"Alright, bud," Dr.Scott said, "we'll get this out and feed you some soup."

Theo's parents held his hand and held his head still. Dr.Scott counted before slowly pulling the feeding tube out. Theo began to whine and squirmed.

"Shhh, it's okay." Lisa soothed. In just under a minute, the tube was out. The bed was sat up, and warm chicken broth was on the table beside Theo's bed.

"D-da-'y do it?" Theo asked his mother with tear filled eyes.

"Of course baby," Lisa replied as she wiped the tears from Theo's face.

"It's okay, don't cry. It doesn't hurt my feelings." The boy moaned and whimpered as he felt bad. More tears rolled down his face.

Matt grabbed a tissue and wiped Theo's face. Matt put a big pillow under Theo's head so he could feed him. Matt brought a spoon full of broth to Theo's lips. Theo weakly sipped it.

"Good huh?" Matt asked.

Theo nodded as his mother smiled at him. On the last sip, Theo choked and began coughing. Matt put the empty bowl down and leaned his son forward, so his head was resting on his father's shoulder, and patted and rubbed his back. Once the boy stopped coughing, Matt when to lay him down but Theo weakly brought his hand up and clenched his father's shirt. Matt continued rubbing and patting his son's back. "You like that?" He asked as he chuckled softly.

"How long do you want me to do this?" He asked.

"F-f-f''rever. Theo replied.

"Forever?" Matt chuckled. Lisa rubbed Theo's back before saying,

"You need a bath, you stink." Theo shook his head and pointed at her.

"Y-y-you 'tinky." He said. Lisa gasped playfully.

"I'm stinky?!" Theo giggled as he nodded. Matt continued to rub his son's back. Soon, Theo's eyes grew heavy and then closed. Matt gently laid Theo down before kissing his forehead and Lisa did the same. The couple left the room to get the supplies needed to get their son clean.
