《Phantom Transgression》Chapter 17

Camshron understood he was a psycho.
He was in danger and he was trying his best to remove suspicion from him so he wore T-shirt with cheesy words.
"Silent! Silent!" said Camshron in a low voice which just Mike could hear it clear, "Don’t speak anything. Let's get down on the next stop. With us…" He felt informing him he was from CIA was going to be a terrible act.
If he would tell him, then he might flee and create a great trouble for them.
Camshron heard tramps on stairs. He soon saw a man in a strange look. Mike turned back to see who it was, then he turned at Nathan. Camshron also turned back and saw the fancy dress man staring at Mike.
If Mike would not have turned back, then he would not have been seen by him. Camshron didn’t tell this to Mike and tried to act as normal passenger but he couldn’t stop himself from watching Phantom Being twice or thrice a minute.
Camshron told to himself, "Mike don’t worry you are safe…for now."
The journey was long for the detective who was hanging out with a psycho with cops and a person, perhaps the killer. All the time Phantom Being was looking at Mike. In a few minutes a zebra crossing came and he told his assistants to get downstairs and pretend they have hijacked the bus, but it was very late.
Mike saw Phantom Being in the end.
When the bus stopped in front of a zebra crossing, then he pushed Camshron and jumped out of the window. Camshron and others took the stairs, but Phantom Being was never a patient man and never was going to be.
He too jumped out before Camshron or anyone could grab him and started running after Mike.
Camshron and his group started following them.
Phantom Being was making Mike run towards the silent side of the city as per his plan, but Camshron did not have Plan B for this right now. He had just a way to run after him so that either Phantom Being get's or Mike.
"Excuse me…" Camshron roared by stopping and fired at Phantom Being, but he missed. Phantom Being didn’t mind the attempt at all.
He was still after Mike. "Take short cuts." he said and his group almost scattered, leaving just two or three cops with him.
He huddled by being safe from dustbin as well as some shots from Phantom Being.

At last, he aimed at Phantom Being's head and squeezed the trigger.
With accurate timing Phantom Being sat down and now he was safe, but Camshron was not. The bullet hit on the weak wall and the wall started falling.
Heavy bricks were flying over Camshron's head. He had nothing to do except run from raining bricks.
Mike got a pipe attached to a house and started climbing on it. When he reached on floors up, Phantom Being was pulling a gun on him. Mike was a crazy but not so much who can be fooled with ease.
He also had a Jericho 941 Pistol on his waist and he pressed the trigger, aiming fast at Phantom Being with shivering hands.
It resulted in a misfire.
Camshron fired on Phantom Being.
This time he almost hit him.
Phantom Being picked up a metallic dustbin and threw it to Camshron.
WHAM!
It hit on his nose.
His two cops were not there. They were somewhere Camshron didn’t know. He was once more just about to shoot at the same time cops jumped from everywhere. Phantom Being couldn’t afford to kill anyone there, otherwise he was going to be shot.
He pulled the pipe o which Mike was. Because of his strength the pipe got out and whammed on ground making flame like water.
Camshron crossed the water and saw Phantom Being climbing on a five storey building. By watching it he said in mike, "Help! We are almost up to him." and hung up the call. But Phantom Being was already on the top of building, he was a brilliant athlete.
"Oh,Mike!"Detective Camshron starting to climb the house. He too was not a slow man. He got on the apex like a monkey and saw Phantom Being searching for someone.
He could bet a million that he was trying to figure out Mike's location.
"Hey you." Camshron shouted and fired at Phantom Being.
Phantom Being was brilliant.
He dodged the bullet this time, but it hit on window and its glass pieces fell on him.
He was now a bit hurt, but first degree injury couldn’t stop him from defending himself.
He made a deep laughter and looked at Mike, who was flying over him with a gun in his grip.
Camshron this time got Phantom Being's left shoulder.
Bullet hit him badly.
Looked like Phantom Being was nervous but Camshron knew if he had not bullet proof jacket then right now he would have been yelling. Soon ever cop got in the top, but Mike was not there.

Phantom Being got up by stumbling while everyone was running at him but before he could be caught, he shot Mike's shoulder who was very near to him (but it was meant to be shot at heart) and jumped down.
"No!" shouted Camshron.
He gazed down and saw Phantom Being nowhere.
In a few seconds local police force was very active and seemed sealed whole South Dakota's route 95 as well as perimeter of nine kilometers from the point where they were now.
Camshron saw many cops gazing up, but Phantom Being was nowhere.
"Down! Down!" growled Camshron and jumped to a story. He grabbed window, broke the glass and got in.
No one was there.
For a few minutes he himself searched my placed of the house for self satisfaction but no one was there.
The arrival of cops in the whole building made Camshron sure he had vanished in thin air. His nose bled, but he had no time for pain. With few dozed of police cops they searched in the whole house but there was no sign of anyone.
An hour later,
The man drove his car through the busy street of Washington.
Here and there he would see some police vans and would hear the police siren ringing behind his back.
They are not coming for me. They never will. Phantom Being pressed the accelerator of his car, regardless.
On his way to his residence, he was even stopped by cops to check on his papers.
License, car documents and tax papers.
Phantom Being had got all of them.
Leaving the perimeter surrounded by cops didn’t stop till he reached infront of his house.
He parked his car inside the yard and went inside the tiny house having four rooms.
Phantom Being had never thought he would need to use the hologram.
The agent behind him had given him some serious chase.
But this was why he had been keeping the hologram in the first place. And it had served him very well.
He moved to a drawer and pulled it towards him.
Along with some guns, a disc like device slid towards his direction.
Picking it up, he turned on his laptop and connected the device to his laptop with a USB cable.
It was the last piece of hologram he possessed.
He hadn’t flashed it in a while.
In fact, years.
But now he felt he should be updating the device to get more true to his name.
Phantom Being turned the device on.
His opaque image walked around the room.
The image from the disc was intelligent enough to react according to the surrounding.
His projection ran towards the exit door and began touching the door knob.
Excellent. He smiled.
The projection turned transparent for half a second.
Then for more.
Seconds later, it disappeared like smoke.
It was not how the hologram worked.
Phantom Being activated the device again, but this time it did not even project anything.
Half an hour of repairmen later, he gave up on fixing the disc.
He put the screws back on the disc and kicked back on his chair.
Phantom Being sat in his chair with his eyes closed for a minute.
The first thing he did after opening his eyes was reaching out for his mobile phone.
He swiped up to search for a number.
Josh.
Phantom Being knew he had some numbers of illegal weapon sellers in his phone.
He had a rule that he never made purchase with one dealer more than once.
Among three last three contact numbers, he chose the one on first.
"Hello." Phantom Being pressed his phone to his ear as he spoke, "I've got a hologram."
"Hologram disc?" Josh asked.
"Yes."
"Does it work?"
"I don’t know." Phantom Being was comfortable lying, "These ultra high-tech devices are beyond my understanding."
"What is it made of?"
"Ceramic and titanium."
"Tell more."
"Titanium ring around projection zone. Rubber base."
"Weight?"
"One hundred and sixty seven grams. Height- one inch one."
"You are correct with the specifications. I guess you have got a real one with you." Josh said.
"I demand one unique gun for this. Not cash."
"Which gun?"
"Any one gun I don’t possess. But it should be a long-range gun." Phantom Being made his caveat clear.
"Okay, bring it to me. I will give you a satisfying firearm-"
"I don’t like casual give and take approach. I will have it sent to your location."
"And what about your part?"
"I have way of my own."

Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry. Overview: 001–030 Arc 1, Cultivating Perseverance: complete. 031–060 Arc 2, Undying Defiance: complete. 061–090 Arc 3, Unyielding Fury: scheduled for publishing. 091–120 Arc 4, Savage Hope: scheduled for publishing. 121–150 Arc 5, Self-Made Fate: first draft in progress. 151–180 Arc 6, Heretic Style: sketching in progress.
