《Debts Come Due!》Day-32 A better day.

Sasha after having breakfast, healing herself, and taking a nap, was finally ready to start the day. It was going to be a good day if she had anything to say about it. She would make it so and let nothing stop her from enjoying herself on a nice fall day like this. After all, what was life worth if it was not worth living.
The group was finally getting ready to head back out into the wilds. To go far into the untraveled places and explore the old world. What could be better then that feel of adventure. After all, each of them had wonderlust in their hearts and were pulled ever onward by it.
They had set up the position of power in the city and would now seek to spread their web, to farther their influence to the surrounding area so that they were impossible to uproot. To make a cabal of their very own and take power where they could get it. With Fate and Destiny playing around with their lives what other choice did they have, at least this would be fun right?
"Do you have your people ready yet, we are working on getting the supply wagons rolling. The city knows of our aim for making a dungeon and only asked us to not make another monster like the last time." Embrda said to the cloked figure who had decided that they could call her Cassy today and proclaimed that she would probably change it at some point in the near future.
"How they found out that we did it I still have no idea but at least they sent out the all call for adventures from across the world. We even got a nice little reward for making it and a firm 'never do that again' from the counsel."

"You could have been a little bit subtle about it if you really did not want them to know. Calling up all the gods like that because you had bitten off more then you could chew was not exactly the best idea if you wanted to stay hidden. My bet is that the gods talked to their followers about it and now we are here." Cassy said.
"In our defense we did not expect to ring the cosmic dinner bell like that, I still blame Fate for it myself." Embrda replied to the snarky reply.
"Point still stands that you jumped right into the middle of the lake without knowing that you could swim." Cassy said while looking at him.
"Two, the orgional plan called for two gods asistance and a few devil's aid to get it done. What ended up happening was so over kill that it was rediculess. The gods were really only called because the undead we were planning to used needed premision to be called out anyway." He added.
"We knew the old Broken Chain would help us and just needed one other to go along for the ride. Imagine our suprise when all of them heard the call and decided that it might be fun." Embrda says clearly still a bit bitter about that. Half the underworld had laughed at him for how stupidly visable that move was for a thief that lived in the shadows. The worst part is that he could not even blame them because everything that they said was true.
It would be a long journey to the mine. The worst part is that they could not just stop by the cabin on the way there because trying to get all these people through the confusion fields was next to impossible. That was without considering the fact that they did not even want them being able to get through to their safe haven in the first place.

All along the way more assassins were going to join them and the supply wagons were going to start increasing from the messages sent to neighboring villages. They had planned it all down to the most miticules of detail so that when push came to shove they would be ready for anything. Anything but three dozen bored profesional killers that is.
It is not like things got out of hand or they had to look out for a knife in the back or anything. Just that the damn guys kept moving everything around and hidding in the most odd places. Seven assassins were enough to continusly rearange the wagon while people were in it causing them to start loosing their minds pretty fast. Imagine trying to mix up some alchemical weapons while having all of your ingreadents shuffle around everytime that you blink or turn your back.
Add to that the fact that the caravan was moving a lot slower then it should and it just kept getting worse over time. Try waking up and find that all the sleeping arangements have been mixed up and you will start to wander how they are even doing this. By the end of the week long journey the party had just about lost their damn minds from it and were ready to start a way with the assassins just to get some damn piece and quiet.
"Here, this is the place. Teamasa get the undead new orders if they have run out and see about getting the second floor ready. Go for an underground pyrmid if you can. Try and get them down deep and with the assassins here to supply bodies we can speed up the work at least a little." Smithy said taking charge. Building things was his expertiese and he knew just where to start.
"Tess can you help speed work along? Move the earth and make it easier to mine up the stone. Grow trees in chambers down under the earth to move the air and clean it. Just do your thing and see how it turns out alright." Sasha added and put her friend to work speeding up the process even more.
She had the unenviable job of helping the assassins get settled in and readying the place for some of the others that would come thanks to the deals struck. It was going to be a long day that was for sure but the profit for doing something she was already paid to do anyway was something to remember.
"I call this room." One assassin said who sounded quite young. Or maybe they were just pretending to be young to mess with people. At the beginning of this journey Sasha would have said that there was no way that could be true but now. Now she believed they would do it based soly on the day of the week.
Bunch of lunitics the lot of them!

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
