Chris' POV
'Hmmm Hara, what the hell are we meant to tell the others'
'Two rogues fought, the howling was them signalling to retreat and uhhh...pray nobody finds this area of the forest?'
'That sounds absolutely terrible, but I can't exactly do anything more than carry Percy at the moment. Maybe the rain can clear most of it up' Stating as I continue to tread along the rough terrain making my way back to the pack.
'How come you don't want to tell them the truth to begin with?' Hara asks almost pouting at being left out from my thoughts
'I'm not too sure the first thing people want to hear is "Oh Percy? Yeah he fucked up the rogue and ate it's organs", even though it was Crest admittingly enough.' Chuckling to myself in relief, coming to the realisation that the outcome was better than what it could of been. With Percy in my arms I can breathe knowing he's safe and sound, 'although his face may be discoloured we can just say it's from being out in the cold for so long I guess' sighing to myself at how much I do just to protect one member.
Finally reaching the house I get swarmed by Yasmine and Thomas flooding me with questions, "WHAT HAPPENED!?" "IS HE OKAY!" "WHO DID THIS!?" "WHY ARE YOU NAKED!?".
"Did you really have to state the obvious? I can't carry a person while in wolf form without possibly tearing some skin off so that's a no go, dumbasses" - Chris
"I meaaaan I'm certainly not complaining..." Yasmine with her eyes wandering a bit too much she pretends to fake cough to cover up the statement, earning me a look of disappointment at her childishness.
"I have to agree, birthday suits definitely fit your body just at the right size" Thomas smirks while holding his hands up in a picture frame symbol, right before him and Yasmine go to high five each other at the mutual comments to my body. I'm in top shape I can't deny that, but I have scars on my body I'm still not comfortable with people seeing so I hurry my pace to the pack doctor's office with these two hopping in the shadow of my footsteps. Passing some other members who're gawking too much for my liking. "Mind your business and fuck off" I firmly state, watching their own legs trip them over in an attempt to get away.

"Hey Joy, do you mind looking at this one for a sec? I found him blacked out in the woods and I'm worried he may have gotten hurt by a possible rogue breach in our territory" As I place him down to put on a patient gown for the time being and cover myself.
"ROGUEEEEEEE!?" Bursts out loud Scarlet as the sliding doors get pushed back further than intended. "Shut up, we're busy" I kneel down to grab her small face and shove her out the room as she slides along the carpet in protest.
"Who was that rat?" Thomas asks confusingly
"Percy's cousin, aren't you two roommates? How haven't you heard him yap on about her before" - Chris
"Might of slipped my mind I guess I'm not too sure at the moment, can we please just check on Percy now" - Thomas
"Yasmine, come over here" Joy softly asks, as her Niece approaches her. "You inherited your Mother's healing, do you know what I mean by that?", as Yasmine shakes her head not understanding her. "Abilities go down through heritage, bloodlines and some other methods. However, most don't realise that your body from birth is given a burden with each ability that can change whether you are, or aren't from a pack who naturally pass down that power." We stared wide eyed in full interest as even I didn't know this for some reason. She continues saying, "Much like how Rainmakers are born with telepathy and water related abilities, they don't have that internal struggle with managing their powers...Chris on the other hand having the gift of telepathy but not being from Rainmakers has caused him nothing less of pain and headaches through his childhood, attempting to harness it and develop it for himself. Didn't it Chris?"
"I wasn't aware of this...but it would explain quite a few things, so yeah you're spot on" I speak out in amazement 'But why would the Moon goddess burden our bodies?' I ponder to myself. "Back to my point, Yasmine your mother had a special type of healing where unlike the rest of us who use the stamina of the person we're healing to increase their recovery rate. You can also use your own as well as theirs' to reduce the stress it puts on the person's body and aftereffects.

"So you want me to heal him so he doesn't fall into a deeper sleep?" Yasmine catches on quickly with the response to her aunt's explanation. "Precisely!" as Joy goes in to hug her in a proud family member fashion.
We back away as Yasmine places her hand on Percy's torso as light begins to burst from the areas she's restoring, her brown eyes turning a burning bright rose. His chipped right ear, heels of his feet, cuts along his back and a slash in the middle of his torso which I failed to notice until now.
"Hmm" we hear Percy begin to sound out in reaction to feeling his wounds seal back up. "Okay, I think that should be it...I think" as she wipes the sweat from her head and falls back into a chair in obvious tiredness. "Have you even healed someone before?" I ask in curiosity, "No, I've only really been fond of burning things (dead or alive)" I hear an echo of her mind speak into me unwillingly. "Well clearly you've still got enough energy for humour so go get me a sandwich, woman".
Joy slaps me in response, I deserve it yes but I'm genuinely in need of a sandwich so I feel no guilt for my demand. "My baby you did so well, thank youuuuu" Joy begins cooing Yasmine and smothering her with love against her will, 'I guess it runs in the family' Hara quickly notes, making me smile in realisation. Granted Joy did practically raise Yasmine on her own, for reasons she doesn't want to dwell into which I can't fault her for honestly.
"I'm gonna head out and fetch some lunch, tell Percy to come see me when the kid wakes up" making my way out of the sliding doors I see Scarlet still smothering her face against the glass like a mosquito spotting it's meal. "Will do" Thomas replies, sending me a thumbs up with a smile from ear to ear and making me feel better as the Beta for this pack.
"Hey! you never explained what happened out there" - Yasmine
"Oh, just two rogues in a frenzy over some food and ended up tearing each other apart, yes that food being Percy. Now see ya!" As I dash out through the doors trying to escape a horde of questions.
"Oh no the fuck you don't, GET BACK HERE AND EXPLAIN MORE!" She screams through the room and begins to chase me through the doors as I head to the pack canteen at full speed, giggling to myself like a child at the happy mood swing.
"Welp guess that just leaves me to look after you bud" - Thomas

Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.

Medley of Fates Worse than Death
Rick wakes up in a world unknown to him. He doesn't know what exactly happened or why he is there, he just feels he's not from that world as if he had Dissociative amnesia. Soon after waking up, he gets attacked not once, not twice but three times in a single day. Our hero can know how strong enemies are thanks to a special ability of his, but the thing is... What good does it do to know just how weak you are compared to a deadly creature chasing you? This is a LitRPG Fantasy Adventure in which battles are won (or lost) with strategy and wits as our protagonists aren't necessarily the strongest... So if you enjoy more strategic battles I think you will love this story!About the chapters: I will post mostly 1,300 or so word chapters, I love weekly manga and feel like that pacing is similar to the one in a weekly serial chapter, hopefully, you enjoy these chunk-sized chapters :) I only do this for fun in my free time so I think I will probably post a chapter a week, but if my patreon ever gets busy I might put more time into my hobby xD If you feel like checking out some of the newest chapters, I have them over on my Patreon (Currently 5 chapters in advance): www.patreon.com/rija Extra info (Might get spoilery): As the story progresses I intend to add more strategy, politics and economics into the story, but it will still be mostly a LitRpg action-adventure. (Also if you had read my synopsis previously I changed it a bit because the elements I mentioned before in the synopsis won't come into play until much later into the story, and that's why I changed it.)

White Mystic Fox In A Radical World
Under the cloak of midnight, behind the faint creaking sounds of metal bars, staring into the vast beautiful garden of twinkling stars and the gentle, lovely blue moon as its host, was the only fox girl living in the desolate mountain ranges of Maryland with an unknown background. The gleaming reflection of those flickering flowers in her meekly eyes, as well as her blossoming countenance of hardships, demonstrate both her innocence and independence, which has never been tainted by the outside world. A lovely flower eventually touched after thousands of years of living in peace, some bad elements plucked that flower from its natural habitat. The white fox girl never knows what's good and bad, letting them cage her effortlessly without minding their evil sneers because of her over-the-clouds excitement. Finally, the white fox girl realizes she has been treated as nothing more than a prey item ready to be devoured. She's staring at the night skies for a long time and slowly closes her eyes once she gets that divine premonition from somewhere else. It was soothing in the mind. Her lovely smile showed acceptance with tears flowing through her pinkish cheeks, and her consciousness began fading away. Before her senses faded, that glowing angel descended, knelt in front of her, and wiped away her tears. She doesn't know how to express her gratitude to the heavens above for blessing her with a fulfilling and peaceful life. Even if it was a mere single moment, that gratitude and that smile of hers were the happiest things she could ever express. Time has passed, and the sun has risen from its slumber. The soul of the thousand-year-old white fox girl finally ascended to heaven, leaving her lifeless, cold body behind, leaning against rusted metal poles. It was the most peaceful death everyone wished for. Painless and no regrets. The men in charge of the front didn't notice anything out of the ordinary going on behind them. Well... In common perspective and also in reality, a caged dead fox girl at the back of a horse-drawn carriage is no less than a funeral procession. Book found also on wattpad and webnovel.

Tabula Rasa : An Unbound Adventure
It starts as many things do: a clean slate, an empty page. What once was set in stone and wholly writ is gone, and all that's left is the vague notion of absence, a fullness lacking. The feeling of being tetherless, pathless, without direction or responsibility is something many would find terrifying. Others might find it freeing - an opportunity to strike out on new adventures and explore the unknown.Either way, first they have to figure out where they are and how they leave. ====== My first novel on this platform! An avid GameLit/LitRPG fan, I decided to start writing this when I seemed to exhaust all of my options for well reviewed content on the site! Inspiration for the world/general feeling is a mix of Azarinth Healer, Abyssal Road Trip, Winterborn, and the Power of Ten series, with a strong reliance on 3.5 and PF1 frameworks as a scaffold for the world. I see Arc 1 as a Robinson Crusoe style coming to terms scenario, lots of exploration of the System, the MC's options, the island and encounters with the denizens and visitors of the Timeless Isle, with a non-zero amount of introspection around their long term goals. I'll publish as frequently as I'm able but don't have a regular cadence planned at the moment.
