《B.L.A.N.K- The search for the meta》I gnoll what you did last summer

I hate wasting time. I have always been that way. I have a great desire to make use of every second to have some profound effect. Humanity, itself feels this need to increase, at least slightly each day in order to be satisfied. I am prone to increase far more than the typical human. For that reason, I put a great deal of effort into activities that are guaranteed to either benefit me now or in the future.
For instance, last summer I downloaded an app for the virtual private space called Breaking stuff. As the name suggests, the app let me break stuff. I could choose what object to throw and what objects to break. I used the app to practice throwing rocks for two straight weeks! In every virtual game there are rocks, and since I wanted to play a warrior class I knew I would have to have some way to pull monsters. It was time to see if my practice would pay off.
I prepared my shot as the gnoll scout moved into the perfect position and flung it at his face.
The rock flew through the air and hit the gnoll scout right in the nose.
You have dealt 1 damage. (199/200hp)
The gnoll barked and yelled at the other gnolls. He pointed to where I was on the rock but I had ducked back down. The other gnolls ignored him and he moved alone to check it out.
I waited on the other side of the large stack of boulders, not entirely sure if it would work. A moment later, the gnoll scout came around the corner with his shortsword drawn.
Perfect!
I activated power attack and leaped from above the gnoll. I drove my sword into his neck with two hands. The force of the blow knocked him off balance and he stumbled.

Critical Hit!
You have dealt 97 damage! (102/200 hp. )
I activated rapid strikes and struck three more times before he could react.
Hit!
You have dealt 45 damage! (57/200 hp)
Hit!
You have dealt 39 damage! (18/200 hp)
Hit!
You have dealt 38 damage! (0/200 hp)
Ding! You have slain gnoll scout!
Ding! You have gained 20 experience! (20/2000)
The last attack pierced his chest and the gnoll fell to the ground like a rag-doll.
Man, I needed a new weapon. My shortsword only deals 10-12 base damage, which is seriously limiting my damage potential. More than 75% of my damage is coming from strength alone.
I bent down to loot the gnoll and saw the three players from before approaching me through the forest. This position they took made me uncomfortable, it cut off my planned escape route.
-Dammit, they must have seen. I don't want to deal with this right now.
I quickly tapped the digital screen above the gnoll and looted him.
3 copper
old rusted dagger
x2 gnoll ear
I took a closer look at the players. The mage was wearing simple beginner blue robes but had a nice looking staff. He was tall and lanky with tacky blue hair, which meant he was most likely an ice mage.
The warrior was wearing beginner armor as well but had a sword with a slight glow to it. A magic sword! The man was large and had an evil look on his face.
The cleric had beginner armor on and a decent steel mace. He was of medium build and also wore an evil smile. Their faces betrayed their greed, and I realized they were player killers. They were after my leather armor, and with my small size believed me to be an easy target.
The mages hands began tracing the runes for ice bolt and they began their assault.

Thunk!
"Oww", the mage cried out as the rock I threw hit him in the nose.
You have dealt 1 damage! 95/96 hp.
The rock interrupted his spell-casting and his runes faltered. I used that time to move behind a tree.
" AFTER HIM! Don't let him escape! ", the warrior yelled as the cleric moved in on me.
I rushed out and activated power attack, my weapon glimmering as I thrust the sword into the chest of the cleric.
You have dealt 56 damage! 75/126 hp
" Don't ever send your healer in first!", I said with an evil laugh. My weapon glimmered again as I activated rapid strikes.

One Eyed Ghoul; a Tokyo Ghoul fanfic.
A for want of a nail fic I write in between moments when I'm working on my original story. Originally posted on FanFiction.net, but brought over here to allow people to compare it to my original work if they wish. The premise is as follows: Hide decides to pay Ken an early visit in the hospital. He cares too much to let his friend recover alone. A tiny change to the sequence of events, an entirely different story. Some bloody scenes, but no worse than the original story offered.

The God Cheese Chase
“It was the race of the century. Millions upon millions of participants lined up at the thousand miles long starting line. The tension and excitement permeated the air like a thick miasma. Even I was affected. Who am I you say?Why I am the world’s greatest adventurer. I have slain demons and gods, conquered the hardest dungeons, scaled the tallest mountains, and braved even the hottest deserts. They call me the devourer of the hidden, discoverer of secrets, and the destroyer of the unknown. For my name is Charles Brie, the only man who shall win this race!”After my grand monolog, my crew looked at me with awe.“Captain,” My first mate sighed. “We truly pity you and your delusions of grandeur.”And with that, the race that would decide the fate of all began.
