《Re:Savior Or ærdéaþ》Impaled! Argon The Banished!

Two figures were in front of each other one had Black hair and Lavender eyes, while the other was a handsome fellow with Blonde hair and Emerald eyes with a huge grin on his face he only had his hands inside his pockets waiting for his opponent to attack they stayed like that for a few minutes into the Blonde Haired Figure started to speak.
“What are you waiting for? Heh I'll give you ten attacks before I kill you.”
Jett with only disgust started to speak.
“Ten...no all I'll need is five attacks.”
“What?”
Giving Vlad no time to speak Jett only slowly breathed and launched himself at his opponent dark lighting instantly surrounded his body making him look like an angel of death covered with darkness slashing down with his completely pitch black blade with a tint of purple, Vlad only calmly moved out of the way without breaking a sweat.
“Ha! You had me for a moment talking so big.”
Jett only let out a sentence while suddenly changing the direction of his blade.
“Aren't you talking too soon?”
Boom
Vlad was sent flying with dark lighting surrounding his figure many were in disbelief seeing such power from a small boy like Jett yet others thought it was only pure luck, smoke covered the figure of Vlad no one knew what was the result of the attack.
“That's one.”
Jett with a smile on his face causally said those words as the smoke started to disappear revealing the blonde haired boy's jacket ruined with a bit of blue blood running down his left arm as he stood up with hatred reflected within those emerald gems in minutes he shouted loudly that all within the square could hear him.
“Bastard! I'll beat you so bad that you'll wish for me to kill you.”
White and Green Mana surrounded Vlad as it started to go around the arena killing those too close to it, in response some of the trainers trained in light magic put barriers around the entire square so that the poison only affects those within it.
Jett only laughed as he walked right through it with his sword in hand seeing this the Vlad attacked with his scythe in hand attempting to cripple him by going for his legs, Jett in response only pushed forward his foot as he kicked Vlad square in the face.
“That makes two!”
Vlad only had these thoughts In his head 'How could he lose in the first round without making it to the semifinals the only ones who should have been worthy to face him in battle is Jarogniew and Ymo yet this worthless dark elf dared to have injured him impossible!'
Crack
Vlad body only started to shine with green and white mana as his skin started to crack open revealing a beast with long white horns and fangs that were the size of a childs arm he was 2-3 meters tall with fur surrounding him, seeing this the crowd exploded.
“It can't be! This young and he has all ready learned how to awaken it took me into I was sixteen.”
A ghostly figure emerged in the darkness with pitch black hair and a black horn sticking out only let out a laugh as he started to talk.
“Impressive! I expected nothing less from my son, especially after I spent so many resources to train him to this level now and forever my clan shall always be number one.”

This man was Urion Horzion the leader of the Forest Beasts clan, a clan composed of creatures who resemble humans yet are able to change shape into Beasts who live in the forests of course there are limits since the horde continent is devoted of any forests that are under mother-natures control The Forest Beast Clan has a much limited amount of beasts they can take shape into and to even take the form of a beast they would have to see how the beast behaves themselves, which is why Urion spent a large amount of funds to bribe the pit to let him take his Son to the Human continent to find powerful beasts to take the shape of.
Both Urion and his son were laughing at this exact moment.
“Do you see now the difference between our levels? Heh if you beg on the ground right now I'll kill you quickly.”
Jett only spit on the ground as dark lighting started to surround his figure once again as he sprinted forward, Vlad only lightly chuckled at how predictable Jett was being right now trying to defeat him with an up front attack in response Vlad shot his giant fists forward to murder Jett slowly.
Boom
As his fist hit the ground he felt something wasn't right and when the smoke was gone Jett only disappeared it was as though he was never there to begin with as he looked around he couldn't see a thing suddenly he felt pain in his back as though blood was being drained from him, looking down right behind his back was Jett with his greatsword stabbed into him.
“Impossible! How did you use Shadow Merger?”
Jett didn't even give him a glance as he started hacking into his back throwing meat and blood everywhere.
4 Hours Earlier.
While Jett didn't plan on learning the Blue Flames due to not wanting to set himself on fire or cause another accident before his battle, what he did want to learn was Shadow Merger it would be useful to him during his battle with Vlad catching him off guard to land a life threatening blow.
Jett slowly focused his eyes on the shadow of a stone near him trying to enter it yet there was no result, as he started to think back to the duel between Damien and Morgan he recalled that when Light Magic was used on Damien The Black Mana surrounding him disappeared, at that instant he figured out the trick to Shadow Merger it was Dark Mana you had to spread out your mana across to an objects shadow to merge with it, the larger the shadow the more Mana it required yet what it also needed was the unique properties in Demon's blood but with his Cheat ability that limitation wasn't pressed upon him.
You Have Gained Innate Skill: Shadow Merger!
Title Unlocked: Copycat
'Title unlocked? Yet another weird window then again after seeing it these many times I'm not even fazed.'
Back to present
“That makes 5!”
Losing that much blood Vlad was unable to control that beast form any longer as he fell to the ground covered in stab wounds exhausted of all mana with pale skin his formerly prideful and arrogant presence was gone replaced with fear and shame.
“Stop...please spare me I'll surrender to you my father is a clan leader he'll give you silver, skill books, anything you want just..don't kill me!”
Seeing Jett lower his greatsword made his confidence rise as he waited for Jett to turn around....expect what happened next shocked everyone.

“Have you ever wondered what it felt like to be impaled and humiliated by having your body mutated while you're alive?”
Hearing this Vlad tried to gather his energy to run away expect Jett was faster as he attacked with his greatsword chopping off an arm while slowly picking up Vlad's scythe making all the bystanders shocked, the elven boy dared to kill Urion son impaling him with the boys own scythe sending it right through his throat ending outside his back, the scrams that Vlad let loose was like that of a pig while it's being butchered.
Many wondered how powerful this Elven boy would be if he was able to mature especially with showing the use of shadow merger many thought this impossible unless you had demon blood in you but now this was impossible by killing Urions son he was signing his own death contract, what backing did this elven boy have if he dared to kill the only Heir that Urion has.
Instantly a ghostly figured shouted loudly as he was covered in black energy like Vlad his skin started to crack as he shot forward flying in the sky with his body the size of a small building with wings and giant lizard like legs the form that he had taken was that of a being who resembled a Dragon yet was a few steps away from achieving that greatness his form was that of a Drake breathing black flames that could eat away at anything it was a level below the white flames yet on the same power scale of the Kitsune Blue flames.
“Brat! You dared to have killed my son I won't let you go without offering your ashes to my son in his grave.”
The Ghostly drake let loose a fireball filled with powerful flames as he shot it towards Jett giving him no time to respond as it was shot at a speed that couldn't be seen with the naked eye.
Boom
The blast connected with something which made many people wonder what happened, but the result was not expected instead of the dark elf being turned into ash the attack was taken head on with not a single kill count indeed Jett was incapable of stopping this attack yet the one who had done the deed was a silver haired man with a hint of blonde on the tip of his hair his face was so beautiful that it was like the gods crafted it themselves by hand, he had crimson eyes shining within the dust resembling Jett when you looked closer at him.
“M...my lord what are you doing here in the pits?”
When people saw this figure they all got on their knees bowing even if they disliked The Dark Elves as a whole they couldn't afford to show any disrespect to this man who was the strongest mage inside the horde and ranked number 8 among all the continents experts also the current Ruler of the horde, he who was worshiped by The Sun Elves as their god was abandoned by nature and forsaken to The Horde continent with some of his race who was with him during that incident, before when he had not yet arrived to the horde continent they were treated as slaves into he arrived and changed it all, this man's name was Argon The Banished.
“What am I doing here in the pits you say? Who are you to dare ask that of me? Do you think yourself so important that I must tell you everywhere I go?”
Urion with fear written across his face quickly tried to salvage the situation.
“No...lord I only wondered why you would be here in the pits of all places usually you would be in The Elven Continent.”
“Hmph I was in the Elven continent into I received word of your son and a dark elf battling here in this pit but who would have thought that when your son died your usual gentleness would disappear in an instant instead replaced with arrogance and pridefulness taunting that stolen power of yours around the place, but did you really think that I would allow you to go unpunished after killing everyone here with this blast?”
Jett at this moment was shocked to think that after all this time he would see this man again and it seemed that everyone was either afraid of him or worshiped him but the one thing they all shared in common was respect for him and the reason why was his power, power let him walk over Urion without giving him any respect, alike Urion was able to walk into the pit square not caring about the rules at all thanks to his power this made Jett resolve even stronger to one day surpass both Urion and this man in front of him, but he was also confused at the comment of Urion using stolen power what did he mean by that?
“My lord, I was aiming to kill this dark elf due to him mercilessly impaling my son right in front of me.”
Argon only coldly chuckled as he spoke.
“So? The pit rules state that a fighter can win by any means possible as long as it's done by their own hands, didn't your own son do the same to many others? Now that someone has done it back to him you start to get all righteous you seem to forget that In the horde all that matters is strength justice is decided by the strong weaklings like yourself should just disappear before my mood becomes worse.”
Urion knew better than to argue the matter any longer and silently disappeared carrying his sons body with him more children could be made but if he died then his bloodline was gone yet deep in his mind he wondered what was the relationship between his lord and that dark elf brat, while he couldn't directly kill The Dark Elf now that Argon has his eye on the kid he could indirectly cause it as he thought about all the ways of going about it he silently laughed.
Neither of the two powerful men sensed the radiant masked golden clothed figure watching the entire scene before disappearing only letting out a single word as she looked at Jett but anyone who heard it would attack the woman for mentioning the term.
“So that's the ærdéaþ interesting.”
When Argon confirmed that Urion disappeared he went towards the ground grabbing Jett and disappearing, they flew for over 20 minutes into ending up at a mysterious location covered by a blue moon, he threw Jett on the ground swify yet softly at the same time, as Jett was about to open his mouth Argon spoke before him.
“Who are you using my son's body fiend?”

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
