《Immutable》Prologue

A long, long time ago. In the range of 100,000 years or so, back when Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens both wandered the world. There was a man, let's call him Jeremy for continuity. Jeremy was a tribesman living in what is now known as Switzerland.
One day he and his tribe were hunting wild boar, and as they were creeping through the forest, Jeremy suddenly had a strange feeling, like a storm was coming, but the sky was clear. As he ignored the feeling to concentrate on the hunt, there was a loud crack, followed by a flash.
The rest of the tribesmen thought that lightning had struck, but Jeremy was nowhere to be found, a few seconds later, he appeared in another, quieter flash of light.
As the tribe and Jeremy were confused and trying to figure out what was going on, a boar that had been scared and enraged but the noise came running at them, and Jeremy, who at this point was extremely disoriented from everything, didn't notice and was attacked.
He suffered a gash across his leg, and fell, where the boar attacked again and opened his stomach. Finally, while the boar was distracted by attacking, the tribe came together and killed the boar. Now, the tribe and Jeremy had seen boar attacks before, and they knew that a stomach wound was fatal, so they knew that Jeremy wasn't going to make it. So, they brought him back to the village, more of a clearing surrounding a cave, to say goodbye to his wife and kids, and the rest of the tribe.
After some time had passed, with his family and himself weeping and spending time together, eventually, a few days later, Jeremy realized he wasn't hurting anymore, also his strength was starting to come back. With a cry of joy, he leaped up and showed his family that he was fine. Everybody was shocked and confused.

The shaman, seeing something truly miraculous for the first time in his life, was quick to say that the spirits had helped. Being that these were very primitive people, that believed that everything that happened was under the control of the spirits, just took it as natural.
Life went back to normal for Jeremy and his tribe. Years passed. elders died, new people were born, the cycle of life. After a good number of years had gone by, Jeremy and others were starting to notice that Jeremy wasn't aging at all.
His kids had by this point become adults and were starting to look older than him. The tribe and the shaman conclude that he had been blessed by the spirits, so naturally, they made him the leader of the tribe, under the shaman of course.
Under the leadership of Jeremy, the tribe prospered, their leader was an old man with wisdom, but the energy and strength of a much younger man. He was always leading the hunts, and sometimes he was injured, and he always healed up in a few days, even for the worst of wounds.
The tribe saw a population growth because Jeremy was quick to get in front of wild animals to save his tribesmen, so there were a lot fewer deaths from hunting, and a lot more food, for bad times.
And time marched on. His first wife eventually grew old and passed on, along with his children. After mourning a good amount of time, he found a new wife, and the cycle continued, for countless years. At one point almost everyone in the tribe was his descendant, except for when a new person come from outside the tribe for various reasons.
They didn't know anything about gene pools, and interbreeding problems so it wasn't even a passing thought. Everything was great for Jeremy's Tribe as it was now known. Then one day, Jeremy was leading a group of hunters as usual, when they were surrounded by another tribe.

This tribe had grown jealous of the prosperity that Jeremy's tribe had achieved, and if they could wipe them out, they could take the territory, that they thought was the reason for the good luck Jeremy's tribe had.
So, they came in mass and fought, but Jeremy's tribe wasn't expecting a war, they had gotten used to the easy life, and not having to fight for resources, so they were quickly dispatched. Everyone was killed and knowing that Jeremy could heal from anything they knocked him unconscious and proceeded to take his head.
After a while, Jeremy woke up in the middle of a sea of bodes, disoriented and weak. After he took a look around, he started to remember what had happened, but he had been sure that he was dead this time, he felt them cut off his head before nothing. After remembering what the other tribe had told him about taking their territory, he became worried, so he rushed back to the village.
By the time he had gotten there, it was too late, his tribe had been massacred. It had been a couple of weeks at least since he had "died'. Everyone was dead, they spared no one, wanting to make sure they erased his whole tribe.
Jeremy became overwrought with grief and rage and went in search of the other tribe. Eventually, he found them, celebrating, and getting ready to move to their new territory. And he attacked and started killing them, and they fought back, he was one man, and not a match for a whole tribe, but every time he died, he would come back, and find them again and start killing again.
The other tribe was starting to get scared because they had never experienced anything like this before. Usually, when u kill an enemy, they stay dead. But not Jeremy, even when they burned his body, and chopped him into pieces, he always came back weeks later. So, after a time of endless killing and dying, Jeremy finally had his revenge.
But now he was left with nothing, no family no tribe. he was truly alone in the world, so after trying to end himself in multiple ways, he just kept waking up, perfectly fine. Eventually, he just started wandering the world, with no goal.
Time marched on, sometimes Jeremy would interact with the world again, sometimes he would stay alone in the wilderness for uncountable years, like this years turned to decades, turned to centuries, turned to millennia.
Eventually, the world started to progress, civilization came around, and Jeremy started to get back into being social, because at heart he was a tribesman, so he was always looking for a new "tribe to be a part of.
On and on, he went through history, watching empires rise and fall, meeting new people, and leaving when they started to fear him for not aging. Because most people didn't believe in the spirits and shamans anymore, so he learned to hide his unnatural lifespan and would move on whenever it became noticeable.
And now we have gotten to modern times, Jeremy was very practiced with learning new cultures whenever he rejoined the world after countless years by himself. So, we start his story after he had found that his long life had given him an advantage in history, so he decided to become an archaeologist. For a while anyway.

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again! Earth's First Dungeon
Reginald Montgomery was a high class Rules Lawyer, specializing in the 'art' of Min-Maxing a Character. He had been the secret behind the ability of the Guild 'Eternal Gamer' being able to obtain the World First Clears of various MMOs for the last five years. The political entities of the world had hidden the imminent approach of a gigantic meteor, of similar size to the one that theoretically wiped out the dinosaurs, until it was able to be spotted by high powered astronomical telescopes. The United Nations sends nukes into a crater located deep on the meteor, breaking it into millions of smaller fragments, except for around two areas, where there was a building that looked like an old school Roman temple and one where there was a giant metallic cube. The cube crashed into Reginald's backyard, and his 'gamer' senses were itching at the chance of supremely valuable loot. Upon investigating, he is injected with a control crystal for a 'Construction Core', but when it releases an extremely high density of pressurized mana, his body seizes up and the Core draws his mind into it before merging the control crystal back into the Core and retreating into the Cube and digging itself deeper. Two months later, Reginald becomes aware again, only to find out that nothing is as it was and he is now the Earth's First Dungeon...
