《A human's tale》Plant monster

Year 448.
Rayhan was standing in front of an ancient tree. There was a hole in the tree which was big enough for him to enter. He had already prepared everything. So, he stepped inside. He directly started falling downwards. After falling 20 meters, he landed and there was a different world here. Suddenly, a whip shot at him. He did not have time to access the enemy's battle power and he dodged with all his might. When he had successfully dodged one whip, another was already coming in his direction. This time he saw that it was a green vine. He dodged again and again as the vines kept coming. He slightly regretted not bringing any sword or not learning any fire-type magic or something similar. Brute force was the worst weapon against a plant-type beast.
Karin could probably get the paradise grass easily because he was good at dodging and he was a small target as well. So, he had classified this monster as only much stronger. But he had not mentioned anything about it being a plant monster and difficult to handle without a sharp weapon.
After a few minutes of adapting to the dodging rhythm, he sense the opponent's power level and it was around 360 while he was nearing 355. He started to counterattack. He started to punch the vines. This was an extremely inefficient way to fight against such a monster but this was the only way Rayhan could think of at this moment. He was going to make it a battle of attrition.
30 minutes later, his shoulder had been pierced by the vine but taking this chance he had torn that vine with bare hands.
15 minutes later, he was on the verge of death because of being whipped around. So, took a Senju bean and ate it.
He battled the plant monster for another hour before nearing death and ate another Senju bean.

After that, the plant monster started becoming slower. Rayhan tore its vine one by one. Finally, after another hour of intense struggle and eating one last Senju bean Rayhan was able to outclass the weakened monster and repeatedly struck its core area until he felt the opponent's ki disappear.
Rayhan sighed in relief and regretted not bringing a sword. He had decided to create a move that would be able to cut. Rather than learning a sword, he had decided to make his hands swords.
After that, he picked up three sacks of paradise herb and flew away.
As he reached his home, he stored the grass in the freezer and ate one stalk of the grass. He slowly felt that his body had changed fundamentally. He felt elevation in existence level. It was not an increment in power but he felt like he had transcended from being mortal to immortal.
Next, he went to Annin and gave her one stalk, and next, he gave it to Fanfan both of them said that they felt the same feeling.
He ate another stalk and felt his vitality slightly surge. Then he started training. He asked Annin to make heavier clothes and even a helmet so he could train to the fullest. He also asked her to make a heavy barbell. Due to the fight with the plant monster, he could feel that there would be some progress in the upcoming days. So, he capitalized on the moment with the help of paradise grass and heavier training weights.
Fanfan's power level had just reached 150. So, he urged her to train using the paradise grass.
Naturally, her progress had accelerated and she made it to 180 by the next year.
As for himself, he had elevated himself to 365 with the help of paradise grass. After reaching Rayhans level, it was rather difficult to make progress even by 5 power levels. He had finally understood the woes of humans among Z fighters.

His next motivation was naturally King Piccolo. But since Piccolo would come into existence in the next 15-20 years. So, he had a lot of time. Piccolo was just a way to collect the merit of saving the world. If his guess was correct Piccolo should have around a power level nearing 400. He didn't have a perfect memory, so he could not recall small details but he was planning to exceed 400 in the next 15 years at the very least. Even if he did not reach that point, he could use the 'demon-killing fist' temporarily and finish him with his multiplied power. However, he wanted to finish him own his own. This had become his motivation to elevate himself to a higher level.
He had delivered half a sack of grass to Karin as well. Karin was incredibly thankful for this.
5 years later, he had finally impregnated Fanfan because she had crossed the threshold of 250 and he had deemed it good enough to bear his child.
Soon he visited Karin again because he needed some answers.
After greeting and chatting with Karin for a while, Rayhan came to the point and asked, "Immortal Karin, I have come to ask for 2 things. First. Is there anything in this world that might help me become stronger?"
"Stop calling me Immortal. I am just as mortal as you. We have both eaten paradise grass, haven't we? And to answer your question: No. There are not many options left for you. If you keep doing good things for humanity perhaps Kami might consider letting you train on the lookout. That's one option" Karin said.
"Big brother Karin, Can't you think of anything else?" He immediately changed his addressing style and asked.
"I have a way to train your ki control. It is my new invention, ya see. Wanna try?" Karin asked.
"My ki control is rather good. I don't need it now. Maybe someday when I am unable to restrain my ki within my body." Rayhan said.
"Rayhan, Don't be so smug about it. Can you fly without making fluctuation? If you can't then you are still lacking. And Why do you want to be stronger than this?" Karin asked.
"What if the demons invade? The strong ones." He replied.
"Fair enough. Okay. You have 2 options still left I think. The first is to train using my method. It will better your combat strength by at least 10%." Karin said when he was interrupted by Rayhan.
"10%!" He said in disbelief.
"Hehe, wait till the training starts. You will know." He gave a cheeky and continued, "As for another solution, every human has certain talent in martial arts. Nobody exactly knows what that talent is. But people with better talent train faster. So, you need to increase your talent."
"That should not be possible, right?" Rayhan asked.
"I am not entirely sure. Nobody has done it. I heard this some 500 years ago. Even then it was just a myth. But you can give it a try." Karin said.
"So, how do I do it?" Rayhan asked with a voice filled with curiosity.
"Oh, you need to drink phoenixes tear" Karin answered.
"Phoenixes don't exist, do they?" Rayhan said but he remember that Roshi had claimed to have had one in dragon ball.
"Of course they do exits. I have met one personally as well." Karin said smugly.
"Where do I find this phoenix?" Rayhan asked.

Hero:Generation
UPDATES WEEKLY The world of Hero: Generation diverges from our own in the 1970s on a night known as “The Aurora Event”. Beautiful and luminescent weather phenomena covered the planet, for ten short minutes every corner of the Earth was underneath a cascade of lights in the sky. It was days later before reports began to filter in, more than could be suppressed by Governments and Nations. The Alphas had arrived. A small percent of the global population began to exhibit otherworldly and super natural abilities, changing the course of humanity. The Vietnam Occupation ended over night, as each ruling nation took action to respond. In the coming years Alphas would begin to change the globe. Russia eventually became an Alpha nation ruled by a mysterious figure only known as Father Winter. America, Europe, and Australia become even larger superpowers as their Alpha populations exploded, in time a United Nations force known as The Guardians was established to police and document the Alpha emergence. The worlds foremost expert in Alpha studies, Dr. Pavel Laghari invented a system known as the Laghari Scale, that scored Alphas on a scale of 1 to 10 across a wide array of parameters ranging from relative physical abilities to other parameters. Now, in most civilized countries Alphas are required to be assessed the moment their powers manifest, or be in strict violation of local and international laws. In this Age of Heroes , The Guardians have designed a new Initiative to recruit younger Alphas and set them on a path to greatness. Every year teenage Alpha’s from all over the globe flock to secure locations to take part in the Guardians crucible. Many will enter, but few will earn the right to call themselves a Guardian.

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
