《B.L.A.N.K- The search for the meta》Story

As we cleared the floor, me and tide pestered Olaf into telling us about the lore of blank. Everything we had learned had come from videos we had watched but most information was kept under wraps due to competition between guilds. We knew some things, but a great deal of this world was still a mystery to us.
Olaf may not have any memory of his previous life, but he did remember growing up here and knew a great deal.
One thousand years ago, the intelligent races(Elves, dwarves, gnomes, cat people(khaqui), lizard people(Velket), birdmen(?),humans) were on the brink of destruction. The primitive beasts and powerful monsters that occupied the planet threatened to overrun them. They were led by an ancient black dragon, named Morto Venti.
It is said that a star fell from the heavens bringing forth a human man from another world, his name was Archanos.
This man brought with him a weapon that would turn the tide of the war, magic.
He used his magic to create the great elemental stones, teaching the intellegient races how to bind their souls to the magic. Those that trusted in this man gained great power and prestige and created the schools of magic that we use today.
Though intelligent, they were nothing more than animals themselves, with no law, no order, and no desire to create such things.
With the help of Archanos they won the war and struck a presumed fatal blow to Morto Venti. They pushed the hordes of creatures back, culling their vast numbers to near extinction.
This was not without a cost.
With fire comes ice, with light, comes darkness. For every element, there was an opposite, a mirror image that brought about balance. When the man from the stars brought the power of another universe he also introduced the world to good, and evil. The world experienced enlightenment, and for a time, knew peace.

Archanos became the first emperor and united the races, establishing law and order. He taught them philosophy, psychology, astrology, art, mathematics, and written language.
This created a golden age that lasted for 500 years. Archanos died at the age of 80 and passed down his special school of magic to his son, who became the new emperor. Generation after generation this cycle repeated, but Evil grew in the shadows, quietly gaining strength. Creatures and monsters began to appear with the ability to use magic, causing massive casualties.
Each Elemental stone had developed an enormous city centered around that form of magic, which created the different factions. They turned to each other in blame, sparking a civil war.
After much chaos and death, the 9th Emperor using the magic of his forefather quelled the uprising and once again created peace amongst the races.
This peace had lasted until Olaf's father, the 19th Emperor, was murdered. This happened on the night that Olaf was born, by his own mother. His mother ran away with him and raised him in a small village. When he was 10 she told him the truth, that she had been controlled by some dark force to kill his father before he could perform the knowledge transfer ceremony.
Olaf had always believed her, but it was not until recently that he had gained proof.
He had been present when one of the Avatars had tortured a member of the Hades guild before deleting him. The faction that Hades had joined, the dark faction, was being controlled by an evil force thought to be dead. The ancient black dragon Morto Venti.
As Olaf finished his story, me and Tide were blown away. While he had talked we had managed to clear all of the elementals on the second floor.

I had remained silent in order to let him finish but I had a lot to say, "Olaf I'm sorry to hear about your mother..do you think it was Morto Venti that caused it?"
A pained look crossed his face, "I knew it was something evil but now I know it was the same evil that my great-grandfather once fought. ".
Tide chipped in trying to lighten the mood, " So you grandpaps was Archanos? You know the name of this place is the Temple of Archanos.."
Olaf nodded and smiled, "Yes, my father was unable to transfer the knowledge of how to use the magic but I believe that it hidden in this temple. I can't believe you found it... Before my mother died she gave me this necklace. " He said while gesturing to his ruby necklace, "She said whoever holds the Kings gem will become the next emperor, so I must protect it with my life."
"I thought it had an all-powerful enchantment on it that makes you unable to receive harm?" I retorted.
"There is, but it can be skirted, and if what you say is true then we can not allow Hades to get this magic. "
This was all nuts, but my adventure in the world of blank has been pretty crazy.
It felt good to know that my actions were important, and had a real effect upon someone's life.
"I swear upon all that I am", I said as I crossed my arms over my heart, " I will help you grow strong enough to get your revenge. I don't care if it's dragons or endless armies, no matter what it takes I will be there by your side! "
