"Hmm, now that I'm farming xp. I should be able to get rid of these trashy stats soon. For right now though, I'm fast enough to circle the kolbolts without much danger. So let's just add my stats into strength. That way I can farm faster."
After added both of the stat points into strength. Alex paid attention to nothing else other than ranking up.
Slowly but surely one after another kolbolts fell by Alex's hand. Although after every two kolbolts Alex killed he had too wait for them to respawn. Which wasted precious time.
Alex didn't however waste this time idling. In fact, other than planning out the future in his head and talking to himself. He was striking the air over and over using skills [Chop],[Backslash] all awhile in [Stealth].
Although this method didn't rapidly increase the skill proficiency of each skill they were increasing. Which was better than nothing. Of course nobody tended to use this method of raising skill level because it took way too long but Alex was different.
Why?
He's a total busy body.

After around 4 and a half hours. Alex was pulled out of his trance of grinding from a notification from the in game system.
[You have Levelled up!]
What level is he now, you might ask. Well.

"Level 9 huh, well that really was effective. After adding my stats into strength by the time it reached level 7 . I could kill a kolbolt every time entered the smoke."
"The only problem now is my mana poll. I need to increase it if I want to increase the intensity of my hunting. Especially since I need to come up with over a 100k's worth of XP."
"I guess though that I'm doing ok for myself. Nobody has yet to hit LvL 10. Since the servers would have made a World Announcement but it won't be long until the pro players and nerds who farm all day long close in on it."
"Though, I can rest a little as there shouldn't be anyone a LvL 9 yet."
"Anyways, lets add the two stat points into intelligence for an increase in mana and get on with the grinding."
.
.
-Shadow Guild-
Meanwhile Alex was grinding. Two women, one dressed in black and red fiery robes and the other dressed in clean white and ocean blue robes where cleaning up on monsters.
"Listen up everyone. Our Shadow Guild will be the first to reach LvL 10. We have been working hard for this so lets keep it up. two more levels and were done."

"You heard the boss, everyone go find a mob and draw it close to Scarlet and Rose." One of the Shadow Guild lackeys announced.
Both women were closing in on LvL 9 and although they had been sharing some XP along the way. They were still around 20000 away from their target.
Scarlet and Rose were sisters in real life. Rose being the older one out of the two. She was a calm person in general. A stark contrast to her sister who was known for being slightly crazy and had a fiery personality.
They both had come from playing the last hit game 'Dungeons Online'. After having caused a storm in game and having gained a reputation for being fierce yet smart. The sister duo was undeniably a strong contender for rising to the top of the guild rankings in The World Of Divinity.
They were naturally ambitious people and they believed if they started off right, it'd only be a matter of time before they reached their goal and surpassed it.
"Rose, let's move deeper into the forest these Brown Bears aren't challenging enough anymore. We have to farm something of higher level."
"Agreed, let's try and find the forest's boss and take it down. That should reward us with some extra XP for a first time boss kill."
Little did they know that Alex had of course killed the creak's boss and they had actually been bidding on the loot that was received from killing it not only half a day ago.
.
.
-BlueMoon Guild-
Not too far away from Red Leaf Town, the players from BlueMoon Guild were currently using all of their resources to farm a LvL 5 dungeon on repeat. The [Ice Queens Lair].
"Hahaha, thankfully we managed to buy up all of those mana and health potions from the stall in town. Otherwise, this opportunity would have never had gone to us."
"Yeah, now that I think about it. If we had actually took place in the bidding of that rare item and managed to get it we'd never have been able to grasp this chance."
"Right, right. What's the point in just one person getting LvL 10 if your guild is weak. This way all of our elites can reach it. I bet after we reach level 8 and add our stats into strength. The dam pesky spiders will get one banged."
"Look there's that troublesome Ice Queen Spider again."
"Elites of BlueMoon. Charge!"
"FOR BLUEMOON!"
"FOR BLUEMOON!"
.
.
-Ares Guild-
"Boss, we have brought over a fresh horde of undead monsters just like you asked."
"Thank you, you've worked hard. Don't worry when I reached Level 10 and once I level up again. I will take all of you guys to the big cities."
"Oh and don't worry about being paid. If I get first placement. I'll double everyone's pay."
This arrogant and self centred guy was of course Hunter.
Hunter was the young master of CEO of Health Tech. They manufactured and distributed Smart watches. Used in every day to day life. They were without a doubt filthy rich.
Hunter being a young master, had everything at his disposal. Yet, instead of faulting his wealth publically by throwing huge parties like many others would. He instead spent his wealth on the gaming industry.
Hiring the best players to help him level up. The best Guild management. The whole shibang. He loved the feeling of making his name spread far and wide and the feeling of being superior and being looked up to like a god.
If he could get the first World Announcement like in many other games.
Well the word 'happy' would be a poor way of expressing his feelings.

Life, the struggle for existence
What would happen when man had to, once again, fight for its own right to live? Would the evolutionary counterparts of our ancestors manage to life through the struggle for survival? What would happen to society if a new reason for living came up, other than the enjoyment of the well-built environment? A reason that could either unite or destroy humanity. This is the struggle for their right of existence. As earth and its inhabitants are faced with the fear of unknown danger and the peril of monstrosities, some will falter, some will die and some will live on to tell the tales of those forgotten. As reality dictates, most will be part of the first two groups and only a small faction will be part of the latter. *This is my first attempt at writing fantasy, so I do hope you’ll enjoy it. The story is one of apocalyptic nature, with gigantic monsters, unfathomable powers and also a critial view on humanity and what it means to be human. I will definitely try to stay away from any tropes that are not neccesary to write fantasy, as I thoroughly despise non-creativity. There shall be no harems, no unrealistic behavior and absolutely no standard scene of dimwitted bandits that try to rob whatever similarly rock-brained princess they encounter. The main character is not black and white, because no human is completely good or completely evil. They’re human, not some idealistic concept of what one is supposed to be. Enjoy!Warning: Tagged 17+ for the occasional strong language and violence, some mild sexual content can occur in the distant future.

The FINAL Dungeon
A "young" unnamed gem, one blessed with the sentience required to regulate the world's mana, is suddenly thrust into the limelight when every other Dungeon is destroyed. Will its empowered abilities and wits be enough to survive a hostile world...? The Elder Goddess of Magic, Mystiq, is caught off-guard when an upstart New God decides he might be better for the job. With the destruction of much of her work, Mystiq is the weakest she has been in eons. Not all is lost, but if what is left cannot rise to the occasion... It might as well be. The Final Dungeon and its crippled Mother are forced to fight for their lives against a revolting pantheon, unhinged zealots, and the occasional adventurer. Do they even stand a chance? Would they… if they had a few extra chances…? ~ I've been on this site for a couple years now, and have wanted to get into some real writing for a while. Hopefully this goes alright. Time to stop dreaming, and time to start doing. ~

A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
