《Supreme saint》Abyssal Sovereign

Doran could make out two brick words [Abyssal Sovereign] engraved boldly on the statue.
'Just what concept was an Abyssal Sovereign?' These words were as unfamiliar as they would sound. This was the first time he had seen such a title.
Considering the structure of the entire tomb it was apparent that it belonged to some great figure. Steered deeply by curiosity, he decided to explore further into the tomb. He thrust out his hands and pushed at the stone door.
"Clank!"
With a slight rattle, the stone door slid open, giving way to the interior of the tomb. Staring with a stunned expression, Doran realized that his judgment earlier concerning the tomb owner must have been far too rudimentary due to his own ignorance. The inside of the tomb looked nothing less than the interior of a castle, so huge and magnificent. The whole place was built with precious gems and jade-like materials of unknown origins. There were different statues and works of art.
'Is this a tomb or a fortress? Just what is the identity of the owner of this tomb?'
As he went deeper into the tomb he began to feel a mysterious pressure that contained traces of killing intent. Under this pressure, he found it difficult to breathe.
'What is the cause of this pressure? Don't tell me... Is there someone here?'
Just as he worried within, he saw a red stone altar about eight feet high, obviously, it was the main content in the tomb. On the top of the altar was a jet black sword pegged down. The sword was so spectacular, it was the best he had ever seen both in reality and history books. It was obvious that this sword was crafted by no ordinary person. He realized that this was the exact same sword he saw on the statue a moment ago.

Why wasn't there a body in this tomb? Could it be considered a tomb? Just as he thought, he began to draw closer to the altar.
'That sword... It's the cause of this pressure '
The blade looked so dreadful that he thought he could get cut just by staring, it was obvious that so many lives had been taken by it. Looking at the sword, he felt a word ring constantly in his mind [Death]. 'Why am I thinking about this all of a sudden?' he couldn't help but wonder.
At this time he arrived at about fifty meters away from the black sword, he couldn't approach any further because of the dreadful pressure.
'That sword should be nothing but legendary rated... If only I could obtain it... It can surely make up for my lack of sword energy'
Just as there were different tiers and levels for humans and vicious beasts, the same goes for weapons and artifacts. The highest level that could be found in this world was a legendary rating.
While forging a weapon, the rating will depend on the quality of materials used. Weapons created could either be a rated weapon or a growth-type weapon. A legendary rated weapon was extremely rare because they could never be created, only after a growth type weapon gained sufficient energy and experience through the wielder could it be promoted to a legendary rated weapon, the whole process could take hundreds or thousands of years but certainly depends on the person using it.
Throughout history, only notable saints had been able to accomplish this feat. One major benefit of a growth-type weapon is that the true owner of the weapon will be able to achieve oneness with the weapon bringing out its full potential during battle.
Doran was born in a small village in florin valley which was located in the south-eastern province of their world, the Jiangxi divine continent. At the age of nine, he was chosen to be a disciple of florin valley academy because of his natural talent in sword arts. After six years, he however remained an outer court disciple, this was because he failed to produce sword energy. Despite the hard work he put into training coupled with his unrivaled sword talent, he still couldn't produce a hint of sword energy. He was so skillful in sword arts from a very young age that everyone anticipated much from him, but now it was certain that he was bound to be a nobody. He was often ridiculed and bullied. In a world where strength was highly considered, just how could he change his fate?

Thinking this, his eyes seethed with desires but just as the thought came, he quickly dispelled it. 'What am I thinking? How can I obtain something I can't even get close to?'
In the next instant, a beam of white light shot out at him from the sword, it happened in the blink of an eye that he couldn't react to it.
'Huh? What's that light..."
Shocked, he hurriedly observed his body to see if he had been affected in any way but to his surprise, he discovered that there was no change to his current state.
'Was that some sort of illusion?'
In the next instant, he felt his vision distort and the scene before him changed.
"Waaah!"
It was a battlefield. The whole place was heated up with fire, there was an endless slaughter as millions and billions of people were engaged in battle. Blood rained from the skies, clashes of weapons, energies, and elementals were seen as the sound of numerous wails could be heard.
During the battle, he could make out the figure of a young man. He was the main highlight of the battle, coupled with his long hair and peerless beauty, he had a charming demeanor that even women could fall short of his beauty. Clad in black armor, he was like a death god, and each time he swung his sword, thousands of people were extinguished into nothingness. His pupils shined brightly with golden patterns.
Observing closely, Doran was shocked to discover that the statue he had seen before was of this person. The sword he wielded was the exact jet black sword he saw in the tomb. As more scenes began to unfold, Doran was stunned speechless.
'Is he the Abyssal Sovereign? So the sword was originally his...' That would be the only explanation as to why he wielded the sword.
'Wait...why does he look like me?'
Although this man's hair color was white which was the direct opposite of his, he bore a similar resemblance to him.
'Could it be a coincidence that I was brought to that tomb? Perhaps... I'm reincarnated?'
