《The Wu Clan's Rise: Legends of the twin dragons》Chapter 30- That Familiar Smile Reappears

Longmin who was silently listening by the side couldn't help but frown, and say, "As a peak late-stage Core Formation cultivator you actually want to challenge someone in the Foundation realm, are you that shameless?"
Longwei's eyebrows rose in slight surprise, this Weisheng's cultivation was actually so strong. It was only three years ago he was in the 6th stage of the Qi Gathering Realm, but within three years his cultivation actually jump by two major realms.
His cultivation speed could actually match the top geniuses on planet Daiyu.
When this thought cross Longwei's mind he began sneering in his heart, 'What genius, his cultivation talent was only so-so back then, it's obvious someone must have forcefully raised his cultivation.'
While Longwei was thinking that to himself, on the outside Weisheng became dumbfounded upon hearing Longmin's words.
The cultivation aura he was currently releasing was that of an early-stage Core Formation cultivator, his true strength was hidden by a seal that was personally cast by his master, the patriarch of the Crescent Moon Sect.
It was impossible for anyone below the late Sage realm to see his real cultivation, but Longmin's words caused him to nearly jump out of his skin in shock.
'How was he able to see past master's seal?!'
As Weisheng screamed that in his heart, the voice of the Fire Phoenix Clan member echoed in his head with a grave tone.
"That child's eyes aren't normal. Not only did he see through your teacher's seal, for a split second it even felt like his eyes were about to penetrate my own concealment technique and discover me."
The only persons who knew that Longmin possessed the Mystical Dao Eyes were the upper echelons of the Wu Clan and Longwei himself. No younger members of the Wu Clan know and neither did anyone outside, and the reasons were obvious since Longmin had been within the clan all this while.
Hearing the words of the Fire Phoenix clan member, Weisheng's shock became even greater and an overwhelming amount of caution for Longmin rose within his heart.
After a while, he somehow managed to compose himself, then said, "That's right, my cultivation is indeed at the late stage, however, there's no need for young master Longwei to personally fight, you could just have one of your bodyguards fight for you."

Weisheng had on a somewhat mocking smile as he said that.
Longwei could hear the taunting and ridicule within Weisheng's voice, and the hostility swirling around within his glare turned up a notch. He took a step forward and arrogantly said, "Do you think I need someone to fight my battles? Keep your early Core Foundation cultivation, if I can't severely injure or kill you within five moves then it's my loss."
When Weisheng saw Longwei's reaction, a dark chuckle echoed in his heart. He didn't feel any shame for using an underhanded tactic to draw out Longwei, whether by hook or by crook he would get the Heavenly Pallet and subsequently his revenge.
Longmin's voice suddenly sounded out next to Longwei as he held onto his hand.
"Brother wait. Like I said before, you should be calmer in these situations and stop making rash decisions because of your emotions."
Weisheng looked towards Longmin and a slight frown appeared on his lips, but it quickly vanished before anyone saw it. The threat Longmin posed was increasing, he had goaded Longwei into a fight to achieve his goal, but Longmin went and stopped Longwei.
Weisheng's hatred was mainly focused on Longwei, but he found that his hatred was suddenly starting to shift unto Longmin as well. These two brothers absolutely must die, the threat they pose to the Crescent Moon Sect in the future was too great.
He thought that Longwei's threat with his Legendary Physique was already a lot but now he met Longmin and that threat had doubled.
Longwei turned to look at Longmin and said, "Little bro do you think I'd lose? Is the faith in your elder brother so low?"
Longmin expression became annoyed when heard that. Looking at his brother Longmin said, "It's not whether I think you'd lose or not, it's the fact that even if you do win you get nothing in return, but if you lose the Heavenly Pallet becomes his."
Longmin then turned to Weisheng and said, "Don't you think challenging my brother with your cultivation is already shameless enough? But you also want to have a wager with you losing nothing in the process."

Weisheng's smiled wearily and said, "Young master Longmin, as young masters of the Wu Clan I'm sure both of you lack nothing and can get just about anything. What could I, as an insignificant disciple of the Crescent Moon Sect, offer that's equal in value to the Heavenly Pallet?"
Hearing that Longmin's eyes narrowed, then suddenly, a broad smile that looked awfully familiar appeared on his lips.
Seeing that smile on his brother's face, Longwei's eyes flashed while his mind raced with countless thoughts.
Longmin then said, "How about this… if you win my brother has no choice but to hand over the Heavenly Pallet to, but if you lose… you have no choice but to become our servant for the remainder of the Pocket Realm's opening."
Upon hearing that, the calm expression on Weisheng's face fell a little. Within his mind, the voice of the Fire Phoenix Clan member sounded out, "This child from the Wu Clan is definitely one cunning brat. He must have sensed the presence of my soul within you and decided to use this bet as a chance to keep you close. Don't take his wager, if he has enough time there's no doubt he will eventually discover my existence, if that happens then not only will our plans to kill them be foiled, but the connection between your Crescent Moon Sect and my Fire Phoenix Clan will be discovered as well."
A look of hesitation appeared on Weisheng's face as he contemplated whether to accept or not.
Longmin saw his hesitation and said, "What? Are you going to decline our side of the wager because of such a simple condition?"
Longmin might have said that with a smile, but Weisheng could hear the ridicule in his voice.
After gritting his teeth, Weisheng forced out, "Fine, I accept the wager."
"You fool!! I told you not to accept his condition!!"
The Fire Phoenix Clan member's rough and grating voice shouted in Weisheng's head, which caused his mind to buzz.
It continue and said, "If he discovers me before I can carry out my assassination attempt, then all the years of planning would go down the drain in one fell swoop!!"
Weisheng calmly responded, 'You're forgetting the fact that he will have to beat me for that to happen. Even if he's a so call monster-level genius, there's no guarantee he can actually defeat me in only five moves. And even if he does, you'd just have to kill them before you're discovered, only with great risks can the most profit be reaped after all.'
Longmin smile became wider and his eyes lit up as he said, "Okay, our wagers are as follows, if my brother can't defeat you within five moves then he has to hand over the Heavenly Pallet to you. If he does, then you have no choice but become our servant for the duration of the Pocket Realm's opening, agreed?"
Weisheng casually nodded his head in affirmation.
Longmin then turned to look at Longwei and Longwei in turn look towards him. The two brothers stared into each other eyes for a moment before Longwei turned and walked out towards Weisheng.
No words needed to be spoken between them. Both brothers might be polar opposites, but no one understood them more personally than how they knew each other.
Longwei came to a stop in front of Weisheng and they both looked at each other.
Weisheng still had his calm smile etched on his face but Longwei's expression was one of indifference.
Weisheng cupped his fist, bent his waist slightly, then said, "Let's have a good match, young master Longwei."
After Weisheng said that he went into a fighting stance getting ready for the upcoming battle.
Longwei only snorted before casually producing a piercing blue Sword Qi in his hand.
"If I can't beat you within five moves then my name isn't Wu Longwei."

Luckily for the world, U.S Marshall Silas Horne is no such man. ----- AN: This story is a litRPG inspired by "Randidly Ghosthound" and "The New World" but after reading many such stories and finding them to be a tad samey I decided to write this in a new setting, the Wild West. Also, my release schedule is chaotic, expect at least one 1000 word chapter each day but probably like two more will also be released.
