《Tales of Sehrlana》The Past

Chris opens his eyes and sees Eva with her eyes closed, in a close embrace beside him.
He liked getting up before her so that he can watch her like this. Her eyes were closed, some of her hair was on her face, he carefully removed them to see her properly.
She had a small nose, but just right for her face, her chin had a small mole, he loved kissing it, she had thin lips, watching them he felt the urge to feel them but refrained from it as he didn't want to disturb her sleep. Everything on her face felt so natural just the way its suppose to be.
But it was her eyes that Chris liked the most, she had round eyes, but what made them special was the way she looked at him with them. She would look right through him, she needed just one look to know what he was feeling.
Occasionally he would see it, the look that meant "You are the one I want, you are the one I love." He used to look forward to those moments. He wondered if she understood how much he loved her "Did she see it the same way I see it in her?"
He liked watching her, in her sleep like this. He could spend his whole life just looking at her.
He put his thoughts aside, carefully removing himself from the bed without disturbing her. Chris always woke up before Eva at her place, this was their thing. If they spend the night at Chris's place, in the morning Eva would make breakfast and the opposite if it was her place. Today staying at Eva's place the task fell upon him.
He went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Chris liked doing this, he will do anything for her. She loved a cheese omelet with some slices of bacon and orange juice to go with it. He prepared it and went back to the bedroom.

For Chris, this moment gave him all the purpose in life.
The moment he enters, she wakes up, getting up from the bed holding on to the blanket (Chris smirks inside imagining if he has not already seen it all). She looks up, her hair all messed up, barely able to open her eyes, their eyes meet and Chris sees it, that look which tells him, How much she loves him, followed by a smile, that smile would just melt him, he smiles back.
He found nothing in life more perfect than seeing her like this in her most vulnerable state, making him realise she was his and he was her. There was nothing he wouldn't do for her....

Son?..... Young Master?....wake up Young Master...
Chris opens his eyes, to see Roger and Sarah looking over him with concern. Sarah is almost in tears, he gets up, he sees William standing in the distance away from him.
"Are you ok son", Sarah asks. Chris tries to recollect but everything feels all messed up. "Wasn't I with Eva? Eva? Where is she? What am I doing here?
It takes him some time to come to recollect his last four years and being born into this world. "Wasn't I in the middle of the naming ceremony?"
He looks at Sarah and asks, "Mother how did the ceremony go?"
Sarah looks at Chris and just breaks down, "Oh my child, I will always love you, no matter what"
Chris wants to ask her more, but he feels very tired. "I love you too mother" for some reason he says it loud, like an auto reflex reply. Hearing this Sarah unable to hold her tears just takes off, William glances at Chris and walks off.
Chris found all this very puzzling, but he just wanted to sleep, he felt tired. Roger gives him a reassuring smile, asks him to rest and that things will be ok.
Before sleep took over, all he could think of was Eva, where is she?, What happened to her? Is she ok? I want to see her....Eva...Eva...E...V

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

Rise of the Desolate Star
“The soul is a sword. The body its sheath. Adversity is the hammer, while courage is the anvil. Oh, and son? Your tears and snot, they’re just the sparks that chip away at the impurities, like dungflies off a sow’s arse.” - Kendric Farrow Ever since he could remember, young Skyle Farrow’s body and mind have been hammered relentlessly like red-hot steel against the anvil of adversity under the watchful eyes of his father. All the while, Skyle’s heart and soul have been nurtured by the enduring warmth of his loving mother. Skyle has always asked why a simple farmboy would have need for all manner of skills like hand-to-hand combat, wilderness tracking, archery, beast taming, geography, history, politics, and even embroidery! The one vital question remains unasked, however: just what are his parents preparing him for? The invasion of a demonic horde? The advent of an age of war and endless bloodshed? The dark legacy of an ancient mystical power? A desperate struggle to save the lives of those he holds dear? The end of the world? It is a good thing he never asked these questions, for the answer would have been yes - to all of them. Now Skyle must take his first steps beyond the sheltered world he has known. He has been raised strong, but is he strong enough? Welcome to a tale of friendship, love, loss and heartbreak. It chronicles the growth of a young boy into a legend whose path will shatter the very foundations of the world. Expect a rich, detailed world with vivid characters. Each will pursue their own complex agendas due to realistic motivations. The MC will be overpowered, not through liberal use of plot armor but rather the deliberate application of arduous training, clever thinking, and nurtured talent. Battles will be graphic, victories will be bittersweet, and defeat will not mean the end of the world - for time waits for no one and life goes on whether we like it or not. New chapters posted on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6 p.m EST, 10 p.m. GMT. The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Den of Vipers
The Year is XXXX, and a deep, heavy fog sets in all over not just the planet, but the whole of the universe, sending all within into a deep, deep sleep. When they awake, all has changed, and both for the better and the worse. Everything has changed, from the new, impossibly massive planet that all now occupy to the terrain to the very rules of reality themselves. But what has changed the most are the people. It seemed as though Humanity was alone in the cosmos, but no longer, as new, monstrous races have been born from the flesh of those whom the Fog singled out. With the survivors rewarded for each altered former human they kill, along with each heroic (and villainous) act that they engage in, those who have changed are forced to run, hide, and try to fight back. But in a distant place, a single altered person stirs from her sleep as the Fog fades. With no Humans for hundreds of miles and a [Quest] that all other Altered share guiding her newly inhuman mind, the newly born serpentine but humanoid monster will have to fight for survival and dominance in a world hellbent on her death, with that violent, pathological hate coming not just from the remaining Humans.
