《The Coin of Fate》Chapter 10 a stroll into the night

"Life and Death were really happy of how the God project worked!
Each Plane and World increased their life span of bilions at least!
Was it perfect? Nah! It still failed after a while but it bought enought time so that the Two could continue to create for a little longer.
Obviously things couldn't stay put and new problem surfaced!
An Ego turned a hero into a God making it something more... An Overgod. Not only that! Some being learnt how to travel from place to place inside the Plane of Creation, the beings of more advanced Worlds and Planes could learn how to travel to the newly formed ones and conquer them, strip them for resources, obtain slaves for cheap labor or even worse! They could easily become Overgods!"
-Bee May, the faery of knowledge
"Solve a problem and a thousand more will appear!"
Little Wolf was dejected, it was his big day! He finally became a hunter! But then, something bigger happened and somehow everyone seemed to forget about him.
All of the important people were inside the village chief home and the others stopped working to speculate about what they saw.
So Little Wolf thought about what happened today for a while and came to a solution! If they didn't wanna talk about him, he just needed to know everything that happened into the woods so the village had to talk to him!
He needed to speak with the hurt hunters! But Little Wolf couldn't enter into the healers side of the caretakers longhouse! Clumsy Annabelle! She could heal! Without him clumsy Annabelle always got hurt so the angry old woman, the oldest person of the village, the one that knew the healing propreties of all the erbs, mushrooms, dirt and animals in the forest, taught clumsy Annabelle how to heal so that she could take care of herself and from time to time her mother.

Little Wolf ran to the wall around the village and hid into the shadows. He started to control his breathing, his heart beating rithm accelerated. His arms, legs, nails and hairs elungated. The eyes of Little Wolf started to shine a blood red light, he knew father Sidon didn't approve of letting his wild side free but he couldn't escape the watch of the hunters manning the walls without it.
Little Wolf stood still and focused on his hearing, he could hear every beating heart, every breath exhaled inside the village, the words of every talking villager came in jumbled he wasn't good enough yet. When Little Wolf could feel the heart beat of the hunters a good distance away and their breath in the opposite direction of his planned escape point he moved, jumped from the shadow to the edge of the wall, touched with just the tip of the foot and pushed, he flew into the woods, used his clawed hands to stick into a hardwood trunk then scaled it, when he knew the hunters couldn't see him anymore Little Wolf found a branch big enough and started jumping from branch to branch. He knew of a pond a little far away where he could find some sleeping mushroom and bloodcloth moss, if he brought it with clumsy Annabelle the healers might let him inside, so he could ask what happened to the hurt hunters!
His travel speed over the trees was faster than on the ground so, in a little less than a hour he found that pond. While he was collecting the healing components Little Wolf thought about the strangeness of the woods this evening, there were no animals around. He felt their hearts going off like crasy, they were all scared and in hiding. Something big was going on and he needed to know what. Satisfied of his work Little Wolf started his journey back to the village, the silence of the woods were creeping him out so he accellerated a little more, he was still as silent as a ghost but sometimes his ears could hear his movements and his bestial istincts didn't like that, he was the ultimate predator! The unseen threat! The unheard threat! He strained his hearing even more and away from the village and to the east in the direction of the mountains. Little Wolf heard something strange, really strange. He heard bleating mixed with howls and even from so far away he could smell a faint trace of beast blood in the air.

Little Wolf slowed down and with praticed moves snuck inside the village, found clumsy Annabelle smell and followed it. He came to the caretakers longhouse, perfect! In the shadows of the caretakers longhouse Little Wolf was breathing hard and his body was spasming from time to time, he was turning back into the more human form, it was so easy to let go and be one with his wild side but turning back was always hard. Mother Fianna taught him how to be around people, how to not be so scary. Father Sidon taught him how to fight his wild side, how to control it, how to wield it, a sharp claw is worthless if it hurts the people you care about.
Back to normal Little Wolf ran inside the caretakers longhouse, the village chief house was still noisy. He knew that mother Fianna brought unlucky Mary with her as her second so, clumsy Annabelle was alone! When Little Wolf joined her clumsy Annabelle was sleeping so he just shook her lightly until she woke up.
"W-what are you doing here Little Wolf? It's dark outside, you should be at your house sleeping and even better letting me sleep!"
Said a sleepy and vexed Annabelle.
"I need your help clumsy Annabelle, I snuck out of the village to get some healing thingys! You need to give them to the angry old woman and distract her so I can talk to the hurt hunters!"
Little Wolf explained his plan proudly.
"YOU WHAT!?!"
Yelled a now really awake Annabelle.
"Shhh!"
Little Wolf put a hand to Annabelle's mouth
"Will you help me? You will right?"
He pleaded.
"You are really reckless you know?"
Sighed Annabelle.
Little Wolf did his best puppy eyes and clumsy Annabelle snorted.
"Sure, I'll help you. Just so you know your eyes are just too strange and scary to be used in a cute way."
Said Annabelle.

Aspect of the Beast
This story is being rewritten! The new version, A Price in Memory, can be found here. I highly suggest you read the new version as this one won't be completed. He died for the only thing he truly cared about, his family. In a different world a talented mage completes his life’s work, an entire rebuilding of one of the greatest ancient spells, resurrection. Bypassing the stringent requirements, he attempts to make this great magic accessible to the masses, and by doing so earn his place in history. But lost to the passage of time is the reason for these requirements. Not to unnecessarily complicate this great magic, but to ensure the transfer of only mortal souls. For there are things that dwell in the realm of the dead that should never be allowed to cross over.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]

Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS.
