In the darkness of night, the flame was very eye-catching. On their way back, they met Leng Yunche, who came to check what had happened. Hei Yu couldn’t wait to describe the bloody scene they had witnessed. Indifferent as Leng Yehan was, he could not help but burn with indignation.

“Let’s kill them.”

On their way back, Leng Yehan suddenly said. Yun Che looked at him in surprise. Then he stared at the night sky and gave an irrelevant answer: “It seems that it’s getting colder.”

Yun Che didn’t explain much and walked faster. When they went back to the gas station, Xing Feng and others were already waiting outside. They had sensed something.

“We are leaving. Will you join us?”

“Alright.”

Xing Feng answered without hesitation. He immediately sent Yang Huaien and another subordinate out to reconnoitre. It would be dangerous to go to town at midnight. They had to find another place to stay and wait till daybreak.

Yun Yao, Zhan Yafei and Chen Chen were sleeping in the corner. Zhou Zeyu and Lu Haixuan were leaning against the wall, each carrying a knife. Sensing that someone was approaching, the four adults all opened their eyes at once. Yun Che smiled and waved, gesturing to them that there was nothing serious. He briefly gave some orders to Zhou Zeyu in a very low voice. Then he crept to Chen Chen and carried him in his arms. Chen Chen was still sleeping soundly.

“Uh...Uncle...Sleepy...”

Chen Chen murmured in a trance. He opened his eyes and rubbed them. Yun Che put a soother in his mouth and said: “ We will find another place and sleep there.”

Chen Chen mumbled and fell asleep again.

“Yun Che, hurry up. The zombies are coming.”

Not until Xing Feng said this did Lu Haixuan and his partners realize what had happened. Yun Che quickly tied Chen Chen to himself with a strap: “Let’s go.”

The woman screamed and rushed at other people. However, others had already moved backwards to keep away from her.

Yun Che dashed out without hesitation, so did others.

“No! Don’t! Don’t leave me here! Please!”

The men were slapping the women and the women kept screaming, but they now had nothing to do with Yun Che and his companions. However, it was too late. The zombies were crowding into the gas station for they had smelled living people. Lu Haixuan, Leng Yehan and the two subordinates of Xing Feng made a big stride forward, sheltering Yun Che and others.

“What are you waiting for? Get on the car!”

The SUV stopped before them after a violent rush and a sharp turn. Zhou Zeyu opened the door, and others hurriedly got into it.

“Ouch!”

Chen Chen cried with pain in Yun Che’s arms.

“What’s wrong, Chen Chen?”

“Mom...It hurts...”

Yun Yao looked at Chen Chen worriedly. Chen Chen, tears in his eyes, was kneading the back of his head. It seemed that his head got struck in their hurry just now. Yun Che felt very sorry and said: “Chen Chen, it’s all my fault. I will be more careful next time. Could you stop crying? There are many bad people outside.”

Chen Chen hesitated for a while. Then he nodded and put his hands over his mouth, eyes glistening with tears of grievances.

“Zhou Zeyu, turn off the engine. We’d better avoid a head-on collision.”

Yun Che lovingly caressed Chen Chen’s head. Then he said to Zhou Zeyu in a deep voice. Zhou Zeyu turned off the engine silently though he didn’t know the reason, for he believed in him completely.

“Hoo...”

The zombies smelt that there were living people in the car, and they were about to pounce on it. Yun Che raised his hand, then the car was wrapped in an invisible protective film made of air. Suddenly losing the clue of their prey, the zombies were stupefied. After a while, they changed the target and rushed towards the house not far away.

With zombie passing by, the people in the car all held their breath. Not until they made sure that the zombies couldn’t find them did they heave a sigh of relief.

Everyone began to stare at Yun Che curiously except Zhou Zeyu, who had already known Yun Che’s power before. They knew that it must be Yun Che who had protected them by instinct.

“It’s just air superfunction.”

Yun Che directly told them. He sat down, still transferring air to maintain the film.

A man with two systems of superfunction?

Everyone was startled. They had known his thunder-system superfunction before, but what he showed just now was air-system superfunction. Men with two systems of superfunction were very rare, not to say the two systems Yun Che had were both of high combat effectiveness. Even Xing Feng was surprised.

Leng Yehan and his companions were more astonished, for they knew that Yun Che also had space-system superfunction. That was to say, Yun Che was a man with three systems of superfunction!

Blood-curdling screams and curses of the people inside the house mixed with the roars of the zombies brought them back to reality. The zombies were slaughtering. Driven by the strong smell of blood, the zombies outside flocked into the house. With less and less zombies outside, Yun Che silently beckoned to Zhou Zeyu to start the car.

Escaping from the jaws of zombies, one of Xing Feng’s subordinates muttered.

“Those people deserve it.”

After maintaining the air film for such a long time, Yun Che was a little tired. Yun Yao looked at him worriedly, then she undid the strap and carried Chen Chen in her arms: “Take a rest. The zombies are all in the station now.”

Yun Yao felt very sad and blamed herself. Her superfunction couldn’t help her to fight, so she couldn’t help Yun Che at all.

Yun Che nodded and withdraw the air film. Then he leaned his head on her shoulder. See that, Xing Feng beckoned to Yun Yao to exchange seats with him. He sat besides Yun Che and naturally held him in his arms.

“Ha ha, are you rewarding me for saving you just now?”

Yun Che smiled tiredly, eyes closed. He didn’t refuse him.

“Not just for that. We also have to depend on you on the way to the base. I am flattering a man with two systems of superfunction.”

Xing Feng smiled back. Yun Che could always amaze him, and two systems of superfunction was absolutely another amazement.

“Do you need to depend on me?”

A powerful man like Xing Feng needed to depend on others? Nonsense.

“I really need your protection. I was powerful before, but now I am like a suitcase with space superfunction. I cannot fight at all.”
