《Debts Come Due!》Day-33 I love this world.

"I like this, we can do a lot of work with the area. Build up some spells on the outside and in. Maybe hang up a few curtains." Cassy was saying with a smile on her face. She was at least having some fun with the annoying assassins running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
"Get those brasures set up on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. We need to start filling this place with the right kind of mana as soon as we can. What do you think we have all day to get things ready?" She added after taking a moments pause to get her bearings.
She had big plans for how this place was going to turn out and she did not want to be disapointed. It was never a good idea to dissapoint a master assassin. Someone who killed in spades for gold and rarly glory. They who made death their business and caused more heartbreak then most would ever know. Whom fround bringing death to be both easy and profitable.
They were not a lot of people still alive that dared to tread on them and those that were you did not want to ever come across, much less enrage.
After filling the mine with the power of shadows and smoke it would become an assassins playground. For those that can slip from shadow to shadow as easly as a normal man can walk down the street being surrounded by ever shifting shadows and concealment was like a dream come true. It would be a compleat nightmare for anyone trying to inflitrate their new home but that was not really the assassins problem now was it.
"It is a good day to be alive, wouldn't you say." Cassy said to Tess.
"So long as we both stay alive till the end of it I am inclined to agree with you. It is a good day to be alive."
"That is the spirit! How you you make this place harder to infiltrate. We want people to try but not to just succed after all."

"How about growing plants underground that have hullegenic effects. It you are trying to strengthen the echos of the dead from the mine then that may make it easier. Your people are immune to most such poisons are they not." He responded.
"Yeah they are. Hay do me a favor and remind me to never cross you guys. I would probably end up tossed into the Hells naked or something like that." Cassy said to him. She was only half joking when she said it but now could not get the thought of what she had seen when she looked into the past of the mine out of her head. They had really done a number on the bandits that lived here.
Any of the things they had done to wipe them out could have taken most of them from the board even if they had artifacts to counter the effects but all of them combined had overwelmed all the defenses that were placed throught the mine faster then they could be displaced. Those traped within had gone insane, roasted alive, and died of the smoke that permeatec the place and still stained the rock with it's stench. What a horrible way to go, and that was coming from someone that routinely killed people in horrible ways.
And anyone still in a right enough mind to try and get away was cut down by overwelming trap spells to really twist the knife. It was no wonder that the god she worshiped had called on her to bring his little cult here. The reason he had forbiden contracts on children. The reason he had demanded that they find honor or go alone into the dark. It was because of the way that the very air twisted around them when they walked. Something starnge was a foot and it was either get in line or get left behind.
Things were changing that was for sure and across the entire world it could be felt.
The twisting of Chance as she flipped her coin. Flipping through the air and deciding the lives and deaths of mortal men. Giving and taking in the same moment at her mere whim, the only one that equalizes the world at large. The one that had made beggers into Kings and Kings into Tyrants. The one that had made Tyrants into Gods. The one that had stolen the devinity of the Gods and made them mortal.

Fate rolling her dice of knuckle bones. A grander game then most would ever know and even gods were nothing put pieces on the board that she ruled. Win or lose, it did not matter to her. The game would go on and all winning streaks would run out eventually, it was just a matter of time. This was how empires fell into the mud of obscurity that was historys endless march, how hereos died like dogs in the dirt removing the momentum of revolutions or forging them stronger then ever before.
Destiny throwing the lot into the ring and placing money on the table. A fortune worth more then planets and harder to find then all the fortunes in all the planes. When she was on your side the world flowed by in your favor and when she hated you. You had no backing of Chance. No favor of Fate was ever going to be on your side and even if it was it could not be enough. For if Destiny wanted you dead the only thing fighting it would do is bring down those that tried to aid you.
Some fool Kings in ages past had tried that. Continents had burned under the fires of hell's burning sky. The wold had turned to war and death had rained from the very sky's across his vast empires. Each time that it had been done successfully the world had ended and started again.
If these three were really involved then it made sense why her god had sent them here. It was either the best place to be in the entire world or they would have to kill the entire group before the world ended. Either way things were about to get interesting and for someone like her. Interesting was the most important part of a good vacation from her regular duity"s.
No matter what it came to it was going to mean profit if she could swing a few deals here and there.
Deep below the earth Teamasa was setting up gathering runes so that the power generated here would not slip away. It would be caught here and grow throughout the area until it was a part of every inch. Only then would the place start becoming a dungeon proper.
This could happen on a single battlefield if the violence and bloodshed was consistant and sustaned enough but that was rare and had only happened twelve times in recorded history. Twelve times that mortal men had spilled enough blood over enough time to die the land in the colors of death for all time. Twelve times that the entire world had gone insane and wasted so many lives over long held grudges between far to few to make the results worth the cost. It had never been worth the cost.
Dungeons did not often happen naturally but when they did the very land was warped. One of the biggest was when a valcano erupted and set off a chain reaction of fires and eruptions. That archipelago was stil call the chain of fire because of it. Those that lived there were as changed by the event so long in the past as any there ever was.
Teamasa wanted to one day go there and see if the bodies of the inhabitants were truly as fire proof as some claimed they were. What a wonderful thing to be able to research for a necromancer.
