Demons have surpassed humankind in every conceivable way. It’s an irrefutable truth that humanity had been forced to realize when they were forced out of the northern hemisphere of Manufis by the otherworldly creatures. When man wielded aura, the natural energy of Reality, against the demon threat, they were relieved to find that these attacks worked to stop the creatures. Unfortunately for those early men, they had no way of knowing about the Red Rain Eclipse. Records report that when it first began, those early demons not only rose from the dead, but began to evolve, using the same aura that killed them to slaughter the ones that forced them to suffer the minor setback of death.

Now, over one thousand years later, humanity has learned to protect itself from the demons. The Wolves of Haven are a collection of the strongest aura wielders, or Aura Manipulators, that exist in the southern hemisphere of Manufis known as Kissen. They work to take back the northern hemisphere that they’ve lost, Sassen, as well as eliminate the demon threat as a whole.

Every year, the strongest young Aura Manipulators are gathered to take the Wolves’ Den Exam — a week-long series of tests and tournaments that are used to recruit new Wolves of Haven. In order to be eligible to take the exam, one must have built a reputation for themselves in Kissen. This can be done through exceptional results in one of Kissen’s many “Rep Schools”, or through various freelance Aura Manipulator opportunities that exist throughout the region.

Regardless of the path one takes, only the best of the best are allowed to take the Wolves’ Den Exam — and only the truly elite can enter the ranks of the Wolves of Haven… And as a brand new threat to humanity looms in the distance, the world needs elite Aura Manipulators.
