《Second Chance》Chapter 12: Revenge...

I called up Mark, but he wasn't answering. I tried calling Howard but instead of his voice, I heard an older man answer.
"We request 10,000 in cash. Give it to us at the underground subway or we kill them." The man hung up and my heart sank. Liz looked at me, put her hand on my shoulder. I dropped my phone.
"Mark and Howard were kidnapped." I stuttered. Liz knew them from some of the stories I've told her.
"It's okay, Jake."
"It's not fucking 'Okay' Liz. They are defenseless. They are just kids for fuck's sake. I've got to go." I began walking, then running, then sprinting.
I arrived at the abandoned subway construction because I felt they would be there. As luck would have it, they were right there along with two armed men. Mark saw me and yelled out. Howard also saw me, and so did the two armed men. One aimed his gun at me.
"Stop or I will shoot." I looked him dead in the eyes.
"Shoot me then... no loose ends, huh?" I came closer and closer to him.
"Stop or I will fucking shoot you, dumbass." At this point, I was right in his face. I leaned in and whispered.
"Fucking. Shoot. Me. Then." I got the pistol Mike had given to me right to his abdomen. I pulled the trigger and a loud bang was heard. The man fell limb and I kicked him to the ground. The other guy dropped his gun and cowered in fear. I began walking towards him. I smiled.
"I'm fucking tired of shits like you messing with me." I shot him. I quickly untied Mark and Howard.
As we were going, I looked at the bodies. I shot them both. I didn't even feel the trigger. Was I going crazy? Was I a psychopath? Am I fucking twisted? What is happening? I began to ask myself these questions. I began to question my sanity. I began to feel abnormal. I puked on the floor. I couldn't hold it in. How could I murder two people without feeling anything? I guess I am crazy. I should embrace it. I shouldn't care. I didn't need anything else, just a weapon and bullets.

As I was about to give in to the madness Liz grabbed my shoulder. She looked so compassionate.
"Are you ok?" That's exactly what I needed. Someone to pull me back into reality. My worries were instantly drowned and I felt hope again. I stood up and I saw Mark and Howard waving at me. They were at the exit to the main street. We went home and along the way they thanked me.
We got to my house and I called Angelo and his crew over. Mark called over almost the whole class. Only one person came, though. It was the girl I had saved. She greeted me and introduced herself as Penny. I guess I hadn't asked for her name after all. Liz called some of her old band members and Creed didn't call anyone over. With Angelo's cartel, we had well over 200 people. I gathered them all in the living room and I stood on the table.
"Listen up people, we are about to do something legendary! Something in which, if we succeed we would have our names in history books. We are about to commit a sin so big, that we are guaranteed to burn in hell if we lose. We must stay together, we mustn't betray each other and we must trust each other." I looked at Liz. She smiled and nodded.
"Men and women... we are about to kill God himself and all of his minions." I tried my best to motivate my comrades for the showdown that was coming. We only had one chance to pull this off. We had to be quick and precise. We had to be united and we had to be willing to risk it all just for a simple assassination. We had to kill the highest being there is... We had to kill God before he killed us. We are attacking tonight.

The Primal Hunter
Book 1 now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited & Audible On just another normal Monday, the world changed. The universe had reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A world where power is the only thing that one can truly rely on. Jake, a seemingly average office worker, finds himself thrust into this new world. Into a tutorial filled with dangers and opportunities. In a world that should breed fear and concern, an environment that makes his fellow coworkers falter, Jake instead finds himself thriving. Perhaps… Jake was born for this kind of world, to begin with. Release Schedule: 5 chapters a week. Average chapter length: 2500 Tags and content warnings are mainly to give me creative freedom later on. This is my first novel ever, and English isn’t my native language, so go easy on me chaps. Any feedback is more than welcome, of course. Also, this novel is only posted on Royalroad, Patreon, and my Amazon releases, so if you are reading it elsewhere, it's pirated and you suck if you keep reading.

Many Minded
Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author. Game Master - Unlocked [Terror Infinity]
Sieghart wakes up in the company building of one of the most dangerous supervillains in the world greeted by an inhuman entity who pushed them into an Death March that will span dimensions. (The Warnings Are just in case, thus far no plans have been made, but if there end up being any you are warned) [Terror Infinity Fanfiction, there was months of planning and thought into this. Left it for a year worked on it for a bit then left it again and back and forth. The Concept was interesting enough in both the Original and Side B, but the World Building for both was such a mess it gave me such a headache I had to restart and scrap entire ideas multiple times before I just gave up and started from almost scratch and got something mildly satisfying. In my opinion even then, it still needs work. Hopefully you guys will enjoy this.] (Cover Image Isn't Mine)
