"Have you heard!" So says a pretty maid with bright blue hair excitedly to her friend.
"No, what's going on." Answers another pretty maid with midnight black hair, Hoping for some juicy gossip.
"Young Master Rical has recovered and is returning today" The young maid's excitement keeps growing the more she talks.
"Young Master Rical?" The Black-haired maid asks in confusion, not knowing who this was.
" I forgot that you only started working for the Phenex family recently." Says the Bluenette. " Young Master Rical Phenex is the fourth child of Lord and Lady Phenex." She continues.
"I thought that Young Lady Ravel was the fourth child?" The Pinkette asks in confusion.
"Publicly, she is, but privately she is the fifth child. Young Master Rical was born with a rare blood disease that slowly eats away at his demonic energy and body, making him weak and causing his demonic energy to drop to low-class. So the Lady and Lord of Phenex decided it would be best to hide him from the public, to both save face and to protect the Young Master from those that would want to harm through him." The bluenette explains.
"I thought the Phenex house immortality was supposed to protect the family from any bodily harm, even illness?" The Pinkette once again confused.
"It is." the maid says, " But even the immortality of the Phenex clan found it impossible to heal the Young Master, only being able to keep him alive. The disease slowly ate away at the Young Masters body and demonic energy like a parasite. Over the years, it just kept getting stronger and stronger. Finally, until a year and a half ago, the Young Master's body could not take it anymore, and he collapsed and fell into a coma. " The maid says tearfully.

"Oh, my. That's horrible for a child to have to live through all of that."
"If the Young Master weren't born a high-class devil and had the Phenex family immortality, he would not have made it that long." The bluenette continues.
"Then if this disease is so bad that even the Phenex clan immortality failed, how did the Young Master wake up after a year and a half of being in a coma."
"Nobody knows, not even the doctors. He just woke up, and the disease was just gone."
"That's enough gossip, you two. The Phenex family will be back from the hospital soon, and we all need to gather in the entryway to greet them." So says a charming middle-aged man with silver hair and a butler outfit.
"Yes, sir," both maids reply.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions. But you need to live in the dark to appreciate the light...or at least, the lighter grays 🖤🖤
