《Moonlight Sword Sect》Four Guardians, Hidden Passageway, And The Hidden Temple (2/6)

"Xiare? Xiare?" Eumi looks at me. She was worried that I was consumed by an evil being or something.
"Ah!" I replied as if I had a Eureka. After a couple of realizations dawning upon me, I felt that this world became much bigger than before. It was as if...
I have been enlightened. I am…
A true intellectual.
Nah, just kidding. Haha…
Although I do want to become a true intellectual.
I returned back from reality after thinking such thoughts. Why am I so dumb? How could I not notice it before?!
Am I really been a stupid frog inside a small well? Really, that's not true, isn't it?
I look at Eumi's eyes. Eumi, in turn, smiles at me with her eyes closed. Her smile was a genuine one.
Her face such cute. Cute enough to melt away the coldest of hearts in the entire world. She was like a cute cat that has been freed away from such burdens.
As I see her smiling at me, I too smile at her.
Wait… why am I smiling at her in the first place?
F*ck! The power of a god*amn cheat character! That smile! It's like a virus!
Suddenly, I end my smile and began praying like a monk.
"Evil shall not touch me. Evil shall not touch me…." Murmuring, I chant my personal scripture to let the evil stay away from me. F*ck! This lady is more than a side character! I do not want these evils to prevent me from being an average idiot!
I also do not want to be infected with your stupidity virus! I already have plenty of those under my body!
As I murmur my chant, I hear Eumi murmuring, "Weird" under her breath while softly laughing as she covers her mouth with her hand. You're the one weird here!
While Eumi and I do our business of her scouting the temple and me praying, the scary giant suddenly stops walking, implying that we are already at our destination.
The scary giant prepares its hand to let us step down to the snow. Yep, we are already at the western temple.
However, because I was praying, I did not move an inch. Eumi, on the other hand, looks at me before bowing at the scary giant. She then steps to the snow before going to the temple.
After leaving the two of us in the middle of a forest, the scary giant looks at me. This lady is praying so no more staring competition right now.
Like a book, the scary giant continues to stare at me as if it was studying me. Soon, the scary giant copies my posture as it sits down on the ground and began sitting like a lotus.
After sitting, the scary giant uses its two upper hands to mimic my hands praying. The scary giant then began meditating as if it was a very old man.
But really, why do I feel like the scary giant always copy my movements? Weird.
Well, might as well copy the scary giant's meditating posture.
I changed from praying to copying the scary giant's meditation. From breathing to soaking oneself up to the cold Qi around us, I copied it all. Haha

As I copy its set of movements, the scary giant, despite not looking at me, notices me copying its move. It was not angry but instead, wants me to even teach something.
However, because of the language barrier, it could only teach me using body language.
Truly, barrier languages suck right?
As the scary giant changes its rhythm of breathing, so do I change my breathing and copy its new pattern.
Inside my body, I felt my Qi being cleansed over and over again. Suddenly, I urge myself vomiting. I tried to swallow it back but I couldn't. It was as if it's inevitable for me to swallow back.
Quickly, I leap away from the scary giant's palm and went to a nearby tree to puke. Why am I feeling this?
"Bleeeeh.." I puked. As I puke to a nearby tree, I look at me puke. It was a dark blood. Like an oil, it was so dense that they did not break out and spread after falling from the ground. Instead, they just remained there, waiting to be evaporated or be frozen by the cold winds.
"Black blood? I have not been poisoned am I?" I thought inside my head.
I look back and turn my head to the scary giant looking at me while its upper hands were praying. It was not laughing. Also, its lower palm was still open, meaning that it wants me to continue copying it as I practice its meditation.
I bow in front of the strange giant before going back to its palm. The deva nods back at me and lowers it palm for me to quickly step on it and sit down as I practice.
Once again, I return back and sit like a lotus in front of the scary giant. As I prepare myself diving from meditation once again, the scary giant once again changes its rhythm.
As I had no choice but to adapt, I also changed my rhythm, copying the scary giant's rhythm.
Quickly, the cold Qi enters my body once again and purifies everything inside me. Although I do find it itchy and strange, I decided not to scratch it as I might injure myself from suddenly stopping it.
In and out, the cold Qi surrounds my body. It was like a ghost clinging onto me. Without saying anything, the cold Qi outside me enters my body as the cold Qi within me exits my body.
There was a trace of black blood in the air I exhaled. It seems that the cold Qi that purified my body earlier carries my impurities earlier as it goes further away into the air huh…
Silently, both I and the scary giant meditate against one another. Me copying it and it teaching me some weird kinds of stuff. It was as if I was being taught by a real master.
I was in the state of nirvana, with pure bliss and ignorance as I continue expelling out the impurities out from my body and continue inhaling the cold Qi around me. It was like a constant cycle of rebirth.

Subconsciously, as the scary giant changes its pattern of breathing, I too change my breathing without looking at it. It was as if I was going with the flow of the air.
As I change my pattern of breathing, I suddenly think of a narrow silver river in my head. It was a narrow river with calm waters going with the flow.
However, suddenly, a large stream of water flowed onto the river, making the river completely filled with silver waters roaring to go to the ends of the river.
While I was thinking about it, my heart suddenly pounds hard as I finally notice what's going on. I can't breathe. I can't breathe! Help!
I tried to calm myself down. If I stop meditating and interrupt it, I will be harmed by the cold Qi both inside and outside my body, making me a cripple.
Silently, I took a small breathing from time to time. Although it was a small breathing, at the very least, I can now breathe.
Once again, I suddenly think of the same river from earlier. Despite being completely filled with roaring waters flowing onto it, the ends of the river did not collapse and instead, it expands slowly and slowly.
After seeing it expanding, I decided to watch it until it fully expands. It was not expanding because of the sudden burst of water flowing into it. It was expanding because it was trying to adapt to the changes.
Under my body, I felt relieved as the river is wide enough to let the silver roaring water flow onto the ends of the river.
After a while, I finally end myself meditating. I open my eyes again, revealing the scary giant looking at me.
It was not meditating anymore but instead, it was just simply looking at me as if it was amazed at me. Eh? What did I do?
I look at my body and clothes. It's still there and nothing changed right? Did something happen earlier?
Why are you looking at me with amazement scary giant? Am I really that weird?
"Amazing. Someone just tried and passed the blue moon breathing in just one try. Truly amazing." Someone said to me. It was the voice of a man
I turn my head to the direction of the voice. Instead of seeing the speaker, I saw a tree instead. Eh? Where is he?
"Look up." The voice once again spoke to me.
As I was looking at the tree, I look up, revealing a masked man with multiple katanas on his back. He was simply sitting on a branch of a tree, waiting for me to look at him.
"Who are you?" I said back to the man.
"Just a mere sword summoner." The man said, shrugging at me. Although he's like some sort of an ignorant, judging from his words, I think he's saying the truth.
After shrugging at me, the man stands up and descends to the tree by jumping. He then slowly walk in front of me as he said, "Do you know how dangerous that breathing is?" As he smiles at me with a smirk.
"No, I'm truly sorry for not knowing." I said back to the man before me. Well, how could I know what the scary giant is teaching me?! I'm just a normal cultivator with only one language okay?
The man looks at the scary giant before continuing his words, "The breathing you just learned is called「Breathing of the Moon Goddess.」 Just like its name, it's only suitable for higher realm beings like gods and such. If a lower realm cultivator or a mortal being decides to learn it, that cultivator or being will die in an instant she or he practices that kind of breathing."
Suddenly, I had a chill as I learn about the breathing pattern the scary giant taught me.
I look at the scary giant. The scary giant also looks at me. Err…. should I say some bad things about it?
"Hahaha… there's no need to be angry at the deva miss. In fact, you should be grateful." The man leaps up to the scary giant's palm before continuing, "You see, these kind of devas are pure in nature. Though they might look as scary as a demon, they do not harm anyone."
"Uhh…." I did not speak. Why is there a man in here to be exact?
The man lies down in front of me before saying, "This deva in front of you is teaching what's the best breathing pattern for you. Though you may be angry at it because it gave you a dangerous breathing pattern, this deva knows what it is doing."
"Xiare! Xiare!" I hear Eumi's voice. I look at Eumi from behind. It seems she was running towards here.
"I found the 「Sword Summoner」 but he ran away!" Eumi shouted at me.
Wait… 「Sword Summoner?」
Slowly, I look behind and saw the man smiling at me. Hey! You're the 「Sword Summoner」 Eumi's been talking about!
"Aren't you supposed to be a statue?" I said back to the Sword Summoner lying in front of me. Are you really that lax?
"What?" The Sword Summoner was shocked upon hearing my words. What?
"You're a statue right?" I said to the Sword Summoner, trying to pressure him that he's a statue.
The Sword Summoner calms himself down as he spoke, "Ehem, It looks like you have met the others already huh. Although the guardians of each temple are covered with stone, that does not mean that we're statues miss."
Eh? What do you mean "we're not statues?"
Just as I was going to say these words, the Sword Summoner interrupted me, saying, "We are real people, serving the Moonlight Sword Sect to protect the seal from each temple in case the Moon Goddess of this world tries to break the seal of each temple to go to the other side."

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.

But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment.
