Chapter 5 - New world
A loud roar vibrated through base shaking the walls, plaster cracked and flaked, drifting down. Eric was laying curled in the fetal position, his head pounded like a jackhammer. Warnings flashed in front of his eyes, his stomach turning while trying to concentrate on the words.
*WARNING!!! 100101001010110…..*
*Mana overloaded by Error0003% *
*ERROR! System ShuE923F03t Down*
Erics eyes blink as blue light flashes in his eyes, his eyes roll back loosing conscious. Another roar reverberated through the building, waking Eric from his slumber. He steadied himself in the hallway and looked out the window towards the breach. Blue light expanded out, and an enormous lizard with black scales stood unfazed as light beams rebounded off its scales, scattering away. A figure in a black cloak stood atop the dragon, his face hidden in darkness. The man lifted his hand towards the army patrols rushing to intercept. A sudden violent heat felt from behind the glass conjured and a ball of fire flew to the troops. Fire spread as the fireball struck, the men fell screaming as flames burned their flesh. Eric he clutched a railing, steading himself as his legs trembled. Before Eric could comprehend the destruction, a heavy thick hand gripped him on the solider. His eyes peered up to meet a big black beard, looking closer he remembered him as the guy he walked into before.
“Get up and move boy…”
Eric followed the man, his voice giving him confidence. They walked through the door and the wall to their left exploded inwards, bricks flew everywhere. A brick hit the big guy, causing him to collapse on the floor while Eric flew backward, landing on the ground.
*System Reboot Starting……*
*10%….. 39%….. 50%… 89%…. 100%... Reboot Complete*
*User Eric Sovan*
*Age - 19*
*Neurons Mutation 70% Complete*
*Warning! - A Large mana discharge has increased mutation speed*

*Warning! - Large Mana increase needed. Failure to advance could lead to death.*
*Suggest user get closer to a mana source*
Eric looked at the proclamations in dismay, then got to the rift as fast as possible, hoping that a full mutation might get him out of this mess. Eric Ran outside through the broken wall heading towards the rift, the smell of sulphur and burning flesh reached his nose making him want to puke. As he approached the rift, he noticed the usual barrier stopping entry didn’t affect him, because of the 70% mutation. The dragon looked a lot bigger now Eric was closer. He could feel warmth radiating from its body. Eric couldn’t belive his luck as he rushed past the beast at full speed, although the dragon didn’t notice him the man standing above did. As Eric neared the rift closer than ever before, a hooded man blinked into existence in front of him, blocking the way forward. Eric could see confusion on the man’s face, now illuminated by blue light emanating from the rift.
“Arksalpo siror??” the man asked in surprise.
Not understanding, Eric tried to walk past only but blocked from a firm grip on his shoulder. Eric struggled to shrug him off, an abrupt shock hit Eric in the skull as the obscure man invaded his mind. Dropping to the floor in torment from the recent mind invasion, notices appeared in his vision.
*UNIDENTIFIED MANA SIGNUTURE DETECTED*
*ISOLATING MANA SOURCE*
*ERROR… MANA OVERLOAD…*
*NEURON MUTATION 100%…*
*INVASIVE MANA WITHDRAWN*
*STARTING SYSTEM REBOOT 3…. 2…. 1….*
Eric blacked out as the countdown reached 0, accompanied by a slight pain in his temples. The cloaked man picked the passed out Eric and threw him through the rupture in space, before commanding his dragon to retreat. Eric, the cloaked man and the dragon blinked out from existence with a flash of light. The rift became unstable; light shimmered violently, crackles of lightning formed above, reaching down like roots from the heavens. The rift shrank until a tiny point of light remained before expanding in an explosion of lightning and energy that reached a 100mile radius, everything with in the blast zone vaporised, turning to dust.

Eric woke lying down on something soft, a ringing echoing through his skull. Opening his eyes, he could see a blue sky, with two suns shining down on him. The softness he felt was lush green grass, providing a soft padding as he lay. Eric moved to look around more, but a sudden jolt of pain struck through his spine. Urgh… Must have broken something. Not being able to move, Eric stayed staring into the sky, enjoying the cool breeze that washed over him. His eyes closed, drifting into a slumber, the suns and grass keeping him both warm and comfortable. After several hours of sleeping, Eric woke shivering, opening his eyes to see the suns setting in the distance. A sweet melodious voice resounded in his head.
*Hey sleepy head finally awake*
“Urgh… W.. What… Who’s there???” Eric said out loud.
*It’s me AMI or… AMIY or AMILLIA or AMYI or…*
“What??? Why, How are you talking like a person,”
*Hmmm you should call me Amiy from now on, I like that name Amiy… yea ahah my name is Amiy* Amiy said giggling like a schoolgirl.
“Ok…. Amiy happened to you???”
*hmm oh it’s simple, when that wicked man invaded our.. no your mind, I started absorbing mana faster to push him out, but the mana fused me fully into your brain.*
“That dosen’t explain how you can form thoughts and have a conversation,”
*Oh right…. hmm.. I don’t know as well, but I like the change*
“Do you have an idea where we are?”
*I don’t know after you passed out, the dangerous man sent us through the rift. So… I guess we are in a different world.*
“yea I thought so as well considering the two suns I saw before, I wish I could move but I think I have broken something,”
*I just scanned your body. You have a fractured cervical, its healing slowly on its own using mana. I could try to speed up the process*
“Sure, try it.”
Eric felt the chilly feeling of mana envelop him before slowly condensing around his neck. An irresistible itch appeared, and he wanted nothing but to scratch it, knowing moving would probably mess up the healing process, he tried to stay still. While waiting for the healing, he chatted with Amiy, together discovered that the surrounding mana was 1000% more than what was leaking from the rift. Also that the mana would passively heal him. They were unsure if this was special to just him, but decided that it most likely affected everything living here. After 2 hours of laying still, Amiy informed him that the healing completed, but he should still be careful for a few days and let the passive healing the mana provided to reinforce the bones. Moving his neck, he felt a little weakness but no pain now. Lifting to look around, he noticed he was in a large open plane of green. The world was dark with the absence of the suns. Not really seeing anything because of the low light, Eric stayed on the planes until morning come. His stomach growled in frustration at the lack of food, laying back down for a cold, hungry night sleep.

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
