Adara had waited for Akilah outside of the room, as soon as Akilah came out, Adara jumped out of her seat.
“How did it go?” Adara asked, sounding surprisingly exited.
“Um well they agreed to the deal…Kind of” Akilah answered.
“What’s wrong? What do you mean ‘kind of’” Adara asked, her chipper tone had switched to one of worry.
“Nothing is wrong per say” Akilah said and motioned for them to start walking “It's just that we things didn't go exactly as planned”.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Well I got a favor for favor deal”
“Favor what favor?” Adara asked
What do you mean Adara asked worried before putting her hands on both of Akilah’s shoulders and bring her to a standstill “Aki explain properly, what happened?” she said firmly.
Akilah sighed and removed her hand before talking “Essentially I'll have my favor granted as long as I do a favor for the king” she said and looked up with Adara, noticing that she wouldn't be satisfied with her reply “Era is set to arrive with the eastern empires ruler”
“What? Why?” Adara almost shouted out
“Well our failed trip to Leer Graves apparently gave the emperor the impression that this kingdom and its new king are weak. Therefore the king has sent and invention to show the emperor the kingdoms strength…And Era will be following along on that trip, with some other merchant. The emperor says it’s a way to help the kingdom rise but in actuality it’s just a way to mock the king and kingdom for not being able to ‘catch their own pray”
Adara nodded along with everything Akilah said, she was listening diligently
“Well when the emperor arrives there will be a banquet, and the king has invited me to be there, as entertainment”

“Entertainment” Adara asked confused
“I’ll be there showing my skills, the king said that he would stage some swordsmanship fight as a sign of strength”
Adara sighed heavily, Akilah knew that she disapproved of that part.
“And while after I’ve done my end of the bargain, the king will do his and point me to Era” Akilah said and started walking again.
“And what will you do then” Adara said
Akilah turned around and saw that Adara was still standing at the same spot. Akilah sighed and turned back around
“You know what I’ll do”
Adara quickly walked up to Akilah “But Aki do you really need to do that. I mean-”
Akilah interrupted her before she could even finish her sentence “Adara I’ve literally killed hundred to get here, what would one more life do?” She said with anger in her voice
“I’m not discussing this nor am I asking for you permission” Akilah continued “I didn’t sacrifice everything to just give up now” and with that she walked away towards the door they had entered through. Before exiting she turned towards Adara, still standing on the spot she had left her in
“Are you coming or not”
Adara stayed still for a moment before sighing heavily and walking towards her.
“By the way Adara, have you met the king before?” Akilah asked all of a sudden
“The king? No I haven’t” Adara replied taken back “Why?”
Akilah hesitated “The king was oddly keen on me bringing a companion to the banquet. I was just wondering if he might have seen you with me”
Adara shook her head “No, I’ve never seen him”
Akilah shrugged “Well then he might have just suggested that so that I’ll be hesitant before doing something crazy at the banquet”
“Yes, might be” Adara replied.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

Birth of an AntiHero
AntiHero's FIRST REWRITE IN THE WORKS - thanks!! :] EDIT 2/28/22 - sorry, health problems right now, but I will post after rewriting the first 80-90,000 words or so and start fresh from there! Expect the change to be uploaded before summer! So long as I can keep using my hands, that is~! ^_^ X] This story will indeed get fleshed out as my vision improves for the better. But I feel the need to emphasize that a lot of parts are written in improvised comic book format as my primary writing style, and this first book is actually the entry point and starting novel for an entire very vast series I am in the works of developing. Many side characters here will eventually be main characters with there own stories; long or short. But this one particularly will be focused and centralized around Noel. Because of this, I do plan to leave the introduction for side characters as still having a special flow for readers to witness a tad of their background, so keep that in mind after my 'obviously many' rewrites from now and going into the future! Sorry for the troubles! I will improve on my style and implementation of the story!(Although I DO plan to keep parts as 'play style' or rather, comic book style, since I find it easier for certain dialogue instances as well as the fact that the novel is inspired by that 'feeling' you get while reading comic books. But my style is still evolving, you were warned!) Thank you! - Noel Tyler Malierano. He's the youngest 'son' to receive approval from 'The Malierano Family': A Criminal Organization of hitmen and hitwomen that specialize in killing, even maintaining success within a vastly superpowered society. Noel finally manages to complete his training as the newest 'Elite' killer his family created...but, there's just one problem - He doesn't want to kill! Come along and delve into a society of conflicting morals through the eyes of a boy, desperately searching for a new path to follow. Can he even manage to free himself from his father's engrained teachings and ideals? Conversely, will killing prove a lot more difficult to ignore? --- --> Thank you very much for reading! It would be helpful for me if you all consider leaving me a comment or an inbox suggestion, a review or even a full rating wherever AND whenever you believe I need to improve on anything or if something I wrote irked you! I appreciate EVERYONE that comes to read my story, however I DO want to improve my work as a writer. I hope all of you who don't like my work will let me know somehow, so I can edit and IMPROVE my story as a whole! Thank you everyone for your time! --- JUST TO NOTE!! When a character has a cultural name like, say, a Japanese or Russian name, that is because that character IS Japanese or Russian! They don't have to be FULL of one ethnicity either - sometimes they will be mixed. This story mainly takes place on an artificial continent where all countries have sent over their respective talents, meaning characters of ALL cultures and ethnic backgrounds will show hints of that in their names. Please don't assume I'm just randomly naming characters names that don't match them. And feel free to talk to me about whatever in my story troubles you - no matter how small! I love to improve. ^-^ X] --- Just to note: Characters will slowly grow as time passes. Slow pace. THANKS for reading! Enjoy! :] --- Decided to post 2 chapters every Tuesday and Friday instead of taking a small break, but I MAY upload once in a while on different days, such as Sundays, in addition to those two. :]
