《Questers, a litRPG tale》Chapter 25

The master and apprentice travelled northbound. Sam was familiar with the region. The dungeon they planned to clear was Horned Beast's Furrow. It wasn't hard to clear. The little one-horned beasts in the dungeon had very thick skin making it hard to penetrate. Sword attacks weren't strong enough to penetrate it and they had to make use of magic attacks.
"Do you have any skill tomes?" Carnage asked Sam. The two were almost outside the city. "Not yet, I want to try and create my spells. I was able to make one but getting enough firepower was heard." "Circle magic lacks firepower. Just get three skill tomes for firepower and try to learn lightning attribute and ice attribute. You can modify and make them your new spells later." Carnage took Sam towards a tome shop right next to the city gate. "Without sufficient firepower, you won't be able to kill things fast enough." Carnage left walking towards the restaurant on the opposite side leaving Sam to find the spell tomes suitable for him himself.
The skill tome shop had racks of scrolls and tomes placed all over. Each rack was sorted based on the attribute, element and tier of the circle spell.
"Young master. How can I help you?" Asked the elderly shopkeeper standing beside the counter. Sam approached the man and asked for lightning and ice spells a tier 1 mage could use.
"Tier 1 lightning and Ice spells? We do have a few but I'm not certain if you have sufficient mana to use it. The lightning bolt and ice shard spells are powerful enough to penetrate any enemy under tier 5 but they both cost a lot more man than the flame blast spell."
"I have around 100 mana. It will be fine." The man left to the back and took out two spell circles from a vault. The skill tomes both had a purple hue and a dim glow. "These are the only tier 1 lightning and ice spells available here. They are too rare, especially to get a tier 1 spell."

"Got the spells?" Lord Carnage was sitting on a stool enjoying the view the balcony gave. There was a mug of cheap beer on the railing. Without the dress of a noble and his aura hidden, no one could recognise this tier 10 quester sitting on the balcony sipping a cold beer. "They weren't cheap," Sam said standing beside him.
"The waiter has a few potions prepared. Go collect it. I don't want to starve in the dungeon." Carnage got up from the stool and walked towards the front door. Sam went to the counter to collect the order.
Ever since the dungeons opened the lifestyle changed for the people. It was now almost impossible to sit back and drive in a car. Most of the major cities banned cars. With people capable of travelling and teleporting around the vehicles simply took too much space. This also helped to build more buildings closer. The cities gradually became smaller taking ease of access into consideration.

Walking out the city gates, a gentle cold breeze caressed them. The north gate led to the northern highways which connected Qwakamolly to Hampshrine. The Horned Beast dungeon that they planned to raid was closer to Hampshrine City. The city was shrouded in a cold mist with most of its income coming from the nearby dungeon. Hampshrine is the major city in the area, with a few smaller townships around.
"Stay close to me. I'm going to activate a shift to Hampshrine." Sam stood closer to Carnage as he activated a magic circle drawing in the air. The circle was too complex for Sam but he recognised five cores surrounding the centre instead of a single core centre. As Carnage completed the circle, Sam felt a little warmth. He felt dizzy and a little too bright forcing him to shut his eyes. For a second he felt the ground give away and fell on his back. The ground felt wet and the air cold. Sam opened his eyes to see a snow-covered path ahead.
Hampshrine City was decent in size with two major hospitals and a small university. The residents around the city were mostly cleaners who depended on the dungeon. The surrounding towns used Hampshrine as their main trading hub.
Lord Carnage took Sam inside through the south gate. The city had a lot more commoners walking around. "Does the city guards not stop commoners from entering?" Sam was curious. Qwakamolly never allowed commoners to enter without a permit. Hampshrine had a lot of commoners working, selling and buying dungeon drops.
"The place is mostly occupied by commoners. The entire town depends on the dungeon for sustenance." Lord Carnage told Sam. Sam had rarely left the Blue Hills region. In his little town, it was normal for most people to be either novels or high-class merchants. Commoners were early seen apart from the few that entered to sell or those that were employed by the nobles.
Lord Carnage walked into a fairly busy inn. The innkeeper rose her head from behind the counter to look at the new arrival. "Little Bai!" She screamed excited, dropping the beer mug on the counter rushing towards Lord Carnage for a tight hug.

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
