(Next I was going to my part time work. Name for it is mapper. I´m going to scout unknown floors which no one has get access to before. Layout, special features, monsters information and habits. I will find all of them and sell it to clearing group.) (Main lead)
”You have finally come. Clearing group has been asking for information the whole day.” (Contact)
”Sorry for the delay. I was busy.” (Main lead)
”So. Are you going or have you got the information?” (Contact)
”I´m going.” (Main lead)
(Main lead´s POV)
I´m going to the 40th floor. I have been part of mapping group since floor 24 and since floor 31 I became exclusive mapper. They understood my worth since the 30th floor. Without knowledge of petrification potion they wouldn´t have survived. Cockatrice urine was perfect antidote for basilisk petrification. Don´t ask how I found this out.
Every 5th floor leapes in difficulty. 35th floor was especially difficult. Whole places was underwater zone. Piranha sharks were too much. Boss kraken was lot easier to manage.
For these reasons I´m not looking forward to how floor 40 is going to turn out to be. Free fall, poison gases, lusty succubus, thunder storm, invisible enemies and vulcano might be just some which might happen. It took over ten years to clear 5th floor. Can you believe by just eating mushrooms at starting room which were red with white spots were capable of repelling those invincible stone giants. Even to this day less than ten is capable of defeating them by damaging.
You have to be ready for anything. Good thing scouts are capable of teleporting to wanted visited floor. 39th floor, up we go. Unlike floors 35th to 38th were underwater, floor 39th was small island. Treasure hunt island to be exact. Mimic if needed to be more exact and only one is correct one which opens the path to 40th floor. You literally has to enter inside the chest and hope it isn´t pretending mimic. You can´t even damage them before they are open. Even my superior appraisal doesn´t work on them. So troublesome.

Of course I have one way to deal with this. My cheat item called as ”blanket”. Yes, you read right a blanket. Item which keeps you warm and keeps dust away from you. That kind of item. Of course with one small difference which has nothing to do with invisibility. Why everyone gets that idea? Real difference is it has skill transform. It literally can change shape into anything but size and mass has to stay same. It doesn´t give any attack power or defence but this is fine. I can´t get neighter either way.
My method it to transform it into something that mimics are deathly afraid of which can´t be brought here. And what is that you say? Hellfire. No. Not the song or the band. They actually like it. I mean flame hellfire. You might think: didn´t you say they can´t be damaged by anything in chest form. You are correct but hellfire doesn´t damage. It literally burns the soul. Mimics have low comprehension which helps even more.
It literally ended in seconds. They are sinking into the sea. Huge amount experience is coming to me. It is shame that clearing group can´t do this. They have to open, enter, save and repeat. Good luck to you. Well, it won´t be any easier to me. 40th floor, up we go.
As I stepped into 40th floor I got only one idea.
”This has to be the most obvious trap in existence.”
Gingerbread house was in front of him.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge

A Pirate's Life for Mei
In the future, prisoners are no longer kept in traditional prisons. They're put into comas and permanently dwell within realistic, full-dive virtual worlds. Mei is a journalist and activist falsely convicted of political crimes after accusing an official of sexual harassment. She finds herself in chains aboard a ship in the Caribbean, a prison realm set in 1675, in the age of sail. Oversight is corrupt and the guards are violent. While most prisoners sullenly endure their hardship, Mei knows that this world has a loophole: prisoners can buy their freedom — if they can get the gold. And this also happens to be the golden age of piracy. Yo ho, yo ho. It's a pirate's life for Mei. Book 1 Mei arrives in the Caribbean and battles for her freedom against the devilish English navy, is kidnapped by Caribs, and comes face-to-face with a jaguar. She recruits fellow prisoners in an attempt to steal a boat and flee the prison colony. Book 2 Mei and her crew arrive in Sint Maartin and learn that the French and the Dutch are at war! As Lance, Juan, and Cheeto face their pasts, the crew becomes privateers. Their first prize: a ship full of rum and a week of drunken debauchery in Curacao. This puts them on the trail of Aztec gold buried deep in jungle ruins. An adventure filled with doublecrosses and stealing their first true ship! This is the All Ages version.
