《Defeat the Overlord》Shooting

BANG BANG BANG BANG.....
The Trainer’s jaw slackened as his gaze shifted between Ethan and the target. Except for a few shots at the start, all shots hit the center of the ring. Even he was taken aback and doubted that the man in front of him was a novice. Normally, newcomers take some time to adjust, but this man was different.
After one round, Ethan paused, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, as if relishing the sensation.
When he began firing, there was nothing but the target in his eyes; his body reacted accordingly, and the feeling that he had almost forgotten reappeared in his mind.
He exhaled and clenched his fists, but his hand trembled slightly as numbness spread around his arm.
“Fuck,” he cursed quietly. In his excitement, he again forgot that his body was still not strong enough and that his muscles were sore from the workout he did the night before.
“That’s pretty good. Almost all the shots hit the center,” The Trainer said as he walked beside Ethan, his gaze fixed on the target for a moment before turning to look at him.
“But you should have a gap while shooting consecutive shots,” The trainer’s eyes shifted to Ethan’s arm, “I think you understand.”
Ethan nodded as he subconsciously massaged his right arm.
“Anyway, do you want to continue?” The Trainer looked at Ethan.
“Yes, give me some time,” Ethan said as he returned to the couch next to the shooting range.
Trainer cast a quick glance at Ethan before returning his attention to the target, where he could see the perfect shots in the center.
“Natural shooter,” He mumbled to himself and returned to the reception area.
Meanwhile, Ethan sat on the couch, staring at his right arm for a moment before pressing some points along the arm and massaging it.

The numbness he felt after the shooting was gone, and the soreness he felt after the workout, was greatly reduced.
But he didn’t leave right away. His gaze scanned other shooters who were practicing in the shooting range.
While some were novices, others were experts, and they even practiced moving targets.
Ethan looked at them for a few moments before standing up and returning to the shooting area where the trainer was waiting for him.
“Ready?” The Trainer looked at Ethan.
Ethan nodded, and the trainer handed the gun to him and started explaining the next stance.
“Just put your left foot in front and your right foot in back, bend slightly, hold the gun with both hands, and move your arms in sync with your eyesight.” The trainer explained as he adjusted Ethan’s posture.
Ethan adjusted to the stance according to the instructions; after the firsthand experience with the shooting, he knew that his stance could significantly offset the recoil.
Soon, his gaze was pulled to the center, and he removed the gun’s safety and again.
BANG.
The trainer, who was standing nearby, was surprised to see the shot hit the center yet again. His brow furrowed briefly as his gaze shifted to Ethan.
Meanwhile, Ethan felt much more at ease while shooting the target, and his body gradually acclimated to the recoil.
He adjusted his stance slightly and shot at the target once more.
BANG
.....
Ethan’s eyes glistened as he looked down at the gun in his hand.
“What an excellent piece,” He muttered quietly as he handed the gun to the Trainer, who looked really dumbfounded.
The Young Man in front of him appeared to be a natural shooter.
Leave the static targets, the moving targets were also not spared. Apart from a few missed shots at the beginning, every shot hit the center.

“You could try shooting sports. I think you’re born for that,” the Trainer said with a rare smile.
But Ethan chuckled and shook his head. “I just wanted to try my hand at shooting. Anyway, I’m going to be a regular here.”
The Trainer didn’t say anything and nodded, “Take care,” and he left.
Meanwhile, Ethan went down to the ground floor. Even after two hours, there was still a buzz in the area. Many people crowded around the registration counter as they signed up for the event.
Ethan’s steps came to a halt as he looked at the counter before shifting his gaze to the receptionist, who was dealing with another client.
The receptionist smiled. “Had a good time, sir?”
“Yes, you sell those firearms?”
The receptionist nodded slowly. “Yes, but do you have a license, sir?”
Ethan, on the other hand, shook his head. “No. Will you help me with this?”
The receptionist smiled again. “We can do it.”
She handed the cost sheet to him as he looked at the charges for the service.
“Fine.” Ethan handed back the cost sheet to the receptionist, and she started completing the formalities.
“You will get your license within a week,”
“Thank you,” Ethan gave a faint smile and turn around to leave the hall.
His gaze darted around to see how many people were gathered around the counter, all with excited expressions on their faces. Aside from the one million dollar cash prize, the winners will also receive Arcanum Solutions’ Top Tier gaming pods.
The company had heavily invested in the promotion of the upcoming game, and he understood from their discussions that many of these people came to try their luck for the top-tier gaming pod, which was quite expensive for the middle-class group.
It was also claimed that there was a surprise package for top-tier pod owners, which contributed to the market hype.
Ethan shook his head slightly and exited the hall.
.......
He couldn’t help but think about the feeling he had while shooting as he drove back to his house.
He really touched the zone, which was an essential requirement for all the assassins in the Ebeisia.
An assassin would enter the zone when nothing but the target was visible to him. The zone grows in accordance with the assassin’s power. When the assassin reaches the pinnacle, the zone transforms into a terrifying tool for an assassin.
Apart from the target, the assassin’s mind could process so quickly that it could automatically process the environment within 500 meters. The assassin will detect any slight change that could change the outcome, and he or she may change tactics depending on the situation.
Ethan was surprised that he could again enter the zone. He knew that this body would need some time and training to reach a passable level, but entering into the zone was an unexpected and happy surprise.
Perhaps he will develop faster than expected.
.........
After an hour of driving, Ethan’s car came to a halt in front of the villa. But his gaze was drawn outside the window to a woman in a white t-shirt and jeans standing in front of the villa’s gate with a few bags and suitcases.

Bear trap (statehumans CalTex)
(This book has nothing to do with furries, otherkins, or irl therianthropes. Both by their own definitions and my own, we have nothing to do with each other. Keep being your weird selves just don't pretend I'm a part of those groups because I wrote this book with animal/human hybrids in it. Any comments trying to talk about furries or otherkins will be deleted because it makes me physically uncomfortable. Therians are ok tho because it's basically the fancy way to say people who have spirit animals)There are two races in this world, humans and therianthropes, which are humans with animal qualities, that can shapeshift into their animal counterpart. The therianthropes, once divided by predator and prey, joined together in hiding after the humans began to hunt therianthropes for sport. California, a young grizzly bear therianthrope, was always curious to see the world beyond the forest he and his people lived within. Texas, a young farmhand, always wanted to catch a therianthrope, believing it would make him the hero of his village after violent massacres and thefts had been performed on it, supposedly by therianthropes. But when these two young men's paths collide, secrets, strange new feelings, and a magical adventure turns everything they thought they knew about the others race upside down.Warnings:- statehumans- countryhumans - the country and statehumans are all kinda just mixed together. There is no obvious separation between state and country, they're all just people - guns- and ships- hunting - idk, vegans?- gay stuff- not super gory, but people do get hurt - maybe death
