Three tomes appeared on the ground with a puff of smoke.

“Now remember, don't use those when you shouldn't. There are certain worlds that both you and many others don't want you going into. For the moment, it should only be used as an escape method when there are no portals available. Also, I threw something else in there; it's a sword technique I want you to learn. It's called the Reverse Scale technique. This technique is very important when you get to higher levels; once you get to a certain height, everyone has a basic understanding of this. It unravels a person’s character, revealing their most sensitive secret and when you have that, you’ll have a power over them that’s at a very fundamental level. Anyways, have fun while you’re out there.” The deity of war says with a chuckle.

“Thanks mom.” Serah says happily.

“No problem, baby girl. Just remember to call home more often. Also, a few of the things from our world system work outside our world. If you practice, Call Deity should be useful, and also, your daily power; super strength can be used outside, but you have to come back every once in a while to refill the charge. Also, keep your kitty close. I think she’s been getting lonely without you to play with. The kitty also has a connection with this place, and you shouldn’t underestimate her; she can level up even outside this world, and she can grow to have many abilities.” The deity of war says.

“My kitty?” Serah says with a tilted head.

*Poof*

A kitty appears, materializing from the shadows.

“Meow!” The kitty calls out.

Serah’s eyes widen before a bitter smile forms on her face. She really has been neglecting Shadow for a while. While she’s been out and about, fighting or exploring her sexuality, the kitty has always been around. She would go out hunting and rest in Serah’s dorm. When Serah left to join the Shadow Order, she kept Shadow here. She didn’t know if it was such a great idea to bring her, considering the dangers. But since it was suggested, Serah would bring her out more often. Shadow really was a useful kitty; sensitive to many things and Serah should be more considerate of her.

“Kitty…” Serah says, feeling somewhat sad at her neglect.

“Meow.” The kitty harrumphs before turning her head to the side, her disapproval clear in its expression.

Tears well up in Serah’s eyes and she lifts the kitty in the air. “Kitty! I won’t abandon you no matter what! We’re in it together for as long as we can! Adventuring till the end of our days!” She says somewhat excitedly.

“Meow.” The kitty says while turning away, still unsure of Serah’s goodwill.

“Kitty! You have to believe me! We’re going to grow up big and strong!” Serah says.

“Meow.” The kitty says. Shadow would believe her, for the moment…

“Oh? Is Shadow coming with us?” Samantha asks.

“Of course! Shadow also has to grow! Otherwise how could she evolve to a grown cat lady?” Serah says enthusiastically.

“Oh? She can grow to a cat lady?” Samantha asks.

“Sure she can! Or a super cat! Anything’s possible with effort!” Serah says with a raised fist.

“She would be a useful scout.” Nickie says as she leans down to pet Shadow.

“Meow!” The kitty calls out.

Serah tilts her head. “Why does it seem like she’s always liked you more than me?” She asks, curiously.

Nickie smiles. “Of course! Shadow can feel my love. From you, I’m sure she feels something else. She’s very sensitive you know, and you kind of give off that ‘dangerous when provoked’ aura. She can tell that for certain things, you have no hesitation, so she’s careful about you.” Nickie explains like it was a matter of fact.

“How do you know?” Serah asks, not quite willing to believe.

“Of course! Because me and Shadow are one of a kind! We’re both very sensitive to our feelings. If you weren’t so sexy I might feel the same way about you.” Nickie admits.

“Hmmm…” Serah says, not quite sure how to feel about that.
