《Why do I have to be the SI?!》Chapter 4

Learning that I was in GATE was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it meant that unless I was in an AU(God please don’t let me be in an AU) I was pretty safe from magical threats on earth and wouldn’t have to worry about some mages coming to the U.S and beating my shit in. A curse because unless I wanted to try and carve out my Empire, and yes i'm creating an Empire after all, who the hell wouldn’t?
Anyways unless I wanted to try and carve my Empire out on earth I needed to get to the other side of the gate so I could create my Empire in comparative peace. Oh sure if it was up to me I would go to a virgin earth with a handful of people and start my conquest there but a fantasy world is the next best thing.
At least now that I know where I am I can plan a way to get my goals under way. So I got off my ass and started helping Hadrian load up the car for the next few hours as the essentials were loaded up first then the likes but don’t needs were loaded up and finally we were done with everything that needed to be done for the moment.
“My lord Someone is coming this way.” At his words I looked up from my phone and felt my heart drop. My ex had pulled up and was coming towards me with a look that could kill.
“Ashton what are you doing? And who the hell is this guy?” As she said that she looked over to Hadrian before looking back at me expectantly. At first I was slightly confused before it hit me. It's 2014 and we broke up in 2017. Fuck this ain’t good I hate her but unfortunatly for me 2014 me didn’t what an evil skank she was.

“Um.. Im jus-” Before I could continue she cut me off. “ Don’t um me Ashton you know it’s date night tonight and here I was coming to ask your were you want to go and I see you with you car full looking like your about to move, and not only thought you got some buff dude who called you fucking LORD as if your doing some roleplay shit and I have fucking had it!”
There was a moment of silence as I let that sit in before walking past her gesturing for Hadrian to get in the car as I hopped in, looked her dead in the eyes and flipped her the bird. After I did her mouth dropped open and I pulled the car out of the parking lot and drove off.
“My lord who was that?” I looked over at him as I thought of ways to respond, “Just someone that I hope to never see again.”
He looked thoughtful for a second before responding, “Should I get rid of her, my lord?” I shook my head with a slight smile on my face. “No my friend that won’t be necessary for now.”
For the next two days I drove to california while every once and a while taking a quick nap break to recharge my batteries. Finally after over 48 hours on the road we pulled into the LA city limits. Of course two-hundred dollars isn’t near enough to do pretty much anything in LA.
So on one of our little breaks we stopped by a small gas station in the middle of nowhere with an obviously bored cashier. I walked in as calmly as I could along with Hadrian. If your wondering by the way I told him the plan we would go in he would sit by the door waiting for me to give the signal.

Anyways I grabbed a small bag of cheetos and walked up to the regristor and asked a simple question. “So you seem pretty bored, how would you like some excitement?” As soon as I said that Hadrian brought out his rifle and aimed it at the kid who could have been no more than seventeen.
“Ok here's how it’s gonna go you're going to open the regristor and put all the money in there into the bag, then my friend here is going to go in the back with you to get the money out of the safe, understand?” He started rapidly nodding his head as he stuffed the money into the bag.
Then he and Hadrian went into the back room and got the managers safe and he carried it to the car while Hadrian had the gun to his back. While they were doing that I counted about five-hundred dollars in total from the regristor.
I went outside right as the kid dropped the safe onto the floor of the drivers side seat. I nodded and turned to them both. “Hadrian take his phone and knock him out” Of course he started begging and pleading, acting like I had just ordered his death before his Hadrian hit the back of his head and he dropped to the ground.
Hadrian quickly looted his pockets before tossing me his phone, and we drove off. About three miles away from the store I turned off the road and used a bit of magic to open the safe and grab the four-thousand dollars out of the safe.
“My lord won’t the local Authorities go looking for us? I did see primitive camera’s in the store.” I waved him off as I responded. “No, I used some magic to make sure the camera’s malfunctioned as soon as we pulled up to the store.” He nodded looking slightly relieved.
“Anyways I want you to play lookout while I work. I'm about to start a ritual and I don’t want to be interrupted while i'm doing something so sensitive.” He nodded once before turning and scanning the horizon.
I breathed deep as I started gathering up all the materials in my car and set them up close to each other. It took another hour of time to get it all out and dispel the shrinking magic he put on a lot of the stuff before finally puting the store safe on top.
Then I started gathering the magic from within myself as well as much of the local mana in the area as I could. Then I started casting.
