It was a vast throne room with eight huge columns that sustained the whole structure, in the middle of the room a golden stone path leads directly to a blue throne with gold engravings on it. In between the columns, hanging from the ceiling, blue colored ancient dwarven tapestry could be seen.
Dayer’s body was beside the stone throne, his silver hair was tainted with fresh blood and his arms were twisted in strange angles.
Merrich was sitting on the floor next to a wall in the entrance of the room with his head down, his broken lute laid next to him. He had an arrow lunged in his leg and another one in his arms.
Marr was lying on the floor in front of the throne, a pool of blood formed under his shoulder, that had been pierced by a sword.
A silver-scaled Half-Dragon had his foot on Marr’s chest, a clear expression of disdain could be seen on his eyes as he plunged the sword deeper into Marr’s shoulder. The Half-Dragon opened his mouth as his chest swelled up and an ice-blue light could be seen in his throat.
------------------
Ten minutes earlier…
Marr got his axe ready as he analyzed a map of the underground ruins he found in the squad leader’s body.
He looked seriously at the Halfling as he explained the plan.
“Okay, this is the plan. I will break the door, as soon as I blow it Merrich you play “Speedy Savagery”, that will give us a boost to execute the next part of the plan.”
Marr then turned to Dayer as he said to him.
“Dayer we will use the Darastrix Lesot Tactic that I showed you, you will hide behind me using “Shadow Path”, when we get close enough you will use “Ethereal Step”, and attack him from behind using “Bleeding Edge” and “Killer’s Mark”.”
Merrich and Dayer nodded in unison as they got ready for the attack.
Marr took a few steps back as he positioned his axe in front of his arm, he took a deep breath and charged toward the gate.
As he got close to the gate Dayer disappeared into the shadows as he followed behind Marr’s charge.
When Marr collided with the gate, it swung open with a loud boom and a fast melody played from Merrich lute.
Marr’s speed raised considerably as his charge become even more savage and destructive.
Sitting on the throne was a tall and silver scaled Half-Dragon. When he saw the gate opening he quickly got up from the throne as he grabbed his sword and said.
“Who are you? Why are you barging in here like that?”
As the fast melody keep playing, Marr got closer to the throne he prepared to swing his axe at full force toward Stradok.
He spun around as he made a swing with his axe, Stradok defended the attack with his sword seeming completely unfazed by the attack.
Suddenly a shadow appeared behind the Half-Dragon and made an attack toward his back. Two sharp daggers were aimed at vital points in Stradok’s body.
As the two daggers hit their target Dayer quickly retreated away from the Half-Dragon.

Marr Tried to disengage but as he tried to step back a silver colored hand grabbed his wrist and swung him violently to the floor, making him spat out blood from the impact.
The Half-Dragon seemed completely unfazed by the Eladrin’s attack as he went down the throne and nailed Marr to the ground with his sword.
Marr screamed from the pain as he stared furiously at Stradok.
Stradok stared at the Dragonborn as he said dismissively.
“Stay right there, I will take care of somethings first.”
Seeing the situation turning bad Merrich quickly invocated a strange rune that directly attacked the Half-Dragon.
The rune was a psychic type of magic that attacked the opponent’s mind.
The Half-Dragon faced the rune head on and resisted it, he stared at the Halfling as he said.
“That hurts quite a bit.”
When he finished saying this word, he took two hand crossbows that were holstered in his legs and shot the arrows at Merrich. Both Arrows hit their targets and because of the pain, the Halfling lute fell to the ground.
The Half-Dragon quickly run toward Merrich, when suddenly Dayer appeared behind him again, Stradok made a half turn grabbing the Eladrin’s arm and swinging him toward’s a pillar.
He kept walking in the direction of the Halfling. Merrich took out his repetition crossbow and tried to hit the Half-Dragon who easily dodged the arrows.
When Stradok reached the Halfling, he punched Merich with all his strength sending him flying toward a wall at the beginning of the room. Merrich hit the wall and slid to the grown unconscious. The Half-Dragon kicked the lute in the same direction destroying it against a wall right next to Merrich.
Then he went back to the Eladrin’s direction and grabbed him from the floor, he broke Dayer’s arm with his hands and sent him flying in the direction of the throne.
Dayer hit his head on the stone throne as he fell down slowly, blood could clearly be seen on his hair as the impact wounded him.
The Half-Dragon sighed as he went back in the direction of Marr’s slowly, he pressed his foot on the Dragonborn’s chest as he plunged the sword deeper into his should and asked.
“Who sent you?”
Marr gritted his teeth enduring the pain as he stared fiercely at the Half-Dragon.
Stradok twisted his blade, making Marr scream in pain as he asked again.
“Who sent you?”
Marr looked at him with a strong resolve on his eyes as he said.
“I won’t ever tell you, so you better kill me now.”
The Half-Dragon showed his deep disdain for Marr as he opened his mouth and his chest swelled up.

At that moment, a small drop of Marr’s blood reached the bag he had hidden under his armor, an ancient and emancipated voice resounded in Marr’s head as a bright light appeared in front of him.
[Hello my child.]
As Marr heard this voice echoing directly into his mind, he realized time seemed to have stopped around him, he stared at the light in front of him as he said.
“Who are you? Why is your voice resounding in my head?”
The ancient voice answered with no urgency in his tone.
[I’m Io, the ancient Dragon God.]
Marr was surprised, all the members of his clan were followers of the ancient dragon god Io who was said to be dead, although no one knew how this god came to fall or if it truly had fallen.
Marr eyes regained some hope as he asked.
“Can you help me, Lord Io?”
The ancient voice sounded once more.
[I can help you my son, by uncovering the true power behind your bloodline, the ancient paths of the Dragonborn will be available to you, but you must help me with something.]
When Marr heard this he was exited, he stared at the light in front of him as he asked.
“What is it that you need my help with?”
The light went silent for some minutes as it said.
[ You shall take the mantle of your clan and fulfill the mission I left to your ancestor all those years ago. As to what that mission is, you can ask your ancestor. Decide quickly, I can’t maintain this state for too long.]
Marr didn’t hesitate, he looked at the light and said.
“I accept your condition.”

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.
