《The Primordial Of Deaths Awakening》School life part 3

As soon as the teacher walked in the all the guards and servants were dismisses to the next room over. Once class starts anything that could cause a distraction or scare any of the students, especially the commoners, was removed from the classroom. That includes the large scary armed guards who could each kill everyone in the room if tensions arose. It also serves as a precaution against any noble brat who got their ego hurt and tries to order one of their guards to kill the offender. The teacher walked up to the podium and as we all watched she lightly tapped a stack of papers against the stand before looking up at us.
"Welcome to Magical studies for A-class students! I'm am your teacher, Alice Mageheart. Since it's the first day of school I will tell you a little about myself. I am a human who grew up in the Dragon-kin empire as a commoner, I went to one of the educational facilities in the empire where my magical abilities were recognized and I was sent to a magical academy. Once I graduated I became a combat mage. I was wounded during the war over this island and as a reward for my service to the empire I was offered a teaching position at this academy. On a different note, I have been asked by the director to remind all the students that there has been a policy change, While this island is supposed to be a neutral territory the Empire does hold the rights to it and is responsible for its security. As such there will now be a zero-tolerance equality policy. While you all are in class the upper and lower dorms are receiving a complete overhaul. Only one guard per person will be allowed in the rooms and both nobles and commoners will be sharing these dorms. "
Before she continued pandamonium ensued as the noble children shouted at her and demanded to speak to the director. As the din continued I saw my sister at the desk right next to me covering her ears as one student leaning a little too far over was yelling right into it. Crossing my arms and putting my feet up on my desk I released a tiny fraction of my aura it wasn't much overall and the teacher would probably write it off as a by-product of my father being one of the strongest human non-champion fighters in our world but to the other noble students who had lived very pampered life up till now it must have felt like death itself had descended on them. As soon as I released my aura Mrs. Mageheart locked eyes with me and I could sense her start to circulate her mana through her body. Just the small amount I could sense scared me it’s purity was a level or two above mine and there was a lot of it. I was startled as to why she looked like she was preparing for combat but then I realized she must think I was angry enough to attack her. Breaking eye contact with her I glared at the brats all around as. A low rumble came from deep in my throat as I made my displeasure known to the room and every person I made eye contact with looked away in fear except for two. One was the boy from before and he held my glare even returning it. I would meet with him later to speak with him. The other was an unknown to me and despite the quality of her clothes marking her as at least being from a counts house I didn’t know her families standing and it was far to dangerous to pick a fight with an unknown.

As soon as I’d made sure everyone had shut up and was focused on me I spoke, my tone low and anger lining every word, “You are all nobles yes?” I asked, but I was met with complete silence from the room. “Then shut up sit down and listen to the teacher. As the heir to the house of Arbor and in conjunction with the first Princess of our kingdom Princess Elizabeth I declare that anyone from my kingdom who breaks the rules, wether noble or not will be harshly disciplined. I will however be having a conversation with the principal and board on how the dorms are assigned, I will not have my sister in a room with a bunch of boys without my supervision. If you have any other concerns bring them to me after class and I will address them. Now shut up sit your asses down and listen to the instructor!”
I could see in their faces that many of them still wanted to argue but an unlikely ally come to my aid in quelling the mob, behind me the elven princess declared her support and issued the same threat I had to her subjects. The other girl who hadn’t cowered when I had released my aura also stood up and despite not looking back at her I fully focused my attention on whatever she was about to say.
Her eyes darted around the room and slowly settled on the back of my head as she licked her lips to wet them before she spoke, “as the 12th princess of the Dragon-kin empire I declare any attempt to interfere with this new policy will be considered a transgression against our nation. I will also thank Sir Leonidas and Lady Elizabeth for stopping such a commotion before it got out of hand.”
As I finally turned to face her I saw Elizabeth to my right also look back at the princess. Despite our surprise, at her actual rank, both Elizabeth and I dipped our heads in acknowledgment of her thanks. Up at the podium, Mrs. Mageheart cleared her throat and clapped her hands to redirect everyone's attention as she resumed speaking. “Ahem, As I was saying with the zero-tolerance policy a noble right to kill is revoked, dorms will maintain their quality and their size will be increased as well, separate quarters for your guards to rest when they’re not with you are being prepared and another new feature is your guards will be expected to help patrol the campus except for the one bodyguard you're allowed with you in class. Titles will still need to be used and respect is still required to those of higher class, but the higher class students can not order lower-class students around.”

Taking a deep breath she looked around before turning her back to us and starting a basic lesson for the remainder of the class. After the class was over I walked out with Elizabeth and my sister and headed to the cafeteria. As we were headed down Alpha and two other of my soldiers surrounded us. They weren’t allowed in classrooms now but they could still follow us to meals, behind them two of my maids and a butler followed at a respectful distance. Despite only being allowed 15 guards all my servants were at least a B rank in combat. All of their levels were over 50 and they could all utilize mana or ki.
When we entered the cafeteria the maids went to grab our food and we sat down at a table in the far corner of the room. As we waited for our food Cassandra turned towards me and before I could even brace myself a tsunami of questions came pouring out, "Elder brother? Why do you think His imperial Majesty suddenly changed the rules?”
Elizabeth and I glanced at each other before I used telepathy to speak to her. We both know the reasons why but we weren’t sure if Cassandra could actually keep her mouth shut. After a quick mental conversation, I turned towards my sister and gave her a shortened version of the report I'd received from my spies and a couple of merchants. According to the report, it was a combination of a dragon's pride and his absolute adoration of his daughter. To pure-blooded dragons, all other species are lesser and the dragon-kin have inherited that pride as well. In all honesty, Their society was the closest to equality on this entire planet. Even if it was only because they viewed all lesser beings as the same level of insignificance. The second reason was simply that the Emporer of the Dragon-kin loved all of his children and he was known to go to great lengths to make sure they had everything they needed. He especially loved his middle daughter, the 12th princess Lisa. From what the spies had said she had the most potential out of all of the younger generation of Draconian royalty and she also had the biggest heart. What this came down to was the Emporer in all his selfishness changed school rules just so his daughter wouldn't see the darker side of our society.
When I finished Cassandra was shocked silent for a minute before she managed to pull herself together. Then she started scanning the room and I knew full well that she was thinking she had found a kindred spirit. Unfortunately for my sister, a friendship was impossible between them due to the fact that the church has brainwashed nearly every human to believe that they are the superior species and to hate all demi-humans, and monsters. Although it's more like humans are taught to hate anything that breathes and isn't human. It is the reason hate crimes in my city have gone up so much, I allow all species access and many humans who immigrated can’t handle the idea of together with them. The church is also trying to sabatoge me by sending spy’s and officials to stir up trouble among the peasants. With any luck my Inquisitors and enforcers should be able to track them down and beat the evidence out of them. Wether I’ll be able to use it to blackmail the church to stay away from us remains to be seen. While I though of stratagems and logistics my sister was mulling over everything I told her. Then her head jerked up and looked at the clock as her eyes widened, “Oh no second period is about to start! We need to hurry!”
All of us scarfed down our food as quickly as we could with our being inelegant and dashed out of the room. Our next class was physical conditioning and basic melee combat I was very excited to thrash everyone else and demonstrate my superiority over the pathetic mortals!

There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons.
