Chapter 4 Detective Oolong Kim
Author’s POV (Point Of View):
“Bye-bye little girl.” [Vanish!] Tainted Scorpion dashed her golden mien outside Megan Pop's horrific dojo then quickly vanished her presence from the premises. The only surviving member in the mansion was the rebellious little girl.
“WAAH! WAAH!” The little girl started crying her eyes out, especially when she saw that Mega Pop’s huge body was missing its head.
“No! Papa! Papa!” She frantically dashed her way through the thick puddle of blood until she was caressing her father’s defiled corpse while lamenting. “Papa! Wake up! Wake up please! I’m so sorry for running away from home all the time. Please papa if you wake up I promise not run away again! I'll be on my best behaviour, so please! WAAH! WAAH!”
Poor little girl crying her eyes out, she wasn’t aware that her kind and loving father was down in hell licking the filth from the devil’s anus. She only had one person to blame for ruining her happy family. The golden aberrant who struck deadly through the night who considered herself the deva of agony, Tainted Scorpion.
.........
[Woo-woo! Woo-woo!] Multiple flashing sirens resounded throughout the brisk night. Arak Gold’s police department showed up at Mega Pop’s residence after receiving anonymous Intel. The authorities assessed the crime scene and acquired forensic evidence before clearing out the dead bodies. The lead detective who was in charge of brutal homicide cases such as this one came a bit later.
[Vrm! Vrm!] A dark-blue vehicle pulled over in the mansion’s driveway that was currently jam-packed with other emergency vehicles. It had to park into a tight spot to not obstruct ongoing traffic. When the driver’s seat opened, a middle-aged man donned in a grey suit stepped out. He resembled a sloven apparition with dishevelled hair; roughly unkempt stubble; uninterested eyes; burnt scar on the lower side of his face and a slightly bent character. The cigarette which was burning between his dark lips emphasised his ragamuffin demeanour.
“Detective Kim, you showed up after all.” A rival investigator came over and greeted the ragamuffin man after seeing him stepping out of his vehicle. “Why don’t you sit this one out? It might be a bit too much for you to handle.”
“Too much for me to handle?” Detective Kim spared the big belly man who had just spoken to him a glance of disdain. “If trash like you can stomach this cruelty then I certainly can, Detective Hoon.”
Investigator Hoon felt offended. “Hey, hey. Why do you have to start with the offensive name-calling? We both share the same profession. Shouldn’t we handle our squabbles like adults here?”
“Tsk.” Detective Kim clicked his tongue in annoyance and replied: “Hoon, stop wasting my time. I know that you were once on Mega Pop’s payroll, I even have evidence to prove your affiliations. So if you don’t want me to ruin your career, hurry up and debrief me of what happened here.”

“Ah, yeah. Why do you have to open up old wounds?” Investigator Hoon assented to Detective Kim’s orders and began leading the way to Mega Pop’s mansion. He was somehow reluctant to cope with Detective Kim’s rudeness, however, he eventually complied while thinking internally: “This damn old grouch. One of these days I’m going to clean up his dusty ass.”
[Thud! Thud!] As Investigator Hoon led the way toward Mega Pop’s defiled dojo, he explained the details collected from the crime scene to Detective Kim. “…And that is what we’ve understood so far. I think this might have been an official hit brought about by the underground gangs’ internal strife that has been brewing recently.”
“Is that so?” Detective Kim looked at Investigator Hoon weirdly. After he witnessed the grotesque scenery left behind in Mega Pop’s dojo he had to cover his mouth with his handkerchief due to the odorous scent. “I still can’t believe that only one person dealt with all of Mega Pop’s security. Are you sure this information is solid, Hoon.”
“Of course, that’s what the only survivor of this bloodbath told us when we arrived at the scene.”
“You mean Mega Pop’s daughter?”
“Yeah, she said she witnessed a single individual killing off Mega Pop’s men. The assassin even killed her maid before her very eyes then fled the scene right after.”
“Oh, did she get a good look at the killer?”
“Yeah. Before the medic took her away I made sure I took a brief statement from her just in case her trauma rendered her incapable of answering our questions at a later date.”
Detective Kim ventured further inside the puddle of blood, knelt over and picked up a squashed eyeball using his pen. “Ah, disgusting.” He tossed away the eyeball then gave his attention back to Investigator Hoon. “Then what did she say the killer look like?”
“Ah, you won’t believe that little girl’s bizarre description. She told me that it was a golden spider who killed all these men with a very sharp silver web.”
“Golden spider? Silver web...?” Detective Kim portrayed an expression of bewilderment. Seeing this, Investigator Hoon added:
“I know it sounds ridiculous right? That little girl’s imagination is really something.”
“A golden spider? Golden spider?” Detective Kim continued pondering what sort of golden spider Mega Pop’s daughter was referring to. He paced back and forth the bloody dojo until something clicked inside his head.
“Golden spider! Could she have made a mistake in the comparison of those creatures?”
“Oi, Detective Kim. What are you mumbling about?” Investigator Hoon wanted to know the reason for Detective Kim’s strange behaviour. Shortly after he questioned his rival, Detective Kim came closer while asking:
“Hey, Hoon. Did that little girl mention whether or not the golden spider was a woman?”

“Oh, no she didn’t explicitly state the gender. However, when I first got here one of the security guards who was still clinging to his life by a thin thread was repeatedly mumbling ‘Bitch! Bitch! Bitch! Bitch!’ as if he was some sort of scratch record. So it is highly likely that the perpetrator is female. Man, if a woman really was the cause of this brutal massacre she must possess godly skills.”
“More like demonic arts.” Detective Kim retorted with a sudden flare to his eyes. He seemed as if he had an idea of who obliterated Mega Pop along with his security. “I have to confirm something. Hoon, lend me your phone.” [Reach!]
“But what about your phone? You must own a one since you’re driving that posh car.”
“I forgot mine at the precinct. Just hurry and hand over your phone already!”
“Alright, alright. But don’t drain all of my data okay?”
“I won’t take long.” Detective Kim eagerly swiped the phone out of Investigator Hoon’s grasp then hurriedly dial a number. [Beep! Beep! Beep!]
Someone on the other line picked up. “Yes, Detective Hoon. What can I do for you?”
Detective Kim clarified: “This isn’t Detective Hoon, I’m only borrowing his phone.”
“This voice… Mr Kim is that you?”
“Yes, it’s me. By the way Marlon, where are you right now? Have you already made it to the morgue bureau?”
“No, not yet. We’re still a couple of miles out. Why do you ask? Did something happened at the mansion?”
“I just want to confirm something. Where is Mega Pop’s body right now?”
“Mega Pop’s body? I’m currently staring at it laying on the double stretcher before me, it’s missing a head though.”
“That doesn’t matter as long as you’re in reach of his body. Here is what I want you to do for me, Marlon.” Detective Kim told his forensic buddy to opened up Mega Pop’s chest and check if there was a strange imprint on his heart. He hung up the phone shortly after he issued his instructions then waited for the confirmation call.
“Hey, Oolong Kim what was that phone call about? You mention something about cutting open Mega Pop’s chest?” Investigator Hoon enquired about Detective Kim’s weird conversation over the phone.
After several minutes flashed by, Hoon’s phone rang. Detective Kim answered the call. “I’m listening, Marlon. What did you find?”
“It is just as you’ve suspected, Mr Kim. I found a golden ring wrapped around the thick tube of his superior vena-cava. When I inspected the ring closer I recognized a symbolic scorpion engraved into it. How is this possible, sir? There is no previous laceration which proved that the vena-cava has been severed. Furthermore, before I cut open Mega Pop’s chest I didn’t identify any form of prior surgical marks nor noticeable bruising. So how is it possible for a fully welded ring to be perfectly clamped around this man’s superior vena-cava?”
Finished listening to Marlon’s discovery, Detective Kim hang up the phone abruptly then toss it back into Investigator Hoon’s grasp. “I knew it.” As soon as this utterance escaped his mouth, Oolong Kim no longer resembled a sloven apparition, moreover, his earlier bent character was now straightened. It was as if he received a new vigour to his life.
Detective Kim’s caprice compelled Investigator Hoon to ask: “Hey, Kim what did you two talk about?”
“I know who the assassin is.” Oolong Kim answered with a rueful expression on his face.
“What? You do? Who is it?”
“Oi, Hoon, have you ever heard of, Tainted Scorpion?”
“Tainted Scorpion?” Hoon’s eyes shot wide open. “Of course I’ve heard of it! There is no one who had previous affiliations with Arak Gold’s underground who hasn’t come across that name at least once. How did you confirm that Tainted Scorpion is the culprit?”
Detective Kim elucidated his conjecture to Investigator Hoon. “I’ve been chasing after Tainted Scorpion for 3-years now. It was not until a year ago that I found out that she was a woman affiliated with the mysterious Assassin league of Black Scorpions. It’s her modus operandi to leave a golden scorpion ring on the heart of each of her targets. The way how she does it without cutting apart the victim’s body still eludes me. This is like her signature whenever she assassinates someone. Due to this, Tainted Scorpion became one of the most infamous assassins of the underground.”
“Detective Kim then is it safe to assume that it was a rival underground syndicate who ordered the hit on Mega Pop?”
“Most likely and if my deductive skills are still as sharp as they’re used to then there is an 80% chance that it was the Demon Triads who contracted her services. I bet if we continue monitoring the Demon Triads, Tainted Scorpion is bound to show up close by. Just you wait, filthy murderer. I will apprehend you if it is the last thing I do before I retire.”
“Wow! You’re burning man.” Hoon noticed a visible aura radiating around Detective Kim’s which made him feel intimidated. “Did something happen between you and Tainted Scorpion in the past? I’ve never seen you this fired up to catch a bad girl before.”

Godfather Of Champions
This is a story about the pursuit of victory.— «I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!»The main character was not well-liked by people.— «⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?» Parker, a reporter from laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC.But there were also people who were madly in love with him.— When Tony Twain was forced to talk about the survey conducted by during an interview, his reply was : «I am happy, because Nottingham Forest’s fans make up seven percent of England’s population.»And he did not seem to care about how the others saw him.— «What are you all trying to make me say? Admit that I am not popular, and everywhere I go will be filled with jeers and middle fingers. You all think I will be afraid? Wrong! Because I am able to bring victory to my team and its supporters. I don’t care how many people hate me and can’t wait to kill me, and I also won’t change myself to accommodate the mood of these losers. You want to improve your mood? Very simple, come and defeat me.»His love story had garnered widespread attention.— «Our reporters took these pictures at Manager Tony Twain’s doorsteps. It clearly shows that Shania entered his house at 8.34pm and she did not leave the house throughout the night at all. But Manager Tony Twain firmly denies, and insists that that was merely the newest-model inflatable doll which he had ordered. He was the number one star of the team.— «⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.»He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer.— «⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted «books» (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?» An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper. He was loved and hated by the press.— «He has a special column in at least four renowned print media, and he is able to get a considerable amount of remuneration just by scolding people or writing a few hundred words of nonsense weekly. While we have to contemplate hard about our drafts for three days before our boss is pleased with it. In an article inside his special column, he scolded and called all of the media ‘son of a bitch’, announcing that he hated the media the most. But every time he publishes an article, we flock towards him like flies which had spotted butter. Why? Because the readers like to read his news and see him scold people. I dare to bet with you, and Manager Tony Twain knows clearly in his heart as well, that even though he says that he hates us, he knows that the present him cannot do without us. Similarly, we also cannot do without him. Is this ultimately considered a good or a bad thing?» Bruce Pearce, a reporter from said with a face of helplessness when talking about Tony Twain. But no matter the case, his players were his most loyal believers.— Gareth Bale, «No no, we never had any pressure when playing on our home grounds. Because the pressure is all on the manager. As long as we see him standing by the side of the field, all of us will feel that we will be able to win that match. Even the football hooligans are like meek lambs in front of him!» (After saying this, he began to laugh out loudly)The reply from George Wood, the team captain of Nottingham Forest, was the most straightforward. «We follow him because he can bring us victory.»The legendary experience of Tony Twain, the richest, most successful, most controversial manager with the most unique personality!Debuting this summer.Thank you for reading.
