《Emperor Who Rules Over The Swords》Chapter 09— Superior

"Over here assholes!" Like a barbaric figure, Cayle shouted out at the sky, thankfully only the nearby ones heard him cried out…
Before he knew it, a goblin was already running his way. One after another, they were like dump of trash, piling up every seconds.
Cayle clenched his palm onto his sword. Despite the excitement, there was still fear in his eyes. However, he currently didn't have time to worry about such a thing. If he made even a single mistake, his life would be over.
From their appearance, the goblins seemed to be resenting towards him, while some were starving for his body. They wanted to end his life right away and eat his flesh.
Due to their low intelligence, even though Cayle was armed, the goblins continued to marched forward without hesitation. It seemed like they don't have that much awareness, and could only charge forward like a barbaric warrior.
As soon as they appeared by his side, Cayle swung his sword and slashed down. His form was clumsy, that's why he could only severe it's hand instead of slashing it into half.
After retracting his sword, Cayle didn't waited for the goblin to recover and swung his sword again, this time, it's head was sent flying.
Ttring!
A notification rang as soon the goblin's life ended. It seemed like it came from the chart made out of light. Unfortunately, Cayle didn't have the time to check it because he could see from close that two goblin's were already closing their distance onto him, holding knives in their hands.
If he panicked even for even a second, he'll be killed. Cayle strengthened his resolve, and tighten his gripped. As soon as the two figures of goblins appeared, they leap towards him with knives, hoping to thrust him.
Cayle slowly dodged into the side while maintaining his balance, and immediately swung his sword to the nearby one. Since he couldn't take two at the same time, he decided to eliminate the first one. After all, he was a novice at fighting, so he could only afford to use his head while engaging into a fight.
As soon as his blade descended onto the goblin's side, the goblin subconsciously took a defensive mode, and tried to block his sword with his hand…. To think that there's some who had high intelligence…. The reason Cayle was surprised, because goblin's were barbaric figure after all, even when facing life and death situation, they wouldn't put on a defense nor try to defend it, they'll just continue to rush forward like a madman wishing for death, but this fellow was different…

However, since his blade already reached his side, the goblin weren't able to make it on time to defend himself. He was slashed in half by his blade, before his body fell onto the ground lifelessly…
After killing the one in front of him, the other one was about to stab him into his waist. Without thinking further, Cayle rotated his body with the sword in his hand, soon, the blade descended into it's neck ending the goblin's life.
Now that he finished exterminating the three, none other came forward. They were all in the distance and couldn't see him. If they could, Cayle would be doomed.
He couldn't even defeat three at once since he wasn't a trained warrior, surely, if he engaged into a battle with more goblins right now, he would be immediately killed.
Whispering "importation" into the wind, the chart of light shown up in front of him. Like usual, the same thing appeared in front of him…
Race: Human
[Cayle Mischieve]
Age: 18 (27)
Level: 2
Strength: 7 [+]
Agility: 6 [+]
Constitution: 4 [+]
Mana: 6 [+]
Contribution Points: 5
[Remaining time: 1:59]
The only difference was, his level risen for about one point, and a "Contribution Points" was added into his stats.
He could also increase the stats in the chart by using the contribution points.
Since he wasn't lacking strength right now, Cayle didn't chose to raise his strength. The only options left to him was constitution, mana and agility, since the other two wasn't really that much useful, he decided to add all his points into constitution, so he could last longer and survive unexpected attacks.
After steeling his resolved, he agitated the goblins from afar, this time, he gone after a packed of goblins. The numbers that came forward to him was a lot, there was almost 20 of them, but he's not entirely sure if that's all… The method he came up with was to, swing his sword whenever one or two approached his side. Since goblin's has low intelligence, the method was really effective. Cayle continued slashing down at them, soon, their numbers decreased a leap.
Just as he was getting cocky since there's only five goblins left in front of him, a goblin suddenly emerged out from his side and stabbed his waist…
Cayle cried out in pain, as he immediately severe the goblin's head before taking out the knife in his shoulder.

At that single moment, the other's who were running in front of him leaped towards him with knives in their hands. At the same time, he raised the sword in his hand and swung it onto the air, making all four of their heads flying into the sky, dirtying everything with their blood dyed in green.
The goblins died however their knives continued flying out, Cayle swung his sword forward and deflected two at the same time, unfortunately, the other two passed through at his sword, before stabbing into his broad shoulder.
Two of it stabbed at the same place, fortunately it was his left shoulder. The sword soon fell to the ground as his other hand was forced to let go of it from the numbing pain in his side.
Cayle gritted his teeth and kept his voice at bay, if his scream was heard by the other goblin's from afar, he would be literally doomed. Cayle used his right hand and took out the knives stuck at his shoulder.
Lowering his body, Cayle took the sword at the ground using his right hand. The distance between him and statue wasn't that far, after calculating that he was a few meters away, Cayle charged forward with anger burning in his eyes…
The goblins was attracted of his blood, and soon gone berserk. Thankfully, due to that, he was able to defeat them at ease because all they do is charged forward.
As he swung his sword, one or two would have their life ended. Cayle kept going forward while slashing his sword.
Whenever he go, one or two will die, but the goblin's continued to dive forward. As his hand continued swinging his sword, he gradually felt like his body was becoming embodied of the sword.
Even those abnormal ones, that were hard to defeat, became easy for him. As the notification continued ringing, Cayle gradually became good at fighting. Earlier, he was having a tough time fighting three at once, but at the present, just a swing from his sword will end a life of five nor six.
Despite the fact of continually swinging his sword, only fighting spirit rose in his body instead of exhaustion. It seemed like his body was heating up into a wild fire, even him was scared at his changes.
As his focused became one with the sword he was holding, he could feel improvement from the battle experience he lacked..
By the time he arrived a few meters away, he could feel his hand going numb, despite that, he couldn't stop swinging his sword.
The sword on his hand were covered in blood, he couldn't even remember how many he had killed so far.
Abnormal nor normal ones, Cayle could no longer tell indifferently as he swung his sword all over the directions.
His eyes that was burning in fighting spirit, it soon became cold, in atmosphere. As he was swinging his sword towards the barbaric goblin's, his eyes soon narrowed in disgust. His eyes that was glancing side by side, stared coldly into the goblins… His eyes was so cold, it was as if a God was looking down onto a mortal.
Minutes had passed.
Hours had passed.
Almost half the day ran passed, and the crescent moon descended the sky, Cayle was still swinging his sword with a disgusted looks in his eyes..
By the time he stopped swinging, the land he was standing became a pile of corpses
Everywhere, at his every surroundings, bodies of fallen goblins became one with the ground. Their green bloods splatter over like a flowing river, and the figure of the victor shone bright like a sculpture into the sky.
Holding the sword in his hand with cold eyes, his purely black eyes resembled a God who descended the land.
Whispering "information" coldly into the sky, a chart made out of light appeared before his eyes.
Race: Human
[Cayle Mischieve]
Age: 18 (27)
Level: 17
Strength: 7 [+]
Agility: 6 [+]
Constitution: 9 [+]
Mana: 6 [+]
Contribution Points: 75
[Remaining time: 1:59]
He had leveled up a lot from killing goblins that his senses grown sharper, as his mind while holding a sword became cold…
After distributing both 25 points into strength and agility, he distributed the remaining 25 points indifferently at the remaining two stats, by putting 15 points into his mana while the remaining 10 into constitution.

Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.

The Only Survivor
I want revenge. However, to get revenge, I need information. And for information, I need answers. Yet to get answers, I need power. But for power, I need to survive. They made a grave mistake leaving me alive and locking me in a dungeon cell. They will live to regret it. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is a story in a fantasy world with lots of fantastical elements, including magic and cultivation. However, there's also some decent technology in this world. Gaining power has a system and nothing comes out of nowhere. Essentially, the setting and background is high fantasy but the focus will be whatever the MC sees, so expect more of a gritty realistic low fantasy most of the time. The MC is not OP and uses his wits and strategy to survive, and maybe even thrive. The warning tags are just there because I don't want any limits to where this story may lead me to writing. *I don't own the cover*
