arrow. He decided to go with quality and picked Focus.
He expected some sort of light, or some sort of feeling. But there was nothing. He said “Focus,” in a joking matter but then he felt it. He could feel the wooden bow against his hands more clearly. His mind felt still, the wind slowed down. 5 seconds passed in this manner before the skill disappeared.
He said, “Focus,” again and a window appeared.
“5 minute cooldown on skill “Focus””
There was six days left for him to kill 10 goblins. Now It felt like an attainable goal.
Perhaps, it was time for him to start hunting bigger game. But he couldn’t just swap from the ravenous slimes to, goblins! That would be suicide. He needed to up it gradually and questing was a perfect way to do so.
He returned and sold the seven slime cores. Gaining 7 copper. He bought Shadow a nice slab of meat and Shadow devoured it. He felt that Shadow had gotten bigger, but his weight still felt the same.

Arne also had gotten better at avoiding Shadow’s bites, Shadow couldn’t bite him unless he caught him off guard. Arne carried Shadow, and they walked to the adventure guild together. There the clerk stood bored as always. The old healer sat on sipping on his drink, but there was somebody who knew.
He wore a dirty white shirt. Ripped cloth pants just like Arne’s. On his back was a roughed up iron sword.
Arne twinkle-toed up to the clerk and said the words he’d fantasized countless times. “I’ve come here to sign up as an adventurer.”
Martha took out a brick. “I knew you’d come today so I already prepared your tag.”
“Naturally you’ll start off a White tag and if you’re lucky you’ll be promoted to a Yellow tag.”*
“The quest board is over there. You can only accept one quest at a time.”
The boy they had never seen before chuckled, “You’re a white tag. Pathetic.”
Arne felt hurt by this and retorted, “yeah, what tag are you? “
“I’m a white tag.” The man said.
“What? How can you make fun of m…”
The boy interrupted. “Boring. Shut up, I won’t stay a white tag for long unlike you.”
“We’ll see about that!” Arne responded.
The boy continued sipping on his drink whilst Arne walked to the quest board. At the top right of the quest there was a colour for signifying what ranks could accept it. The highest quest here was a blue quest. There was only one blue quest.
There was four white quests. They were.
“Tier 1 skeletons sighted nearby.”
“”Find 20 HalslBerry”
“Help out with chopping wood.”
“Scout area in the woods.”
Arne decided to take the first quest for the sole reason, that it was the only combat related quest. He carefully took the quest of the board and then walked over to the clerk.

“I want to accep…”
“I want that quest.” The boy stood up.
“What?”
“I said I want that quest.” The boy walked up to Arne.
“But I took it first.”
“But I want it. Do you have a problem with that?” The boy asked Arne.
“Enough.” The clerk shouted. “If you both want the quest, then you’ll have to go on it together.”
“But I…”
“No buts. This is final. Here’s a map to the location.”
The map detailed the town and the forest around the town. There was a large X somewhere north west of the town. The boy grabbed the map and head out without saying anything, Arne chased after him. Shadow growled.
“Hey. Since we’re on this together what’s ur name?”
The boy answered, “You’re not worth knowing my name. Just don’t be in my way.”
“Why are you such a dick.”
“What did you say?” The boy said.
“Why are you such a dick?”
The boy got really close to Arne’s face. Arne could smell his breath, it smelled like a mixture of rotten tomato and dirt. His eyes stared into Arne filled with hatred. Arne stared back. The boy stood still for another three seconds but Arne didn’t relent.
“My name is Logan. Don’t ask anymore questions.” Logan said.
“Right.” Arne said.
Logan continued walking forward. He walked towards the road and Arne followed after. Shadow had quieted down and was simply hanging by Arne’s grip. Arne scratched Shadows ear as they walked.
Skeletons were more dangerous than slimes. The ones they would fight were the weakest possible type. These skeletons came with missing limbs and rarely did they have a weapon.
Killing skeletons was only possibly by destroying their core. The core is always located in the middle of their ribcage. No matter how many limbs they chop off, until the core is destroyed, the skeleton is alive.
Then they saw the first one. A short skeleton stumbled through the woods.

Transformers: Heroes
Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universe. A century ago, the eons-old war between the Autobots and the Decepticons suddenly and inexplicably came to an end. Since then, many have gone their separate ways, whilst others still hold onto the bitter memories of war. Now, as Autobots and Neutrals join forces in a new directive to capture every Decepticon still left alive, it appears that the Autobots will finally get their chance to even the score, and defeat their enemies once and for all. But when they become the target of seemingly random, yet terrifying attacks, some begin to realize that the enemy may be much closer to home than anyone could have ever imagined. Author's Notes: While it helps to have a little bit of prior knowledge about the world of Transformers, you don't need to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this story, or even a Decepticons fan! One thing I can say for sure is that it is unlike any Transformers fan fiction you've ever come across. This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed. I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading.

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!
