《KFC》Chapter 9: Foundation Building!

After the fight, Fairy Bai and Zi Chyou resumed their places at Trampas's sides. A few older men had stayed around after the fight and approached them. The man at the 8th layer of Qi refining who had spoken up for Trampas after the death of Young Master Zhou gave Trampas a cupped fist salute and asked, "Young Master Long Tian, I understand you already have an invitation to join a sect, but my Red Runner Clan can offer you a place as a core disciple. We are also a subsidiary sect of the Blood Sword sect. Our core disciples can fight in the Blood Sword sect's entrance tournament."
[Fourth Mission: Join a sect. Travel to the Red Runner Clan and become a core member.]
[Time remaining 23 hours 59 minutes]
[Reward for mission completion: 2500 system store points]
"Aw hell," Trampas looked at his two ladies and then smiled, "You know what, I like the sound of this core whatever it was, can we seal this deal with a handshake, or you got a contract I need to sign?"
The man smiled and then pulled out a contract and said, "Just sign here."
Trampas looked over the contract and asked, "Hey man, what is this part here about turning over any cultivation techniques and battle techniques?"
The older man chuckled and then replied with a smile, "I won't hide it from you, we just believe your cultivation technique and battle technique would probably benefit our sect."
Trampas rubbed his head and then replied, "You know what, I'm going to sign this here contract, but you're gonna give my ladies the same treatment you gave me."
The older man nodded and said, "Of course Young Master Long, they will both be admitted as core disciples as well."
Trampas signed the contract and then said to the girls, "Y'all need to learn my techniques now, I'm gonna teach you, and that way y'all be able to keep up with me where ever we go."
The Jade Lake's Fairy began to cry and Zi Chyou had a blank dazed look as if she couldn't understand what had been said.
The older man smiled and then said, "When shall we head out to the sect?"
"How far away is it?" Trampas asked.
"Not far, about half a day's walk." The Older man answered.

Trampas thought about it and said, "Alright let's get home and get our shit together. Ladies, I'm sorry, but you'll need to pack in a hurry. We leave first thing in the morning."
As they walked back to Trampas's home he explained the cultivation technique until they were able to use it. That night both Fairy Bai and Zi Chyou managed to break through to the 5th layer of Qi Refining marking them both as genius cultivators in the eyes of the Red Runner Clan elders. Trampas was even more shocking as he broke through the first layer of the Foundation Building realm. By the time morning came around the three of them were primed and ready to go.
Tutor Chen came running over to the three of them as they loaded a carriage for the journey. She looked angry as she ran out and stood in front of the carriage before shouting out, "Young Master Long Tian, you get out here and explain this to me at once!"
Trampas climbed down from the carriage and asked, "Tutor Chen? Didn't they explain to you? I have to leave for the Red Runner Clan this morning."
"I don't have the time to waste as you travel to and from your sect. You either bring me with you, or you can break off my contract!" Tutor Chen's large chest bristled in anger.
"Alright, have the servants grab your stuff and come on up." Trampas didn't even really need to think about it. He still had to complete the system mission and Tutor Chen was vital to that.
Trampas gave Tutor Chen the cultivation technique as they traveled however his ladies both advised Tutor Chen not to start cultivating it until they reached an area with some privacy. The night before they had experienced the rapid breakthroughs with accompanying waste as their body's imperfections were forced out.
Traveling by carriage they managed to reach the Red Runner Clan after only a few hours. The sect was much bigger than they had imagined. It was nearly the size of Baichi. Everyone wore either a red Tang Suit, Cheongsam, or Robes. Some of the Clan wore red with a blue circle on the left side, some wore red with a white circle on the left side and some wore red with a gold circle on the left side. The elders and authorities of the Clan had black circles with either blue, white, or gold stripes. One could guess that the number of stripes determined their level of authority.

A man with a black circle and one gold stripe met them at the entrance, "Welcome to the Red Runner Clan, I am Di Hanyan. I am in charge of settling your household affairs. I will assign your quarters here and also explain some of the sect's rules."
Trampas and the ladies climbed down off the carriage and introduced themselves, Zi Chyou asked, "What about clothing, I see that members of the clan wear uniforms?"
"Great question, you are all core disciples, so you will be issued the gold uniforms. You can choose from any of the three styles." Di Hanyan explained as they walked along.
Fairy Bai asked, "The things on our carriage?"
"Those will be brought over to your residence by your junior brothers and sisters. Here in the Red Runner Clan, those with blue circles are the outer disciples. Most of us start at this rank. You will notice over time that they make up the bulk of our clan. Those with white are the inner disciples, they are the true fighting force of our Clan. Most of them are at the peak of Qi refining."
They walked past a group of men with white circles who gave a martial arts salute as Trampas's group walked past. "How many core disciples does the clan have?" Zi Chyou asked.
"In total with you four joining us? We now have twenty-four." He pointed at a tower about 100 yards in the distance and said, "Each of the core disciples is ranked and the top 20 have their names on the pole. The person at the top just needs to remain there for one year and then they become a sect elder." He pointed to his chest, "That's what the black circle indicates. Our job as an elder depends on a number of factors, our power level, our time with the sect, and the number of accomplishments we have."
Trampas asked, "What do I have to do to get my name up there on that there tower?"
Di Hanyan smiled and then said, "We hold tournaments, and how you place in our tournament decides your place on the ranking."
Tutor Chen looked around and then asked bashfully, "Excuse me, am I also being admitted as a core disciple? I don't even have any cultivation yet."
Di Hanyan smirked and then replied, "Thank your man then, I was instructed to enroll each of Young Master Long's women as a core disciple."
Tutor Chen turned bright red and wanted to refute being his woman but was terrified of offending the sect's elder. Fairy Bai and Zi Chyou gave each other a look and shook their heads. Trampas didn't seem to notice or mind.
Di Hanyan lead them through many streets of the Clan and indicated the purpose of many of the buildings. They arrived in a residential area and walked up to a house about the size of Official Long's house in Baichi. "This will be your home Young Master Long, you and your wives will live here together. If you'd like servants, you can hire some of the outer sect disciples to fill the required roles. Just make sure you understand that they are not servants like you'd have back in Baichi, they are your junior brothers and sisters. They will work just as hard as servants, but they are to be afforded the respect and dignity of a junior brother and sister in the Clan."
After a quick thank you to Elder Di Hanyan they parted ways and took possession of the house. When they pushed open the gates and walked inside they found that their junior brothers and sisters had already brought their bags from the carriage into the master bedroom. The kitchen had been stocked with food and basic cleaning had been done on the entire residence. Trampas looked at the food in the kitchen and said, "Y'all are in for a treat today, I'll tell you what. I'm gonna make us a good ol' fashioned American lunch. I've had it up to here with Chinese food for every meal."
The ladies looked at each other in confusion. Tutor Chen finally found the courage to ask, "Young M...I mean Tea Dubuya, why didn't you say anything to the elder about me not being your woman?"
He smiled at her and shook his head, "Do you want to cultivate and make something more of your life than just a teacher? Seems like a small price to pay, I suppose."

One Eyed Ghoul; a Tokyo Ghoul fanfic.
A for want of a nail fic I write in between moments when I'm working on my original story. Originally posted on FanFiction.net, but brought over here to allow people to compare it to my original work if they wish. The premise is as follows: Hide decides to pay Ken an early visit in the hospital. He cares too much to let his friend recover alone. A tiny change to the sequence of events, an entirely different story. Some bloody scenes, but no worse than the original story offered.
