《True Essence》I was so worried

Gen then closed his eyes and breathed for a few seconds, and then he opened them and took his hands off the ground at the same time. The moment he took his hands off the ground, all the frejars managed to get out of the place again, some went towards him and the vast majority went towards Raja and the rest of the people. When Gen saw this he brought his hands together close to his body, with one palm up and the other palm down, so that the palms were touching, and the fingers of each hand were touching the other's wrist, and then he said, "Come back here!", and then he rotated his hands horizontally, keeping his palms flat against each other, so that after he finished rotating, their position was reversed, with the one on top now down, and the one below now up.
Soon after he finished the movement, he separated his hands, and where he had joined them, there were now two circles on top of each other, a few centimeters apart. He then said, "Go down.", and then the two circles came down to the ground, and then he said, "Endless vortex.". Right after he said this, the two circles started to spin in opposite directions, and all the frejars started coming towards them, and no matter how hard they ran, they couldn't stop approaching. Some then gave up running, and started heading towards Gen, and as he saw this he started running towards Raja, with each step he took making him run a few meters. After a while he arrived in front of Raja, and when he turned back he saw that almost all the frejars were together, and then he said, "Now Raja.", and Raja said, "I know.", and then he threw the huge fireball at them.
The frejars then kept trying to get out of where they were, but no matter how hard they ran, they couldn't get out of there. They were all together being pulled to where the two circles were, up to the point where, the fireball fell on them. "Boom!", the fireball made a big noise as it hit the ground, and right after that, a wave of heat came and went through all the people, even burning some of them. Seeing this Raja thought, 'Looks like I overdid the show, the fireball was stronger than I expected', and then he said, "That's it Gen, I doubt any of them survived that.", Gen then said, "Great, now we can move on.", he then took a canteen from his waist and started to drink some water, when suddenly he heard someone say, "Gen? Is that you?"

Gen then turned toward the voice, and when he saw who it was, he almost spit out his water. He then swallowed it hurriedly and said, "Joru!", Joru then said, "It really is you Gen.". When they were almost facing each other, Joru said, "Good Gen, I thought you were dead. You don't know how sad I was to hear ..." Joru then suddenly punched Gen in the face, and then continued, "That I could never give you that punch!" Gen had taken a few steps back and then said, "What was that Joru? Why did you punch me?", "Why?! I'll tell you why! You don't know what me and Stanley ... Stanley!"
Joru then continued, "Gen you have to help Stanley.", Gen then asked, "Is Stanley here too? Where is he? Did something happen to him?", "He's here too, but he went that way with Lina and the leader of the adventurer's guild.", "Lina's here too?!", "Yes, you need to go fast.", "Why do you say that? By the group you told me about, they won't have a problem dealing with a few frejars.", "The problem is that there aren't a few. There are five red diamond frejars, and three awakened frejars with them.", "What?! Three awakened frejars?!", Gen then turned to Raja and said, "Raja-", and then Raja said, "I know, I heard everything he said. Let's hurry up before something bad happens.", "Yes, let's go. Just let me get Scar."
Gen then went towards Scar, and after picking her up he said, "Let's go.", and then he and Raja began to cross the desert quickly. Seeing Gen walking away Joru thought, 'Looks like Gen managed to conquer the ruins, and even came back from there with an essence. Now the question is whether he will make it back alive after meeting with Lina. I hope so, one punch wasn't enough to take away my anger.', Gen and Raja continued for a while in the direction Joru had told them about, and after a few minutes of running, they began to see some people in combat with a group of frejars, and then Gen said, "That must be them, let's speed up.", "Okay.", Raja said, and then the two of them tightened their pace.

...
"Damn.", Stanley said. It hadn't even been two weeks since he had reached red diamond rank, and he was already having to face three frejars of the same rank as him, but unfortunately he couldn't complain, because of the three that were present, he was the one with the easiest job. The guild leader was an awakened one, and was dealing with one awakened frejar, and two red diamond frejars, and Lina, was dealing with two awakened frejars on her own. The two with her being clearly stronger than the one with the guild leader. Stanley then thought, 'What bad luck. They had to attack the city just at the moment Miss Anna and Mr. Balkan are away.'
Stanley then continued to hold the three frejars, running and defending himself. After a few minutes of this, one of the frejars passed by his defense, and was about to hit him, but at this moment a very weak light appeared and deflected the attack. This was repeated several times, and each time it happened, Stanley became more and more tired. He then thought, 'It looks like I can't take much more of this, but I should be happy now. If it weren't for the fact that the understanding I have is of a defensive essence, I would have fallen a long time ago.'. He then continued this way for a while, until one of the times when the light activated, his leg failed, and he then fell to his knees on the ground. The frejars wasted no time, and came at him, and he then thought, 'So this is how it ends.'
Stanley was about to be bitten by one of the frejars, when suddenly, a copy of himself came out from where he was lying, and started going in one direction. The frejars then followed this copy, until a moment when a blond man appeared in front of his copy, and grabbed it by the neck. The light that had been defending him appeared again, only this time stronger, but to no avail as the man simply waved his hand, and it dissipated into dust. He then broke the neck of Stanley's copy, and then bit it, ripping off a piece of its flesh and swallowing it without chewing, he then licked the blood that had fallen on his face and went towards the frejars. They were extremely uncomfortable seeing this, and activated their half essence to face the man who was coming towards them.
Stanley was extremely terrified even though he knew it wasn't really him, and then he thought, 'What the hell is going on? Who is this person? Although, now that I'm paying more attention, he doesn't seem so strange, have I seen him somewhere before?', Stanley thought for a while until he thought, 'I remember, that's Raja! What is he doing here? I thought he was in Diton.', Stanley continued watching Raja, when suddenly he heard from his side a familiar voice asking, "Which way is Lina?", Stanley turned to the direction of the voice, and seeing who it was said, "Gen! You're alive!", Gen then said, "Let's leave the conversation for later Stanley, which way is Lina?"
Stanley then stood up and said, "She is in that direction.", Gen then said, "Ok. I'll go there then, every second counts.", but before he could take a step Stanley said, "Gen calm down, at least give me a hug. You don't know how worried I was ...", Stanley then approached Gen, and when he got close enough he threw a punch in his direction, but Gen was already expecting it and dodged the punch saying, "Too bad for you Stanley. I met with Joru before I came here. So I was expecting this to happen, but I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I guess it wasn't necessary.". Gen then started to go in the direction Stanley had pointed, and Stanley then said, "Wait Gen, let me at least punch you!", but Gen ignored him and went on his way. Stanley then thought, 'Damn, I missed my only chance to punch him! Lina sure as hell isn't going to let him come back from there alive.'

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun. Demonizing Matters
A high fantasy drama about a young woman who finds out a demon secret. This secret sparks a growing conflict between demons and humans. While trying to save her own life and dealing with the unexpected consequences of her actions, she falls in love with a hated demon. We follow the drama of Lita, alongside a cast of several other POV characters, as she discovers secrets (both open and purposefully hidden), makes well intentioned but sometimes disastrous decisions, and encounters prejudices and truths. Demons may be evil… or not. Humans may be good… or not. God is aloof… or not. Publishing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is my first real work! Super excited to be publishing! I don’t spend a lot of time describing gore, sex, trauma or any other type of scene that would be labeled as mature. I've labeled the story as mature in every way more because I don't quite understand the standard and don't know if I've crossed the line at all (and I'd rather be safe than get my story rejected for under labeling ;)). Mostly I hint, start the scene then interrupt/fade out, and in general let the reader know it happens but without making it too explicit. (I’d love to hear how I did on this! And if it was still entertaining/informative without being traumatizing.) This is what I prefer to read myself so that’s what I write. I’m not apologizing. ;) If I mislabeled my mature content it was by accident. And, yes, the pacing was also on purpose. Beyond that, I welcome any feedback you want to give! Enjoy the story!

The Everyday Life of A Pathfinder
Pathfinders are people who are respected and revered, not because of power or might, but because of knowledge of the world. They are the peacekeepers between humans and nature. Guiding humans through the most dangerous areas known to man and killing any species which attempts to throw off the balance of the natural world. This is their job - and their passion. *** Note: This story is going to have a few generic elements in it, like fantasy setting, guilds, cursing and stuff like that. A few (a lot) of things it won’t have is: Overly bloody descriptions, I don’t need to have enough buckets of gore to fill a ballroom for people to get that guy is defiantly dead; Rape, I don’t like it and it’s honestly painful writing that stuff; Harems, fuck harems; Overpowered MC, EVER; Game elements/ transported to another world, overused as shit; “I’m out for revenge”, no one cares; “My village was burned down and everyone died ;-;”, yeah you and the other 60% of the population; A lot of overly dramatic events, Drama has its time and place to be impactful, so you need to use it sparingly so when you do it’s special; “I’m going to stab you because I’m CrAZy, I believe that everyone has a reason for what they do, sometimes the reason is because they’re fucking insane, but I’m still not going to write things like that; Generic fantasy creatures, I’m tired of hearing about the fucking mystical dragons or the god damn slimes, so I’m going to create my own monster. Also feel free to roast. I don't get offended easily and it's honestly one of the best ways to increase writing abilites.
