《Outlaw Teens》Chapter 4

As soon as the speech ended, many came to introduce themselves to Drew . However, after exchanging a few words, they left him alone. He hated eating alone.
Suddenly, Ava appeared out of nowhere and plopped herself down on the empty chair in front of Drew.
"Hey, Drew."
"Hi, Ava."
"Nice speech, by the way."
"Thanks."
"You impressed me back there in the lab. I had been frustrating about it for two days and you fixed the issue in less than two minutes."
"Yeah." Drew grinned.
"Tomorrow, I'll like to see all your gadgets."
"Sure, I'll love to show you all of mine.
For the next fifteen minutes, Ava and Drew introduced themselves to each other. They both narrated their story of how they end up here.
"Alright then." Ava stood up from the table once they both had finished their food. "Good night. See you tomorrow."
"Sure, I'll look forward to it." Drew bid her farewell and headed back towards his room while Ava stayed behind to have conversation with her friends.
On the way, Drew passed through certain other teenagers. All of them would treat him with a, "Hey Drew", before resuming their work.
Once he reached his room, he collapsed on his bed, ready for a good night's sleep. However, the bubble of thoughts burst open as soon as soon as he decided to lie down.
Unable to sleep, he finally found himself turning on the TV and settling on the first movie that came on the list. Watching any random movie at night always helped him sleep and the trick proved effective once again. Within fifteen minutes, he fell asleep.
The next morning, Zack's hologram call woke him awake.
"Hey Drew." Zack's hologram appeared in front of Drew.
"Good Morning, Zack." Drew let out a yawn.
"Hurry up for breakfast. We need to start your training today." Zack's hologram spoke.
"Alright, I'll get ready as fast as possible." Drew ended the call and slowly got up from the bed. He walked to the bathroom and entered the glass shower box.
As soon as he turned on the shower, about twenty water jets splashed with his body, cleaning every part of his body. After enjoying the hot shower for five minutes, he came out of the bathroom, wore a new outfit and then walked out of the room.
In the hall, people had already gathered for breakfast. He spotted Zack eating breakfast with the same group consisting of Judy and a few others he didn't yet know.
"Hey Zack." Drew said, walking towards Zack's table.
"Oh, hi Drew. Treat yourselves to breakfast and then come to my room." Zack replied.
"Okay." Drew nodded.

He sat down on one of the seat and wondered whether the chair next to him will remain empty or not. However, after two minutes, Ava sat down on the other chair again.
"Good Morning." Ava wished.
"Same to you." Drew replied.
"So, are you coming to my lab after breakfast."
"I have to meet Zack after breakfast."
"Oh, right; your training."
"Yeah." Drew replied.
"So meet me when you're done with today's training." Ava said.
After that, they talked about gadgets and wires and other stuff during the breakfast.
Once they both were done with their breakfast, Ava made Drew promise that he would see her after the training before letting him go meet Zack.
"Take me to Zack." Drew said to the Walker.
The Walker responded by carrying Drew to a red door. On the door, the name 'Zack' was carved on a square piece of Kerb. He rang the doorbell and waited for the gate to open.
"Hi Drew." Zack opened the door.
"Your name is carved on Kerb." Drew stated.
"Yeah, it was my birthday gift from Bogart."
"That's so cool." Drew exclaimed.
"Yeah." Zack agreed. "Anyway, are you ready for your training."
"Yep." Drew replied.
"Let's go then."
Drew followed Zack across the hall and into a door which had the words 'Training Area' labeled on it.
As soon as the door opened, Drew saw at least ten shooting ranges in front of him. In some of them, people were already practicing their aims.
Zack pointed to an empty shooting range. A robot was standing at the end of the shooting range and about hundred meters away from it was a low glass wall.
"Stay behind the wall." Zack instructed. "Now shoot at the robot."
There was a table in front of them where guns of different sizes were kept along with a Stunner and grenades.
"Have you ever fired a gun before?" Zack asked.
Drew shook his head.
"Of course." Zack muttered. "Let me teach you how to fire one."
Zack picked up the the smallest gun and tossed it to Drew, who caught it with shaky hands.
"Now shoot at the robot." Zack commanded.
"It's too far away." Drew complained.
"Alright." Zack sighed. He connected his phone with the robot and then brought it closer.
"There. Happy?" Zack stated.
Drew aimed with full concentration at the robot which caused his tongue to stick out. However, the shaking of his hands caused the first shot to miss.
"Don't worry. Keep trying." Zack cheered.
Drew's second shot missed too and even his third shot did. However, the fourth shot landed on the elbow of the robot.

"Very nice. Now let's try the grenade."
Zack handed a grenade to Drew who examined it for a few seconds. There were two small buttons.
"Press the first button. The white one." Zack instructed.
Drew did as he was told and suddenly a red laser light came out of the grenade.
"This laser light will indicate where the grenade will go. Bring it to the robot."
Drew moved the laser to the head of the robot.
"Now press the other button which will lock on the target and then throw it."
Drew pressed the other button and then carefully aimed the grenade at the robot.
"You don't need to aim." Zack said. "Give it to me.
Zack snatched the grenade from Drew. He then casually tossed the grenade behind him.
"What are you doing!" Drew shouted. However, to his amusement, the grenade automatically changed course and landed on the head of the robot before exploding.
Drew covered his ears as he watched the magnificent yellow explosion in front of him. Once the smoke cleared away, the robot was still in the same place, showing no glimpse of damage.
"See? Easy, right?" Zack asked.
"Yeah." Drew agreed.
"Now, it's time for some combat." Zack declared.
After that, without saying anything, Zack started walking across the shooting range and towards another door.
"By the way, can I ask you a question?" Drew asked as they walked towards the door.
"You sure do ask a lot but, shoot."
"How did you came to know the police was after me?"
"We have camouflage drones that keep a watch on everything that's happening around the city."
"So there are some people who spend their entire day keeping watch over the city?"
"Luckily, no. My friend Judy made a software that can automatically figure out if something is wrong or not. If something is wrong, I automatically get the notification for it on my phone. That's how I arrived."
"Wow! Cool!" Drew exclaimed. "Anyway, where are heading to?"
"Combat Ground." Zack said, stopping towards a door. Outside the door, a black outfit with a screen in middle was hanging.
"Wear it." Zack commanded.
"Alright." Drew wore it over his previous outfit.
"Behind this door is a huge room. Five robots are inside the room, well armed with guns. You need to eliminate all of them." Zack stated.
"Well armed with.... guns? What if they like.... kill me?" Drew hesitated.
"No they won't." Zack laughed. "They have rubber bullets. However, as soon as one of the bullet will hit your outfit, the health displayed in your outfit screen will be reduced.
"This will be fun then." Drew smirked.
"Good luck." Zack handed him a rifle, a stunner and two grenades.
Inside the room it was dark. The lights in the room were very dim but even in the dim light, Drew could make out rock covers at certain places. He took cover behind one of the rock and then looked around using the torch on his rifle.
After waiting for about a minute, the first robot came out of the cover. Drew reacted fast, firing the gun at the robot. However, most of his bullets missed and to make matters worse, two more robots came out and began their heavy firing on Drew.
Alerted, Drew pushed himselves back to the cover. The health shown on his screen was only 20%.
After taking a few deep breaths, Drew got out of the cover again, fully determined this time. He managed to take down one robot but the firing by other robots reduced his health to zero. The screen started flashing red and the robots stopped firing anymore.
"Couldn't do it?" Zack entered the room.
"Yeah." Drew nodded.
"Watch and learn now." Zack took away all the weapons from Drew along with the outfit.
"Lucy, reset the game." Zack commanded.
In response, the health on the suit turned back to hundred and the robots went back inside the cover.
"The robots won't shoot you now. I am their target. You just observe me." Zack ordered.
Zack got out of the cover and started firing at one of the robot, taking him down with three shots on head. He then got back in cover when the other four robots came out.
Zack greeted the robots by tossing grenades at them. Both the grenades took down one robot with them leaving only two remaining.
"What are you planning to do now?" Drew whispered.
"You'll see."
Zack got out of the cover, exposing himself to the bullets again. He took a few quick shots and then dived to a new cover after being shot once.
He reloaded the gun and then fired at one of the robots from the cover, taking him down. This left only one robot remaining.
To handle the remaining one robot, he simply came out of the cover and advanced towards the robot with his gun blazing.
The bullets fired from his gun landed right on the target and within seconds, the robot collapsed to the ground. He had successfully wiped away all of the robots.
Zack's combat skills left Drew spellbound. It looked as if he was made for combat. One thing became very clear inside Drew's mind - Zack was a warrior by birth.

Raul The Reality-Reshaper
Raul Medrano had believed he was a normal human his entire life until the day he turned 21. And so began Raul's life as an immensely powerful adventurer who has and uses a variety of powers to change his world, and the grander omniverse for the better. This story features an overpowered protagonist who meets and faces off against other overpowered entities, but it begins with the protagonist in a small world where he swiftly becomes one of the big dogs so conflict, in the beginning, isn't going to be especially challenging. This story also mixes elements from my own distinct setting, the multiverse in which "A Solitary God" takes place, with elements from the settings created by people over on the NSFW CYOA (Choose your own adventure) subreddit, such as TroyxPage, and specific CYOAs such as "Goddess of Mankind" and "Love Azathoth" into one distinct, wholly original story. When relevant I'll post links to the CYOAs a chapter references in the author's notes section. Image credit: I got the image for the cover from Pixabay. This story was posted originally on ScribbleHub and will continue to be posted both there and elsewhere.
