"Li Shen you fucker, do you think you can escape?" Xiang Shi said in a furious tone.

One could see that one of his sleeves was empty as he ran after Li Shen through the forest like a mad bull.

Behind him were four youths dressed in the same yellow robes as Li Shen and Xiang Shi, indicating that they were from the same sect.

As they pursue Li Shen, evil grins could be seen plastered on their faces.

Upon hearing Xiang Shi's words, the disheveled-looking Li Shen become enraged and yelled back.

"Xiang Shi you piece of dog crap, if it wasn't for those other bastards getting in the way, instead of your arm I could've chopped off your fucking head!!"

Xiang Shi's face turned red with rage before he slapped his storage bag and took out a flying sword. Forming a seal with his only hand, the flying sword immediately shot towards Li Shen with lightning-like speed.

In only a breath's worth of time, it crossed dozens of meters to appear behind Li Shen's back.

"Explode!!"

With a loud bellow, Xiang Shi detonated the flying sword.

Li Shen was just able to turn around with a shield-type magic treasure and blocked the explosion.

However, he was sent flying backward from the force.

After rolling on the ground for a few yards he manage to get up and start running again.

Seeing that his attack fail yet again, Xiang Shi screamed in anger.

"Bastard!!"

Li Shen who was more haggard than before just sprinted forward even harder. His breath came out in ragged pants, as he was starting to feel exhausted from all the running.

Believe it or not, but ever since he entered the Pocket Realm this Xiang Shi and the other four had been chasing after him. At first, he was battling Xiang Shi one on one and had gained the upper hand, just when he was about to deliver the final blow, the four disciples popped out of nowhere and interfered, saving Xiang Shi from losing his head in the process.

He had run into the inner region hoping that it could deter them from following him, but even so the group continue to pursue him.

During the chase, in order to attack and slow him down, Xiang Shi had been sending out low-grade flying swords to explode at him.

How they didn't manage to piss off a couple of peak-tier rank 3 demonic beasts, Li Shen didn't know, he was able to mask his presence with the help of his Mirror Aura, while they were wide in the open.

When the flying swords detonated he had his mid-grade magic treasure to block the explosions with no problem. He thought that Xiang Shi will eventually run out of flying swords, but he was wrong.

The number of low-grade flying swords Xiang Shi exploded had probably surpassed a hundred by now.

Li Shen looked down at his shield that was filled with cracks. His heart was practically bleeding from the sight.

For him to have coughed up the Spirit Stones to purchase this mid-grade magic treasure had cost him an arm and a leg, now it was practically reduced to a useless piece of junk metal.

All the force from the flying swords explosions had caused its durability to be worn away.

Li Shen had to still keep it though because despite its durability becoming nonexistent, it was still a mid-grade treasure. The materials used to make it was strong enough to prevent him from receiving serious injuries from Xiang Shi's flying swords.

Li Shen suddenly heard a familiar swooshing sound, that caused him to quickly turn around with the shield hosted up in front of him.

A loud explosion occurred as another one of Xiang Shi's flying swords detonated.

Li Shen was sent tumbling back, but without breaking his momentum he got back up and just continue to run.

The cracks in his shield were starting to spread to cover it fully, even a corner of it had been chipped off from that explosion.

Li Shen started to curse in his heart, if his shield gave out now he would have no way to block the explosions coming from Xiang Shi's flying sword. When that time comes, he'll be subjected to the explosions directly, giving Xiang Shi's group a chance to catch up to him.

If it was only Xiang Shi he could have taken him on, but since the other four disciples were there, the only outcome was that he would be surrounded and killed.

Li Shen gritted his teeth in frustration, and thought to himself, 'Xiao Fang, if I ever survive this ordeal you put me in, I swear I'll kill you along with those shameless old farts that condone your immoral behaviors.'

With the Cultivation Method from the manual in his consciousness, he knew he had the potential to become a powerful expert in the future, so powerful that even the Sect Leader who was a Sage realm expert, and also Xiao Fang's father, couldn't win against him.

As Li Shen thought that, he heard another swoosh behind him before he turned around and block another exploding flying sword.

This time, however, a portion of the shield had been blown off, resulting in some of the attack making contact with his chest. Li Shen was knocked backward, with blood spraying from his mouth.

As the group approach closer, Li Shen was about to explode into a frenzy and attack Xiang Shi to take him along as company in his death, however, before he could, a massive wind storm suddenly swept through the surrounding forest.

Everyone looked up towards the sky and saw through the trees, a gigantic bird-type demonic beast swooping down towards them.

Terrified expressions appeared on Xiang Shi's group faces as they look up at the bird.

"It..it's a peak tier Rank 3 demonic beast, run!!"

Screamed one of the youth from behind Xiang Shi.

Xiang Shi looked up at the demonic beast and gritted his teeth before yelling, "What are you doing?! The young patriarch ordered us to kill this bastard, are you going to disobey his orders?!"

The youth that had already took off running, yell back, "Xiang Shi you loyal dog!! Do you really expect me to throw my life away upon the orders of that loathsome Xiao Fang?!"

"You ungrateful wretch! Is that how you speak about the young patriarch after everything he's given you?!"

Xiang Shi shouted at the youth but he didn't respond, he just kept on running off in the distance.

The other three youth's also started to run away despite Xiang Shi's yelling.

Li Shen only looked on with a vicious grin on his face.

Now the reason was obvious why he wanted to kill Xiang Shi so badly before he died. Out of all the deplorable dogs' Xiao Fang had under his command, no one was more deplorable than this bastard Xiang Shi.

Even with the threat of a peak-tier rank 3 demonic beast, he still wanted to carry out Xiao Fang's orders to suck up to him.

Seeing him all alone now, Li Shen began to laugh hysterically.

As the wind from the rank 3 demonic beast descent increased in the forest, Li Shen wonder what would happen first. Whether he would be able to kill this fucker Xiang Shi and then be killed by this rank 3 demonic beast, or instead this rank 3 demonic beast would kill them both.

Any which way works for him as long as Xiang Shi was dead.

Li Shen watched in surprise, as that person fell through the air before gently touching down on the ground as light as a feather. He was even more gobsmacked by the person's identity.

That person in question was a white-robed Longmin.

Li Shen could only stare with an open mouth, as Longmin greeted him with that familiar smile.

"Long time no see, senior brother," Longmin said while looking up at Li Shen, who was almost two heads taller than him.
