A few weeks later Zhang Fei was sitting in his office talking on the phone with one of his underlings while Xia Ruo sat in front of him bored as hell with both her hands propping up her face. She wore casual clothing and looked really pleasing to the eye when looked at her beautiful countenance and dazzling eyes that would take one's breath away when looked upon with. When the call ended Zhang Fei immediately told Xia Ruo an answer before she could repeat her question, "the answer is no, I am not interested in going with you anywhere."

"Oh come on, you are always here busy with your work or fishing up some sinister plots to ruin someone's life, it wouldn't kill you to take some time off and besides you would have the beautiful me to give you company."

Zhang arched his brow when he heard the part about 'Fishing up some sinister plans to ruins someone's life'. Is it that obvious?

"Hmm let me think about it."

Xia Ruo showed a brilliant smile thinking that she finally got through Zhang Fei and he would finally say yes to going out but Zhang Fei chose to pour cold water on her hopes, "No."

Recently Xia Ruo had constantly been trying to hang out with Zhang Fei and would ask him to go out with her to one place or another to which Zhang Fei's answer would always be a 'No'. Even though Zhang Fei said no Xia Ruo still continued to nag him about it. All the employees of the building knew that Xia Ruo was Zhang Fei's girlfriend and recently she would visit him every day and would spend some time with him before going back to her office or home, she would even sometimes bring lunch for the boss as well, everyone thought that the boss' girlfriend was cute for being so caring for her boyfriend. When she entered the CEO room, the door would remain closed and no one would dare to enter the room and disturb them unless absolutely necessary.

No one knew what went on in the room between the two, everyone thought that would lovingly talk with each other and talk to each other about their day, the usual couple stuff, while some daring folks had some really steamy ideas. (0w0)

Meanwhile Coco had found a new hobby, since he could interact with the world if he wanted to, to a certain extent, he realized he could use this ability for something useful, he could haunt people. Hence Coco was currently busy making things fall of counters, switch off lights and make elevators stop at the wrong floors so he could scare people and it worked wonderfully as the office workers would often be scared and a bit paranoid after such events. Hehe this is so fun, no wonder the stupid ghosts enjoy doing this so much.

"Please? Just this once, consider it as a favor." Xia Ruo continued with her efforts to bring Zhang Fei out to get something to eat, she wanted to give him a treat as thanks for saving her previously at the mansion. Xia Ruo was glad that she had made a partnership with Zhang Fei previously as it had helped her a lot in getting her revenge, if she was to be honest it wouldn't so easy for her to do it on her own and she would have probably taken a long time to get her revenge. Although she was glad that she was almost done with her plans of getting revenge she was still curious as to why Zhang Fei wanted to ruin Mo wenzi and Xia Su even though they had nothing to do with him at all, when she had asked him for his reason', she was expecting a reply with proper reasoning but instead she got a lazy reply of 'they are annoying that's why'. She didn't believe him, but she understood he wanted to keep to it himself and she wasn't going to pry it out of him since he had helped her so much.

Zhang Fei looked at her as if she was an annoyance and said," Fine but just this once, don't bother me again for such a thing, we still have a work to do to complete our plans."

Xia Ruo mostly ignored everything Zhang Fei said after 'fine' and just said, "Yeah, yeah okay I understand"

They both went towards the elevator to get to the ground floor but the elevator wasn't coming up no matter how much they waited and how many times they furiously pressed the button, Zhang Fei asked his secretary what was wrong with the elevator and his secretary replied saying that it was malfunctioning recently and someone was already occupied with fixing it. Actually this wasn't any malfunction but rather coco messing with elevator to annoy the employees for shits and giggles.

Zhang Fei and Xia Ruo decided to begrudgingly go down the stairs, Zhang Fei was in the front as they went down with Xia Ruo following behind him who had a smug smile on her face when she thought about her win over Zhang Fei in making him go out completely forgetting that she had failed multiple times in the last few weeks in trying to convince him to go out. Coco had sensed that his host was going downstairs and went to follow his host. When they reached the ground floor and were going towards Zhang Fei's car it was Zhang Fei who had a smug smile on his face and Xia Ruo had a blush from embarrassment and was hatefully glaring at Zhang Fei.

When they were going down the last steps Xia Ruo missed a step and was falling towards the floor with Zhang Fei right in front of her. Coco had thought that the following scene would be like a cliché scene in a story where the female lead misses a step and falls down the stairs but the male lead stops her from falling, then they look at each other in the eyes lost in thought and when they come into their senses they become red from embarrassment and it also becomes one of the many events that makes a romance blossom between the two.

But Coco forgot that Zhang Fei was anything but a normal person, he simply side stepped and let Xia Ruo fall to the floor face first. He didn't even look back and just chuckled lowly at Xia Ruo who was still lying on the floor and she became red with embarrassment as he continued walking forward. The car ride was just Zhang Fei showing a smug smile to Xia Ruo who had a darkened expression this time around which took quite some time to get rid of. They proceeded to go to a nearby restaurant where they had a nice and 'uneventful' meal. They talked about their current plans and had a healthy discussions about how the people in the past used to torture people. Coco looked at Xia Ruo who was talking about such topics with enthusiasm with pity. *sigh* it's too late to save her, she has already been corrupted by the dark side.

After the meal they were ready to head their different ways as they went towards the exit of the building but coincidentally they met someone who Xia Ruo was familiar with apparently. He was one of the top executives of Xia Ruo's company and also was a person well acquainted with the young manager from Zhang Fei's company. He had helped Xia Ruo a lot in the early days of her company when it was against the attacks of the Xia Corporation. Zhang Fei was already aware of him.

"Ah hello Mrs. Xia, fancy seeing you here."

"hmm, oh Luo what are you doing here?"

The man who was named Luo wore a fine suit and was tall but had a lanky build with a pale face and had dark circles below his eyes. It made him look like a real shady character instead of a businessman and people would get weird vibes from him when talking to him but Xia Ruo seemed to trust him.

"Nothing much, Mrs.Xia I was just meeting some investors who were interested in making deals with the company, we decided to have something to eat before we could discuss business, I was just headed there, the meeting will be in an hour."

"Right you mean the foreign investors we were talking about last time, oh I forgot, Luo meet Zhang Fei, my boyfriend, Zhang Fei meet Luo, he is a senior executive at the company and helps a lot with the work."

"hehe Mrs.Xia you flatter me, hello Mr.Zhang Fei, I have heard a lot of things about you from my boss, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Zhang Fei didn't pay him much attention and just nonchalantly glanced at him and said, "Same."

"So Luo you came here straight from the office?"

"Ah no Mrs.Xia I left the office a bit early, there is a place where novel enthusiasts come and discuss books, I love books myself so I regularly go there, I went there before I came here to attend the monthly gathering." He talked with a low and sharp voice with narrowed eyes which seemed to be a habit, he sounded really shady whenever he spoke.

[He looks like a fucking drug dealer, is he sure he didn't choose the wrong profession?].Coco seriously thought that he got the wrong job for his future. Wait, is drug dealing even a job? Zhang Fei didn't answer Coco but his interest was piqued when he talked about books, how could he, as an author and an avid reader not have interest in such a topic. It seemed that even Xia Ruo was interested in what discussions went on there and asked questions about it, Luo seeing that there was still time to the meeting continued talking about it with his boss and Zhang Fei just silently listened to whatever was being talked about. Then Luo committed the ultimate mistake of his life.

"I also heard about a new author that has recently started publishing books, although he keeps himself anonymous but he still rather famous."

"Oh and who is this author?" It was Zhang Fei who asked the question this time. He seemed interested in who this anonymous author was.

"Well it's a guy called M, he uses and alias and likes to be anonymous, he is very famous but to be honest his books are really crappy. I don't know why people enjoy His books, even his recent one was real bad."

"Oh." Zhang fei just replied with a flat tone.

[haha host he called your books shit.] Yes, he called Zhang Fei's books shit. Before dying Zhang Fei had many ideas for his new books but due to his untimely death he couldn't finish them and get a review about them from his beloved fans but since he came back to life he could now do so. He chose to publish books anonymously and his books got famous real quick and he also got quite a fan base.

Luo didn't notice the darkening expression of Zhang Fei and continued to insult his books. "It's not just his books, I think his fans are dimwitted as well, no taste at all, I mean why would anyone like those books, in my opinion that author should just stop publishing such nonsense and stop wasting everyone's time. They are a real eyesore. The books are an insult to the art of writing and is a disgrace to the many brilliant writers who share the same platform with that M. I hope he finds his true calling and stops with with his nonsense hobby" Luo looked at his watch and found that that it was just about time to meet the investors. "Right Miss Xia, the time for the meeting is nearing, I should ask for my leave."

"Sure go ahead."

"Right and farewell Mr. Zhang Fei, I hope we meet again later."

"Yeah ...........sure." Zhang Fei replied with a cold face that didn't have an ounce of emotion and had really chilly eyes.

When Luo looked at him he shivered at how frightening Zhang Fei looked, and hastily made his escape. After he went away from the two a mocking expression came onto his face. He gave a harrumph and went towards his table where the meeting was to be held.
