《A human's tale》Life at the Tiger Martial arts school

Year 410.
It had been a few years since Anurag had transmigrated to the world of Dragon Ball Z. Thus, he had long adapted to the customs of this world. At first, he just wanted to live a normal life. But after experiencing this world for a few years, he decided to follow the path of martial arts. There was no normal life for him with all the knowledge he had. If he did live a simple life, he would be going against his deeply rooted desire of gaining superhuman strength. Since he had already decided his path. He wanted to be the best at it.
He started training at the age of 2. It was nothing fancy. He did try to increase his endurance and flexibility. He also tried to sense ki but it was an unfruitful endeavor. Despite his failure, he meditated for 1 hour every day. When he was 4 years old. His father started to teach him the basic stances of Tiger school. His father was a disciple of Tiger school previously and an instructor at tiger school currently. So, they lived in the vicinity of the tiger school of martial arts. There was a town nearby where his mother had her Tailors shop. So, he spent most of his days in the shop until he was 4.
After his father started teaching him martial arts, he mostly stayed home and trained with his father. His father, Ray, had asked for 2 years of absence from Tiger school to teach his son personally. Since Anurag was an adult stuck in a child's body, he picked up Tiger-style basics pretty quickly. His father had deemed him a prodigy. Two years passed in a blink of an eye and he had become unimaginably adept at martial arts compared to any other 6-year-old. Heck, even a normal 15-year-old might not have been his match.

Tiger school would accept 5 disciples every year. Only 5 talented 6-year-olds would be accepted as disciples. Naturally, He had been accepted easily. Once you finished your 10-year-long discipleship. One would have to work 15 years for the Tiger school. After that you would be free to go anywhere you wanted or you had a choice to continue working for Tiger School. His father was one of those who stayed.
Once his discipleship started, the intensity of the training gradually increased. To recover faster, the school would provide them with a medicinal bath once a week. However, Ray would collect herbs personally for him. So, he could take a medicinal bath daily. Even if Ray was absent because of his missions. They were quite a wealthy family with a bit of saving as well which helped him use medicinal baths daily.
Rayhan started to work in field labor after the age of 8. That also made him some money which aided him in using recovery medicines. During this day and age, child labor was not frowned upon rather it was appreciated. Naturally, his parents were happy that their son had the drive to work. The labor work became a perfect additional training for him.
When Rayhan reached 12 years old, he was able to go toe-to-toe with most senior disciples of his. It attracted the ire of many but they didn't act on it because his father was a long-time instructor by now and was one of the stronger instructors. However, There were those as well who admired his talent. Tiger Hermit was one of them. Due to his hard work and talent, Tiger Hermit had thought of making Rayhan his last disciple.
One day, Tiger Hermit called him.
Tiger hermit was an old man with a robust body and he had an oppressive aura. When Rayhan walked in, Tiger hermit was reading a book.

"Greetings, Master Tiger" Rayhan bowed at his waist.
"Hmm. Do you know what ki is?" Tiger hermit asked. He didn't say anything else and directly started with a question.
"It is an organism's life force energy." Rayhan gave a short and to-the-point answer.
"Good. Good." He said two times and asked, "12-year-olds are not supposed to know about this. My chance of seeing an amazed expression on your face has gone down the drain. How did you know about ki?"
Contrary to his stern face, It seemed to Rayhan that Tiger Hermit was a rather candid person.
"I read a lot of books and in such storybooks, ki is supposed to be life force energy." He replied again curtly
"You are correct. I am going to teach you personally from today onwards. You should call me master from now on." Tiger hermit said.
"Master, I understand." He said.
From then on Master Tiger started to pass on his knowledge to Rayhan. Rayhan had already sensed his ki within his body a few months ago. When his master heard that he had sensed ki, his master was in disbelief for quite a long time.
Only being able to sense ki didn't aid in increment of his martial prowess. So, his master made him consciously utilize his ki within his body. The first application of ki was to move ki within the body to increase the destructive or defensive ability. For example, while punching you can move ki to hands which will increase the destructive power. While receiving a punch, you can move your ki to the place where the punch is being connected to reduce the damage. After a long practice, you would be able to use ki instinctively.
Rayhan was able to reach this step after constantly being guided by Master Tiger for 4 years. By this point, his discipleship had ended.
Since he was Tiger Hermit's disciple, He did not have to start working for the school right after finishing his apprenticeship. He had a lot of leeways. However, his moral responsibility towards Tiger martial arts school was greater than normal disciples.
After the 10-year-long period ended, his master sent him on a journey to experience the world for a year.
In his mind, He had already decided his destination. It was Karin's Tower.
Before starting his journey to Karin's sacred land, He wanted to be able to externalize his ki. He was on the verge of breaking through. So, He requested his master to stay until he had externalized his ki. His master didn't fuss much about it and permitted him. The Tiger hermit was anticipating his disciple's progress. He didn't want to wait a whole year to see his disciple being able to externalize ki. So, when Rayhan had said that he was about to break through soon, Tiger hermit had retracted his orders and easily accepted Rayhan's request.
Rayhan trained rigorously during this time. One month later, Rayhan was able to bring out a pale glow from his hands. His master was far more excited than himself. Tiger Hermit wanted to show off his disciple to his old rivals. He had already thought of going on a dojo challenge rampage after a few years. Various scenes of humiliating his rivals were being played in his mind.
After a few days, Rayhan collected a map of nearby terrain from the nearby town. He said his goodbyes to his parents, and his few acquaintances and went on his journey to the west.

AN: This story is an attempt to overcome insecurity regarding the quality of my writing by practicing with intentional schlock. "Just write," as the advice goes. While it may not be masterfully plotted, the subject matter is one close to my heart and one that I endeavor to explore in a new light.
