Questions and answers
Keiichi took Toki Sakata to an abandoned factory. He would rip out all the answers this guy had.
"What do you intend to do to me?" Toki Sakata was confused to see that Keiichi had brought him to an abandoned place.
"I ask and you answer, just like that."
"What do you do for a living?"
"W-Why do you want to know this-"
*BOOMM!*
Keiichi cast a beam of flames at Toki Sakata's side.
"I'm-I-I'm a former member of the Blood Sect. Alchemist. I'm 28 years old." Toki Sakata responded hastily.
Keiichi took a good look at Toki Sakata's face to make sure he wasn't lying.
"What do you know about the Otake family murder in 2010."
"The-Otake family murder?..." Toki Sakata was confused by Keiichi's question. Why did he want to know about this?
Keiichi was about to shoot another beam of flame, but Toki Sakata decided to speak.
"W-Well, I remember that a famous assassin ended up passing through Sulivan City(where Keiichi lives) in 2010. As far as I know, this assassin was responsible for the murder of the Otake family."
Toki Sakata knew this information because this so-called assassin had contact with the leader of the Blood Sect. Toki Sakata was an important member of the Sect, so he had inside information.
"What else?" Keiichi wanted more information.
"H-He's part of some organization. He also seems like an extremely lunatic guy." Toki Sakata got chills to remember that man. He was crazy, but around someone like that man, he was a saint.
"That's all I know."
Keiichi closed his eyes with a thoughtful expression. This information was shallow, but it is useful. Now he had some extra clue.
"Now answer me, what was your Sect doing? Was that a ritual?" He was confused when he saw that.
"..." Toki Sakata was silent.
"Speak up! And don't try to lie to me. I'll kill you if you do."

"T-They were trying to do a demonic ritual. I don't know why they're doing it. They locked me in a room and forced me to make a strange potion."
"Demonic ritual?..."
'So that creature is a demon?'
"Now tell me about the other sects. How many are there? How strong are they?"
"..." Toki Sakata didn't understand the purpose of Keiichi's questions. Wasn't he a cultivator? Why didn't he know about the other sects?
"In the Nuclea Federation (Keiichi country), we have 5 great sects, they are: Blue Dragon Sect, Blood Sect, Sect of the Holy Sky, Sect of Thousand Blades and Sect of Miracles."
"The Sect of Blood and the Sect of Miracles is the weakest. The Sect of the Blue Dragon and the Sect of the Holy Sky are the strongest. The Sect of the Thousand Blades is in between."
"I see…" Keiichi didn't expect that there would be so many sects.
Keiichi asked some more questions for Toki Sakata. After gaining enough information, he thought about letting Toki Sakata go.
'Kill him.'
"Huh?!" Keiichi was startled to hear Yato's voice in his head.
'Kill him, he will cause you problems.' Yato said, by telepathy.
'What the hell? He lied to me?'
'No. Everything he said is true.' Yato confirmed that Toki Sakata had not lied.
'Then why are you telling me to kill him?' Keiichi was confused.
'Because he will be an obstacle in your way.'
'Obstacle?' Keiichi thought Yato was talking about Toki Sakata wanting to try to do something against him in the future.
'This guy can't hurt me, I won't kill him.' Keiichi refused to kill Toki Sakata.
'Don't be an idiot, boy. Just kill him soon, it's not like he's some saint.'
'You talk like people's lives are worthless!'
'To me, the life of this thing is not worth 0.00000001% of my time.'
'Thing?' Keiichi clenched his fists.

'Do you think I'll fulfill your demands?!'
'...'
'I'm not forcing you to do anything. I'm giving you some advice.'
'Tsk! Screw it.'
'...Don't regret it later, brat.'
"What happened-"
"Get out of my way."
Toki Sakata got up and ran as fast as he could.
*Sigh!*
Keiichi decided to return home. He was really stressed out.
-
"Are you sure you'll let him do this?" Yerin asked Yato.
"He does what he wants, I won't make him do anything that is outside the terms of the system." When Keiichi agreed to the system, he also agreed to fulfill the requests the system made. However, Yato wouldn't use this to order him around.
"Let him do what he wants." Yato looked at the screen in front of him. The screen showed Toki Sakata committing mass murder, rape, cannibalism, torture, etc.
He wasn't telling Keiichi to kill him because Toki Sakata was evil or something. Yato didn't give a shit what Toki Sakata did or will do.
If someone posed an imminent deadly threat to Keiichi in his current state, he would simply kill that person. Be it gods, humans, abstractions, or concepts. None of that mattered. If Keiichi died, his fun was over. He could revive it if that happened, but it would still be a game-over.
'A game-over means a failure.'
If this flaw didn't serve to improve Keiichi in some way, he would simply eliminate it.
'I wonder when the time comes for you to fend for yourself, would you do it, brat?' He wouldn't help him forever. The time would come when Keiichi would be on his own.
At the present time, Keiichi and Sakura had a conviction that everything could be resolved with his help, and indeed, it could. However, Yato would not help them forever.
'Would this be the hard mode of the game? Mortals call it that.'
Everything turned out to be more interesting with questions. If he wanted all his questions answered, he would know everything about the game. That wouldn't be any fun.
'They are too relaxed, I wonder what would happen if I suddenly disappeared.' That would be interesting to see.
...
When the next screen was shown, a man in a black overcoat was standing next to Toki Sakata. Toki Sakata seemed to be extremely scared to see that man there.
"Well." Yato snuggled into his throne and closed his eyes.
"Master, you look quite a villain right now." Yerin said as he massaged her shoulder.
Yato showed a smile.
"How long has it been since I played the hero?" Yato asked the question even though he knew the answer.
"Master, tell me one of your stories." Yerin always liked to hear Yato's stories.
Yato looked at Yerin with a smile.
"Come here." He picked her up and put her in his lap.
Yerin snuggled into his chest and prepared to hear the story. The warmth of Yato's embrace made her feel loved. The man in front of her, who many said did not know the word love, was loving her. She could feel it.
Yerin knew Yato very well, he didn't give a shit about other people who weren't of interest to her. Maybe this isn't the prince on the white horse that many women dream of, but for her, Yato is perfect.
"This story starts with a boy who only watched anime and a truck." Yato said, with a smile.
-
"Miss…" The woman watched the entire Sect of blood that had been destroyed with a thoughtful expression.
The girl narrowed her eyes when she saw a remnant of green flame on the ground.
"Let's go back. Warn all the sects that the blood sect... no longer exists." This situation could cause an uproar.
'Where are you?' The girl thought of Keiichi.

The Patchwork Realms
Athos is a good dog. He likes frisbee, bacon, and his family (SmolFriend, Mom, and Dad). He's not so keen on falling through an interdimensional portal to a fantasy world where floating boxes tell you that you've just been given status as the 'Supreme Exemplar' of your species, a powerful package of abilities that includes human-level intelligence. Sure, being smart is nice but less so when it comes with the need to survive in a land made from bits of different dimensions stitched together like patches in a quilt. A thousand species, a thousand lands, sorcery and super science rubbing elbows, wars and intrigue everywhere...it's exhausting for a good dog who just wants to go home! Note that this is a work in progress with lots of fiddly numbers so I will occasionally need to go back and fix errors, and this might affect events of earlier chapters. I'll try to keep this to a minimum and will post a note whenever it happens. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
