《Wilberforce》Chapter 117: Black Stone

When Uznu Ururu appeared, he Bend sound to send a message to King Deniz Iluru so that only the two of them heard the message. Afterward, King Deniz dismissed his council, including his son Deniz Bizaya. As the last person to leave locked the door behind them, the two leaders discussed the impending war.
After two and a half hours of the closed-door meeting, Uznu came out of the room smiling. He looked at Kalhari and then at Deniz Bizaya, who had been standing outside the door, and then disappeared with a smile on his face. Bizaya and Kalhari looked at each other in amazement and confusion. What did the King discuss with the black-eyed visitor to make the man this happy?

Meanwhile, on the shores of Pseudo-Ururu island, Ikenga waited anxiously with his team. On his right was the devoted Kana, and on his left was the keeper Daddara.
They looked expectantly but calmly at the island as if waiting for someone.
For hours, Ikenga just stood there looking at the island from a distance. The whole place was surrounded by a wall that was about one hundred and forty cubits high and about twenty cubits thick. Everything was painted black. From inside the wall, you could see tall palm trees all around the island.
The sun began to set. It was getting dark and a bit of impatience appeared on Ikenga's face. But just then a loud explosion came from the island. Heated screams followed by dust filled the air. The screams became increasingly louder with time.
When the dust settled, the long walls protecting the city were nowhere to be seen. From where Ikenga stood, he could see children and adults alike running for safety.
And then seven more explosions went up to destroy the remaining island.
Ikenga, Daddara, and Kana remained still and unperturbed as they watched everything unfold.
On the island, a guardian knight had opened the Eycigan portal, allowing the children to escape to the first world before the situation was resolved. They all had the same question in their minds: who would dare attack Ururu?

Armad clung to Suwainah and went into the portal with the other children.
When they entered the portal, Armad felt a dizzying sensation that made him feel like vomiting, which was unusual at his level. When they came out through the exit portal, many of the children fell to the ground vomiting. The portal wasn't prepared as it was summoned in a hurry. Suwainah was the only one standing. Her eyes were full of determination and anger.
Seven months ago, Armad had helped her to awaken her Ururu. Of all the children on the island, she was the only one who had reached this stage. And she did so because of Armad.
Over the past few months, Armad and Suwainah had become deeply attached. They took care of each other and the girl protected him with her insight. Five months ago, an investigation was carried out on the island with agents coming from the first world to the island. It was to see what was happening with the elite children on the island and how the training was progressing. The person leading the investigation almost caught Armad, but the girl helped him hide in her body.
Now their trust was so strong that she was willing to take him to the first world. A place where only Ururu were allowed to visit.
Armad clung to her back as she held the hand of her younger sister who was still vomiting. It was a desperate situation. She still couldn't believe that someone would dare attack the sacred island. Even someone who gave up on life wouldn't do that.
As she stood there, the sky began to churn. She raised her head and spotted a giant rock falling toward them. It was large enough to cover her entire field of vision.
It must be the Black Stone that separated the first world from the lower worlds, she thought. No one knew the secret of the Black Stone. But it was said that it guarded the first world against its enemies, that no man had ever touched it except with the permission of Ururu, that it was something the enemy couldn't bypass no matter how long or hard they tried. Some even said it was created by the Lord King's own hands.

The stone stopped falling and floated just above the children. The poor girls just stood there and looked at it in awe. It was their first time seeing it.
As if in response to their gaze, a small door appeared in the middle of the stone. Two big black eyes shone in front of the door.
Suddenly, a black beam shot from the eyes into the crowd. The beam passed through everyone as if searching for intruders before it dissipated. A few seconds later, a middle-aged man appeared in the doorway. He'd the same black eyes as every one of them.
"The guardian?!" The crowd gasped. The guardian was so old that he became bedtime stories for them. He stood guard long before Amri and he was still guarding even now when the war was already won for eighteen hundred years.
Without saying a word, the guardian opened the door and invited the children in. One by one, more than half of the children passed, and it was Suwainah's turn.
Suwainah stepped into the doorway like the rest of the children, but instead of quickly going inside, she stopped and turned to look at the guardian. Their eyes met and the girl sent a silent message to the guardian through her black eyes.
Armad rested quietly on her back and avoided the guardian. He was confident that not even the guardian could see him. But just when he had the illusion of safety, he felt a hand on his neck. It was Suwainah's hand, but it was too rough. That wasn't the way to wake him up. Even just calling his name would be enough. That was what they'd been doing.
Before Armad could understand the situation, Suwainah pinned him down and handed him to the guardian. "I, Suwainah Ururu, have captured an Heir of Wilberforce trying to sneak into the first world."
The guardian grabbed Armad with force. Once he made contact, the soul became visible and immobile. He tied it up with a flame rope and threw it into a black box that just appeared in front of him.
Suwainah looked satisfied with herself. She walked straight into the portal and disappeared into the first world. The guardian had a complex expression on his face. Of course, he knew there was more to it than what the girl was telling him but for now, it was enough. No matter what ways she used to capture the Heir, she deserved some reward.
Meanwhile, Ikenga stood away from all the chaos. Shortly after the evacuation began, a man and a boy had approached him. The boy had black eyes but the man was human.
Both bowed their heads to greet Ikenga respectfully.
"It's done, my lord. It's our time to change this wretched world," the human said.
Ikenga nodded at him. Then he smiled at the child with black eyes. He looked younger than sixteen. "What's your name, boy?"
The boy replied cheerfully, "Ginad B. Ururu."
Ikenga moved closer and touched his hair with a smile. "What a beautiful name. But I prefer to call you Bayajidda Ururu. The 'B' in your name should come out. Are you afraid?"
"No way, uncle," said the boy with a smirk.
Having called Ikenga uncle attracted quite a few glares from the team, but Ikenga just laughed.
And the five of them left the island to its untimely destruction.
