Year 445.
Two years had flown in a blink of an eye. Rayhan's power level had drastically grown over the last 2 years and reached 315. He had left Mutaito in the dust. Training weights had done wonders for him. But after reaching 315, the training weight did not help him much. His improvement had become stagnant. Annin had reached 160 and she had become even more beautiful. His father despite being old was adamant about practicing martial arts.
He specifically trained 'Demon killing fist'. He had nearly perfectly mastered the martial art. Now the pale glow had become pale to the point of invisibility and occasional electric sparks could be seen in his father's body while executing the technique. What came as a pleasant surprise was that after using 'Demon killing fist', his father's battle power spiked up by 1.25 times, and his speed increased by 1.5 times.
It was similar to Roshi's power up in a sense. His father's battle power had reached 200 due to training using weighted clothes. So, he had become a pretty decent sparring partner for Rayhan. His mother was still nagging him about a grandchild. Fanfan had grown to look like an extremely hot but younger kind of MILF. Although, Fanfan had learned martial arts for the last 18 years and she was quite hardworking as well but she had barely made it to 60. His mother's power level was even lower than that. It was 40 although she had been training for the last 50 years.
To be fair, She had not trained much. When she was little she had dabbled in martial arts and after meeting his father, she had focused on tailoring for most of her life. She would just do the bare minimum because It had been ingrained in her bones because of her martial arts lineage. In her words: "It is not that I want to practice martial arts but I feel uncomfortable the whole day if I don't do my regular exercises." Even after coming to the valley, she had not increased her training time. She would rather plant herbs and see to them.

It was a peaceful and tranquil life for them.
One day, He told his parents about the Fountain of youth, and paradise herb but his mother just wanted to live a normal life and didn't want anything to do with immortality and such. When Rayhan tried to convince her, His mother scolded him by saying that he was unfilial and had not given them a grandchild. As for his father, he was a bit hesitant but seeing his wife's adamant behavior, he also gave up.
Rayhan got a headache. His father would probably live to the ripe old age of 140 whereas his mother would barely make it to 100. He didn't want the two of them to be separated for a long time. By the time of their departure, he was going to find a way to let them have a body in the afterlife. Although his father had done great merit for humanity during the battle against demons, it would not warrant him a body in the afterlife. So, during the last 4 years, he had occasionally gone out to the world to accumulate some virtue by helping humanity.
One day, He got a wicked idea. He blackmailed her mother if she did not raise her power level to at least 100. He would not father a child. His mother was furious at him but she was also helpless. So, she slowly started training with training weights. Although the monkey wine produced by the indigenous monkeys was not effective for people who had higher power, it helped his mother and Fanfan. He specifically ordered Fanfan to start training with weighted clothes. Although, he had treated her as his cum dump. After living together for the last 2 years, he was a bit attached to her as well.
He set out for Karin's tower for some answers.
"Yo! Long time no see. Immortal Karin." Rayhan said.
"Haha brat, I hope you have fish in the sack," Karin said as he walked towards the sack. He opened the sack and was delighted.

"Haha. Immortal Karin, I have a few questions that I would like to get answered." Rayhan said.
"Go ahead." Karin gestured with his claws.
"Can you tell me the location of the fountain of youth and paradise grass?" He asked.
"I think I will need more fish for that" Karin replied.
"Okay. Okay. I will get you more." He said impatiently.
"Hmm let me think. There is only one place where you can find the fountain of youth. It lies in a place called Death abyss. It lies in a dimension between the world of the living and the afterlife." Karin explained.
Rayhan was not surprised as he knew the existence of the afterlife world. "What about the paradise grass?"
"There are two places that contain paradise herb. One is the forest of darkness. I suggest you not go there. Another is the forest of light. Both of them are in a dimension between the afterlife world and the world of the living." Karin informed.
"Why are all these things in these weird dimensions?" Rayhan asked.
"I have no definitive answer but I have a conjecture. I think some deities are giving mortals a fair chance to gain a longer life. Each of these places has its tests. The fountain of youth and The forest of light each have a guardian beast. Only by going past them can one get paradise grass or the water from the fountain of youth. As for the forest of darkness, you should have a strong mind or you won't even be able to leave that place." Karin said his part.
"How strong are the guardian beasts?" Rayhan asked.
"Hehe. Why don't you bring more fish here first? Then we will talk." Karin said looking at his paws.
"Okay. Okay. I will bring you a lot before I leave." Rayhan said.
"Haha. Okay. I will tell you. The guardian beast at Fountain of youth should be slightly stronger than the Monkey Hermit." He said and continued, "As for the beast that guards the paradise herb. It is much stronger than Monkey hermit. I suggest you not go to the forest of light. Escaping might become a problem if you are not careful."
"Last question, Can you tell me the procedure to drink or eat them?" he asked him a final question.
"Hmm. The first gulp will slow down your aging process by 5 times. The second gulp will make your appearance younger by 10 years. The third gulp will make your appearance younger by 7.5 years. The fourth will decrease it by 5 and so on. Well, that is what my master told me. By the way, one gulp roughly equates to 50 ml." He said and with a thoughtful expression, he continued, "I have eaten the paradise herb. So, I am certain that 1 stalk can grant you a lifespan of 1000 years. If you eat more, it won't increase your lifespan but it will provide some temporary vitality. It can be beneficial while practicing martial arts."
"Hey, Korinn if you need some of that water and paradise grass, I can bring you some." Rayhan offered.
"Hehe. I don't need the water but paradise grass will be useful to me. I might advance my martial arts with its help." Karin said.
After that Rayhan flew off the tower and brought Karin a lot of fish.

Manifesto
Sometimes, even the most outright affront to liberty seems to be justified under certain contexts. Or maybe I should stop reading about Stalin, I think it's affecting me.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
