《Defeat the Overlord》The War for the Future

The World of Ebeisia
Thunder rolled and fire poured as something shrouded the entire world in bat-black clouds.
Cries of pain and the scream of agonies filled the air as the blade and sword clashed with each other.
While limbs, heads, and bones are strewn about, it filled the entire world with the stench of blood and feces.
It was the scene of absolute carnage.
This was the war, the war for the future of the world.
With one side filled with an endless sea of monsters, dark creatures, witches, goblins, ogres, and abominations, the other side was an army of Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and other races, defending the last line of Defense for the Temple of Nefetera.
The earth shook with each step of Titans and Golems slaughtering their way to the Temple.
.....
Temple of Nefetera: Goddess of Time and Life.
Many figures were standing on the temple's outer wall.
"This will not do, this will not do. We must kill that cretin." An irritated voice filled the air as a bare-chested, three-foot dwarf smashed a large hammer into the boulder. The boulder cracked before crumbling into the dust.
The dwarf's body was fully buffed, his red hair braided and his beard reaching his stomach. His eyes were squeezed thin, and he gripped his hammer tightly as he stared at the figure in the distance.
"We can't wait any longer; we have to act now." An elf, dressed in a white robe with his white hair neatly tied, with a beautifully sculpted face and two large, pointy ears, looked at the woman standing beside him.
The woman was dressed in a long green gown and held a staff made of a branch of the world tree with a green gem embedded in the middle. Her hair was blonde and neatly curled, and she had an oval face with a thin chin. Her lips were pursed, and her blue eyes were fixed on the carnage.
She was a human who served as the Priestess of the Temple of Nefetera. She was also known as the Holy Daughter.
Aside from the Elf and the Dwarf, the gazes of the others were also drawn to the Priestess.
But a frown appeared on Priestess's face as she looked around.
"Where is Slade?"
...
Amongst the chaos on the battlefield.
A massive abomination. Its body was pitch black with sharp nails in its large hands, and it had an enormous head with no eyes and sharp black teeth protruding from its mouth.
When viewed from a distance, the abomination appeared to be a massive gorilla standing on all four limbs.
One of its hands was pinning down a beautiful female elf who was bleeding profusely and struggling to breathe. Her one shoulder was almost amputated, and her helpless eyes stared at the abomination as if she had accepted her fate.
'GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR' The abomination roared and was about to tear the head of the elf.
But before it could do that, a figure appeared on its back. His face was obscured by a hood, and he was dressed in a black jacket and pants. His hand was armed with three razor-sharp claws that appeared to be on fire.

The abomination didn't even have a chance to react before its head was severed from its body and it faded into the darkness.
The elf's eyes were wide open, and the words caught in her throat. She wanted to thank the figure but couldn't. However, she soon noticed the figure vanish into thin air and mind went blank for a moment before she heaved and quickly poured a potion into her mouth and applied it to her wounds. Her wounds healed quickly as she stood up, picked up her bow, and continued fighting with the other dark creatures.
Throughout the battleground, that figure could be seen almost everywhere. Where ever he went, a dark creature would fade into darkness. He was like a harvester of soul or a reaper of death. He turned into the Dark Creatures' worst nightmare.
It didn't took long before the tide of the battle began to shift as that figure killed many dark creatures and abominations and saved many warriors.
The figure's body appeared out of thin air after some time. He was standing on a branch of a tree, his breath ragged as he looked out at the battlefield.
But all of a sudden, his heart shuddered and his body trembled as his gaze was drawn to an enormous ball of black fire falling towards the battlefield.
Not just him, everyone's attention was drawn to the enormous fireball, it was as if the war came to a halt.
Even the figures who had previously stood at the wall but had now joined the battlefield froze in their tracks, their jaws dropped as they stared at the black fireball falling from the sky.
As that black ball of fire hit the ground, it was as if time stood still for a split second. But then the world shook, and it devolved into an absolute Hell. Whether it was the army of darkness or the army of the temple, everyone burned to a crisp as soon as the fire touched them. They didn't even have time to scream before the they were evaporated.
And the impact was so powerful that even the temple's wall cracked, and the figure who was standing a long distance away was blown away, his body smashed against the mountains.
Dark red blood oozed out of mouth, his ears buzzed and his mind cluttered. He struggled to stand, but his steps staggered and he fell to the ground again.
The figure lay on the ground for a while before a green-colored potion appeared in his hand, which he quickly gulped.
But his body quivered as he heard a loud war cry.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
It was the war cry of the creature of darkness and abominations
The figure tried to stand up again, but his leg slipped, but he balanced himself, stood up, and ran to the vantage point to see what was going on.
His body rooted when he saw that the vast area of the battlefield had been charred black and empty, with not a speck of blood left behind.

On one side, an endless army of dark creatures marched, while on the other, only a few people remained, forming a defensive line against the approaching creatures.
It was then his gaze was drawn to a lone figure standing at the temple's wall, her staff glowed brightly, and a blanket of light engulfed the remaining forces of the temple.
His fists clenched as his attention shifted to the figure leading the army of the dark creatures.
It was the Dark General, who had a bulky build and was clad in gleaming black armor as he charged towards the temple on his skeletal horse.
The figure stood still as he looked up at the sky, no one knew what he was thinking as he exhaled a deep sigh and vanished into thin air.
.....
The ground shook as the hoof of the horses hit the ground. The Dark general led the army of the creatures and monsters to tear through the last line of defense of the temple.
But then a hooded figure appeared out of nowhere, and his red flaming claw beheaded the horse that was carrying the Dark General.
Caught off guard, the Dark General's burly body smashed to the ground.
The creatures that surrounded the General were startled for a split moment before pounced on the hooded figure.
But before they could approach the figure, he vanished into thin air.
A swarm of hooded figures suddenly surrounded the Dark General, who was struggling to stand. Everyone was holding a flaming claw in both hands as they attacked him from all sides.
The attacks were so quick that they couldn't be seen with the naked eye. However, it appeared that the Yellow ball of flame surrounded the Dark General.
Every dark creature came to a halt, their gaze fixed on the Dark General.
[Inside the Ball of Flame]
Even though the attacks seemed impossible to see. The Dark General blocked them with ease. It was at that time, his eyes behind the helmet shone with dark light, and he landed a powerful punch on one of the hooded figures.
The ball of flame vanished, and the body of a hooded figure was blown away and smashed to the ground. His body rolled for a few meters before coming to a halt.
He coughed up blood, as well as some damaged internal organs. He struggled to stand, but his attention was drawn to the Dark General, who walked slowly and stood in front of him.
He looked up to see the Dark General, who stood eight-foot-tall, while his full body was covered in shiny black armor, was looking at him with his eerie black eyes.
But then the Dark General grabbed the hooded figure's neck and lifted him into the air, while his other hand removed the hood of the figure.
The figure's face gradually emerged. He had long black hair that reached his shoulders, green eyes, and a handsome face with perfectly shaped jaws covered by a thin beard.
The man's face was pale as blood seeped from the corner of his mouth, but his eyes were calm as he stared at the Dark General.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Suddenly, the Dark General started laughing in his heavy voice before he came to a halt.
"You pesky rat. Don't think I don't know who you are. Slade Einar, the only assassin, was blessed by that bitch. Because of you, I had to use one of my trump cards." The Dark General said in his heavy, deep voice.
"Don't think I'll let you die so easily. I'll show you how I destroy your world and kill everyone in front of you, and then I'll show you how I destroy that bitch's temple and free the Overlord."
But, all of a sudden, the Dark General's hands pierced Slade's chest. But instead of dying, Slade's face started covered with thin black lines.
His body struggled as his legs dangled in the air.
"Let me show you one more of my cards."The Dark General laughed as a black pendant appeared in his hand, which he crushed.
As soon as he crushed the pendant, a tear appeared in the sky. The war seemed to come to a halt for a brief second as everyone's gaze was drawn to that tear. But soon after, a huge head the size of a basketball stadium emerged from the tear, bringing heavy pressure on the world. The head was black and resembled the head of a T-Rex, but it had two horns.
Soon after, its body emerged from the tear. It was a dragon that resembled a massive mountain, with two wings on its back and sharp nails on its four limbs; it was a majestic figure.
"RROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" The earth trembled as the dragon roared, it's head high in the sky.
Soon after, the dragon turned its head to look at Dark General before looking at the Temple's remaining forces. It roared again and flew in that direction.
Slade's eyes were clouded with despair as he looked toward the temple. Everything was in shambles as the dragon's fire-scorched everyone to a crisp.
"Didn't I promise you I'd show you the carnage?" The voice of the Dark General reached his ears.
Slade turned to face the Dark General, whose eerie black eyes were fixed on him.
But all of a sudden, Slade spit something from its mouth. It was so fast that the dark general didn't have any time to react as it penetrated his eyes.
Slade's body fell to the ground, his eyes closed, and darkness engulfed him, but he could hear a roar of anguish and pain.
His lips curled into a smile before the last words escaped his mouth.
"FUCK YOU"
...
Inside Nefetera's temple. The eyes of the woman's statue shone brightly before dimming and fading away.
